    Crystyn and Doug are the nicest couple. My wife and I got our RAM Promaster stuck in the woods of Mammoth Lakes and they helped tow us out. They drove up, stopped everything they were doing, and without hesitation helped us in a time of need. Thank you, Doug and Crystyn - you are the best!!

    You guys have such practical advice!
    I hope you did a specific video on the LiPo batteries, Solar, and Inverter System! I know if we buy a Casita, then that is one CRITICAL system we MUST have. I'll search for it next after I watch the rest of the video. 😎
    Well done!!!

    Hey Crystyn. If you're not using that step any longer I sure could use it. I gave one exactly like it away with the Mainline. You can see it in the video. I sure do miss that step.. LOL. Great video. I never bothered with the Jackery. I did as you did except I put the power station in the van so I can tow any of my trailers and just plug them into the van.

    We are perplexed by your comment that the Outlander fire pit uses a 20 lb tank of propane in 2 hours. Our truck (if it were adapted for propane) would barely use this much towing our Casita! We use our Outlander fire pit for multiple nights and it barely puts a dent in a 20 lb tank. We love it

    Another great video. Personally, I like the Coleman chairs a lot better than the Pico chairs. I got rid of the Pico chair that I had and kept the Coleman chair. The Coleman aluminum frame chair is much better than the Coleman steel frame chair.

    Thanks for the video! Can you please please let me know about the shelves you built in the little closet! I'm moving back from Spain very soon and can NOT wait to get back into my awesome little Casita. Trying to optimize all the space and the closet is a huge issue. I've always wanted shelves, but can NOT figure out a good way to do it. You input is MUCH appreciated! 😊

    So you stopped using your percolator, which is a bit messy but environmentally friendly with used coffee grounds being a great fertilizer, for a pod system that just adds more plastic waste to the world.

    My wife and I have binge watched your videos this morning. I think we might have made up our minds to get the Casita and we are impressed with all you've done. We would like to know if the carpeted walls are a necessary for insulation? I imagine they are. My wife worries that every little thing she cooks is going to get soaked up into that carpet and smell. Do you find that to be an issue?

    • @TravelsandTravails
      @TravelsandTravails  Год назад +1

      The carpeted walls provide insulation and noise reduction. We haven’t had any issues with the walls, except a slight discoloration around the air conditioner. You can clean the walls with a carpet cleaner.

    • @TravelsandTravails
      @TravelsandTravails  2 месяца назад

      We have a bamboo rug in front of the bathroom door. That way we can step out of the bathroom to dry ourselves and not get the floor wet. It’s pretty tight in the shower. I sit down to shower and set out to dry, like I mentioned.

    I already got an answer from the company. Since you are so thorough and VOC off gas is so prevalent, can you let people know their cabinetry is not formaldehyde free. In a small area like this, compared to an open kitchen, formaldehyde is a cancer causing agent that has been proven to be dangerous.
    Thanks

    What's smaller than the Casita, and higher quality?

    • @TravelsandTravails
      @TravelsandTravails  11 месяцев назад

      A Scamp 13 is smaller, but I would say the quality is comparable. Both brands make a durable trailer that will last for decades. But here is a list of molded fiberglass trailers that are good quality: travelsandtravails.com/a-comparison-of-the-top-molded-fiberglass-trailers-specifications-in-2023/

    • @joybrown8644
      @joybrown8644 9 месяцев назад

      Of these quality trailers on the list in the link which would a 6’3” 260 lb man be comfortable in? (At the same time - not too wide or long for his wife to feel more comfortable to travel solo! - Along with that - which of those would be easiest for a newbie (whose a 50 year old female solo) to hook up, empty, etc.?

    • @TravelsandTravails
      @TravelsandTravails  9 месяцев назад

      @@joybrown8644 Are you asking about Casita models? The best model for tall people is the Casita Independence because the bed is 83” long. That being said, I think you may struggle in the Casita because the ceiling height is only about 6’ 1 ½” high. And the bathroom is tiny. There are many women who tow small trailers. Hitching the trailer is not a formidable task, but our Anderson Weight Distribution hitch is difficult to work with. There are other weight distribution hitches out there if you need one, but I don’t have any experience with them. Crystyn

  • @forrestandrews6765
    @forrestandrews6765 Год назад

    Not to be picky or anything, but you should consider getting a bigger trailer than that one. Main necessity of a trailer is the bathroom.
