Glad too see Brian held on to his morals and family teachings by not selling out to the devils In hollywood,he a good example of how u can still be successful in the buisness if u take the independent route, work when u want and how u want, have longevity and relevant at the same time.good ol Bakersfield real boy, salute champ 🫡
Miss Brian Hooks man. Phat Beach is my favorite movie he played in. I wish him many more blessings, happiness & success rather he’s in the business or not. Either way he’s a legend. 💯
Definitely a talented actor ,3 strikes, nothing to lose so many other classic movies ,salute to Brian Hooks and a very inspirational interview straight 🔥🔥 🔥💯
Brian was ahead of the game from the start, never knew he was apart of so many films behind the scenes. Dude is dope and he stands on his morals and principles not too many people can relate....I loved the movie Adam + Eve. Much respect to Brian Hooks ❤
legend in his own right. he lookin good too. healthy. i hope he resurfaces more. "ima buy me some rims and tires, and take me a trip to a i-land" lmao the donzeli song till bump today
He has not aged a bit!!! I would love to see more of him especially in a detective role on a tv show. Go away from comedy for bit. I absolutely adore this mans talent and level headedness. I know his siblings going to chew him out in regards to his momma favorite lol!
Not lookong for likes... Im hoping B Hooks read this....And i could care less bout celebrities..Excellent interview for both parties..You showing how to maneuver and still be yourself...While paying homage to those before you and how you carried it for them. One of my favorites phat beach/3 strikes/bbq movie loved your work when I was young you got me thru some tough times.. SOME PEOPLE STILL STAND OUT SOLO OR IN THE END CROWD(WHATEVER)...NO Validation needed long as we stand on our PRINCIPLES.. RESPECT THE LAST OF A DYING BREED
Brian stole the show in the movie High School High. I always thought he was super funny and this is my first time seeing him do an interview outside his roles. He’s nothing like his characters and thank God for his parents and childhood so he didn’t end up like so many others.
I never took his work seriously. I thought he was just a B-movie actor. This video gives me a bigger introspective of who HE was/is. He basically took the Olsen twins, straight to DVD movies guy, getting checks for (and from) a particular audience. Now I have to go back and watch his older catalogs so that he can receive some residual checks. #muchrespect
Brian Hooks is one individual dat goes down in the Hall of Fame of comedy book & I don’t care what nobody say deez dudes was authentic!! 1. Bernie Mac 2. Eddie Griffin 3. Kat Williams 4. Wayne Brothers Damon & Marlon 5. Mike Epps 6. Brian Hooks 7. Dick Gregory 8. Jamie Foxx 9. AJ Johnson 10. Charleston White
I remember seeing Phat Beach in the theater. I was probably way too young to see it. It ended up sparking my interest in sex and my parents had to have that talk after that lol
Don’t give a dam what anybody says. Soul plane was 🔥 with a ton of talented and funny individuals. Didn’t deserve to be called trash by the interviewer to one of the people who put his effort in regardless. And then to keep trying to say Brian Hooks is slowing down or how he handled that. Give the man his props in an interview. Not passive aggressively tear him down to his face. You can definitely tell my man was not a Brian hooks fan. Shame
@NoBiasAllBoxing What I said isn't backward. The behavior, however, is. Many people sire children and are biologically the "father." However, a dad is the one who goes beyond the creation and the momentary pleasure and grinds out the responsibility of the act. I have an adult child whom I schooled and educated about the pitfalls of being with a father vs. a dad. She is now a single mother with 3 kids. By the very 🥷 I educated her about avoiding. Now that is bASS bUCKING Fackwards .
Soul Plane is a movie that you do stop and watch like Good fellas or the God Father. It doesn't matter what part it is when you changing the channel. I bet his house is paid and his cars.
For the record we loved soul plane most bootleg movie in the hood hands dwn when that movie hit the streets I don't know anybody who wasn't quoting the movie or passing the movie around or asking to see it so if you hear negativity about that movie people are lying because people like to lie movie was 🔥 everybody played there part we met Godfrey in that movie his role was hilarious,Brian of course had everybody watching him haven't seen him foreal since 3 strikes so we was looking for him to be a damn fool wit samore man that movie was star studed Tom Arnold lil wb from jack ahh was funny for its time man that movie was Gold
Most entertainers don’t have to reach Denzel or Tyler Perry status in order to leave their mark. Having the ability to touch audiences in a way that is memorable is a gift. Mr. Hook has an aura of wholesomeness, sincerity and love of craft that comes across on screen. As far as Soul Plane, I laughed through out that movie 🎬🎬🎬🎬
Brian Hooks is a logical, innovative legend. He's one of my all time favorite talents. Respect.
Brian Hooks is def a household classic actor , especially in the independent film world , great interview
Periodt!
Smart man very cool that he shared how he was able to enjoy success via indie movies. That first come-up story with the DVD distribution was 🔥

What I always liked about him is that he looks like a normal brother, the guy we all went to school with

This interview inspired and humbled me I mean honestly I was already a fan but now he like a mentor 💯💯💯
Too bad like he said a lot of Dads don’t wanna be a Dad. Truly a blessing
It's alot of parents don't want to be parents.
A lot of dads is an exaggeration. It is more like some "dads" don't want to be dads because there are plenty of dads being dads.
I LOVE THIS GUY!!!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
It’s safe to say Brian didn’t sell his soul which is commendable 💯💪🏾

I didn't know Brian Hooks was behind Nothing To Lose. That movie had me laughing so hard.
Black people were critical of Soul Plane, but loved Airplane so much "they" made a sequel and it (the original movie Airplane) became classic.
Excellent answers 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

We need more stories like this. That's how I was raised. NIIICE!
He has not aged a bit!!! I would love to see more of him especially in a detective role on a tv show. Go away from comedy for bit. I absolutely adore this mans talent and level headedness. I know his siblings going to chew him out in regards to his momma favorite lol!

Brian Hooks movies are great 👍🏽
He should be considered for a Pusha T biopic or movie character. He would kill that role. He already has the characterization.
He was naturally funny
Brian Hooks is one individual dat goes down in the Hall of Fame of comedy book & I don’t care what nobody say deez dudes was authentic!!

Bruh was really focused just on the craft not the party.
He’s not a good actor but he’s funny in movies
Dad's wanna be and will be dad's. But it's Father's who don't want to be dad's.
This is backwards af

Yea definitely backwards
Soul Plane is a movie that you do stop and watch like Good fellas or the God Father. It doesn't matter what part it is when you changing the channel. I bet his house is paid and his cars.
They want to be able control you.
They get the most D List celebrities.
