It sounded too perfect, which created a way too sterile atmosphere....I walked out. Couldn't deal with such lack of emotion....might as well play the record at home

There is no doubt that Ken is a strange and at times, arrogant dude, with his smiling, hair flipping, “open throat,” turtle-tongue technique. It is peculiar. That being said, it seems that some of you have really “piled” on with a guy who is just trying to make a living teaching vocal technique. Do you not have anything else to do besides try and wreck a guy’s means of living? You can hardly find an artist or band in this day, with all the technology available who doesn’t use tracks for some part of their live show. Gone to a live concert with a major artist lately? And who doesn’t edit the hell out of their own teaching and training videos on RUclips to look their best. No one wants to sell something other than their highlight reel. Are you not in your own way doing some harm to the world and maybe your own, with your virtue signaling, rid-the-world-of-evil, shaming of a guy who is guilty of playing a live show using tracks in his 60s? Do something else for the good of humanity. This is not it.

Yet anytime people buy his course and criticize it he has his lawyers threatened to a lawsuit 😂. what’s hilarious is that he claims in his video where he allegedly is responding to critics where he didn’t really respond to critics at all, he only addressed the fact that he was using a backing track which was not the claim that people are attacking him for. People weren’t attacking the fact that he was using a backing track it’s a fact that he was claiming it was all live when it clearly wasn’t, he isn’t just using the backing track he was mining 30 year old backing recording, and the fact that he’s lying about it, and he didn’t even address the fact that he was lip-synching back in 1989 as well and that he did a live stream where he was supposedly singing live where all he did was mine the same 30 year old recording, and after wings of Pegasus did his response he deleted the lifestream and didn’t even address it in his response video. And he tried to paint the people who are criticizing him as just doing it for attention and views, and I mean he literally said in the beginning oh it must’ve been so good people are accusing me of lip-synching no it’s because it’s obvious to anybody who’s not retarded that you were clearly lip-synching. And he didn’t even address Phill‘s video and he’s obviously seen it because he took down the lifestream literally right after he did his response.
Because that’s critical thinking deleting literally every negative comment even if the comment is perfectly respectful and giving constructive criticism, and gaslighting people and making fake accounts insulting people yeah that’s how you promote critical thinking😂. Great singers, like Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Frank Sinatra and David Coverdale, and unlike Ken Tamplin, are not as concerned with what is technically perfect, as what is emotionally appropriate for the song or phrase. This is part of what makes them great.
Very few top-tier musicians will talk about themselves. If you're _really_ good, you don't need to constantly tell people that you're really good. Your body of work does that. Tamplin constantly talks about himself, which is probably why so many people are piling on right now. We don't like narcissists, and we really don't like hypocrites and liars.

Unfortunately I think people tend to look past it, being so desperate to have help in an area they're struggling in. It tends to give them rose colored glasses and they focus only on the positives, like he seems to be able to hit higher notes and can belt and get his voice up there, whether he's actually on key and his voice isn't cracking is another matter entirely and they can forgive that if they can just learn how to hit higher notes using any of his methods.
He actually pretends to honour these vocalist, but in reality he is demeaning them, whilst giving people the impression he’s actually better……..
