I know that this is only a movie. But this move hits me so deep .I had to pause the movie for a while because the tears were just coming so fast. My aunt died because of domestic violence. This move brings back so many painful memories. I pray that anyone who's going through domestic violence gets out and get help before it's too late. Thanks to everyone who make it possible putting this movie together. All of the actors did an amazing job.
I hAve been there. And I use to hide it from every one. Thank god I am fine now.

I hope the message gets delivered to every abusive woman that is in an abusive and toxic relationship/marriage especially when there are children involved; because at the end when you are dead the man will continue living his life like nothing ever happened and the children would be left without a mother. Watching this movie, I thought the red flags were everywhere.
Initially the two were friends, then they stopped talking, they lost each other, everything became a contest...As a marriage counselor, Lola would know that communication is key. Addressing hot issues in a safe environment. Listening to each other...even the violent husband. Being willing to take action to stop the violence escalating, if necessary moving away for a time.
I feel that it is important for both parties to take responsibility for their choices and realize the importance of those choices and the consequences. Somebody said...we must learn to face our life with the strength of a woman and not the grief of a child. Very difficult lessons here for us.
