    • @markbendall2460

      That was 50 years ago. You don’t think training techniques, fitness and strength plans, even the way pools are designed, the design of swimming costumes etc have changed at all in 50 years? Humans are on average taller and stronger than they were 50 years ago, amongst other things due to improved diets.

    • @magicmulder

      @@markbendall2460 Swimming costume shenanigans are illegal now.
      And in what other sport have women reached men´s levels from 1972? Runners are still seconds slower. High jumpers are still half a meter away. Etc. Only in swimming did women cleanly improve so much? I doubt it.

    • @markbendall2460
      @markbendall2460 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@magicmulder You obviously know very little about swimming if you think the swimsuits in the 1970s were anything like the suits today. Today they are lighter and have much improved flow through the water. Even after the super suits were banned in 2009, swimsuit technology is so far improved on what it was in the 1970s. And as for your ignorant generalisation that just because the women’s 200 free WR is almost equal to what the men’s was in 1972, here’s a fact for you. The women’s 200 free WR is 10.7 seconds faster than it was in 1972. The men’s 200 free WR is 10.8 seconds faster than it was in 1972. It doesn’t support your ignorant and evidence free allegation that the women have improved much more than the men, does it?

    • @markbendall2460
      @markbendall2460 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@magicmulder So now you change your argument. First it was that female swimmers must have doped simply because times have improved over 50 years. When the stupidity and incorrectness of your argument is pointed out, you pivot to “they are all dopers”. If you have any evidence of doping amongst current swimmers, feel free to point to it. Btw just because swimmers are faster now than they were 50 years ago, it doesn’t mean they are doping. Some swimmers may be doping now, but just because someone swims fast or runs fast or jumps long, that is not evidence of doping.But basic concepts of evidence and logic seem beyond you.
