I have some Expride spinning rods that I really like. Then I tried the Adrena's and I really really liked them. I think spending that extra cash is worth it. Now that the Ultima is out I will have to say I won't be buying any of them. There can't be that much of a difference to justify double the cost of the regular Adrena's. Love my Adrena's.....
I have been using mainly lamiglas / g loomis rods since before the 80s . First one I got , i won my first bass competition . Back then , they was around $250 for the nice rods . I have mainly stuck with lamiglas / g loomis most my life . Later they split and both still had the shops in the same town . i have new g loomis rods , But have not really used them yet because I have lots of rods . Actually , my first lamiglas / g loomis rod that I won in the bass competition when I was around 10 just broke about 5 years ago . So , it lasted 45 years .
I've seen that Poison Ultima in person and it is super sweet.. Def on the want list.. My first video I have seen from you guys and I'll have to stop in your shop since I live in Frisco, Tx
I owned the poison ultima baitcast model like 5yrs ago they're pretty nice, but i wouldn't pay $850+ at all, because i didn't paid that much for mine neither and it's stupid over price they're (Shimano USA) is asking for it
Only reason you need to spend this much money is whenever you'r trying to catch sharks or trying to pull something from the bottom of the ocean. Otherwise just spend $100 on a combo at most. If you have a fish on the line u will feel it. Thank you.😮😮
@user-mr1vn4on2n Ah but will your hand gets annoyingly tired casting all day for a fish? Will you feel very subtle bites with a 50 dollar rod? Will you be able to cast as far and as effortlessly?
The weight is one of the major selling points. I would also say that sensitivity is one of the biggest assets. The components of the rods are also top of the line when it comes to durability.
The main reason we get them in the store to to let people experience the difference between price tiers. When you hand someone a $100 or and a $250 rod their faces light up and are like OMG!! @@SmashingSmallies

PunchFishing weighed both NRX and Ultima rod and NRX beats it by weight. I’m guessing Ultima is more balanced making it seem lighter than NRX.
The Ultima feels more balanced and more sensitive with the correct reel.
Is the ultimate a 1pc rod?
Yes it is
@@LakeProTackle thanks. I just helped take that off your shelf.
Thank you! I saw that order come through!@@EK99_00
They really look awesome. Unfortunately I won’t be pulling the trigger unless they fix that warranty
We agree about the manufacturer warranty for sure.
My boat isn't fancy enough to have either of those on the deck lol
Mine isn't either hahaha
what you on a boat? I owned the poison ultima and i'm on shore fishing only lol
Not going to lie, kinda want an Ultima 😅
We got ya!

I like cork
I like cork also. However the extra sensitivity you get from the carbon is amazing!!
Just remember, when you feel a fish. It's already felt you
It can feel the air went I set the hook on it
it so sensitive that i can feel ghost lol

You don’t no what your talking abt if your bass fishermen you no yes any rod will get done but like I said if you no you no!
Still prefer the gloomis shimano conquest rods over these two options
Sic guides on the ultima. It s a shame for 900 dollar
Yup, that's is way crazy over price lol, the conquest guide train is a better quality and it's $300 less cheaper too
yep , haha
Curious to hear from anyone what an $800 rod does for you that a $100 rod won’t?
800.00 rod - lighter which means more sensitive to feel the most lightest bite and can cast all day without your arm falling off.
@@thomasebsen8821and still heavy compared with what is available from china for some pocket change by comparison!

@@LakeProTackle sounds enticing. May need to get my hands on one to become a believer.

Fancy gear catches fishermen. Fish seem to like cheaper gear.
You need to try "fancy" gear at least once. You will soon know why people spend so much on their gear.
@@LakeProTackle Don't tell my wife but I have a quite a stash of fancy angling gear.
HAHAHAHA@@Srulio
Ofcourse, you should know that by now, you have a wife too, women like nice rod too just so know🤣
