Yeah I really hope they added some customization to the store front especially the phone variation because it looks very low quality and also show just one product at a time would be great if it was two at least make higher quality
As a beginner, being able to launch with no money is a big incentive. Being unable to choose mock-ups for one of their best selling unisex tees hit me hard though! A lot of my designs aren't unisex, so I contacted Printify. They appreciated the feedback so much that they added more. Now there are 29 mock-ups, and I still can't choose LOL! Thankfully, not every product has that issue.
Wow So basically they care about their people. It seems like they really care about feedbacks. That's so nice ❤ I didn't know Printify offered a free option to start with. Cause I thought it was crucial to connect printify to shoppify or etsy. So that was really discouraging to me. But now I know they have this new option to help people create their merch without having to connect to any other platform. That's so nice ❤ I still don't know If I'm going to partner with them, but I like how printify cares for the creators.
Thanks SO much for having this video. One big barrier had been "well I can only sell this many shirts because I only have this amount of money." And I was going through the Printify site looking for some other options. Despite all that reading, I didn't even SEE the part about fulfilling orders without funds, I just wanted to see a "real person's" experience, so came to watch this video. And what a great surprise! Honestly, this is a huge load off my back with my planning, thanks again. I'm about to watch your more current video fro this week to see how thing are going. But I'm wishing you luck.
I've been looking into Printify pop-up for my band, and I actually think the cons don't affect us as much as it would an Etsy vendor or artist. Still incredibly helpful, and I'm looking forward to setting up some merch for the first time, yay!
Thanks for your video. I have been on Etsy for over a year, and it's doing well, but those fees... OOF! I resisted the Printify Pop-Up store idea, but this week decided to give it a shot. Really nothing to lose other than time put into setting it up. I like how you can transfer all all of your listings you made for Etsy to your pop up, and/or weed out what you want to add as well as creating new listings. I also like that you can price your items at a lower price, as Printify does add shipping, you don't have to figure out how to price so that you include enough to cover shipping costs - just the margin you want to attain. I also like that you can buy a domain name and have that unique domain redirect to your Printify pop-up store. You do this on the dashboard of where you purchase your domain (usually a setting called redirect). I know this is still in beta (testing) to see what works and what doesn't. I would love to see them enable a way for sellers to rearrange listings and categories. I notice some of my listings are in multiple categories. It would be nice to be able to add an About section too, but that may come later. And or a search bar. And since we can't add keywords or tags, I am thinking that for the search engines (Google) may not pick up the shop or the listings unless sellers are very careful about what keywords they use in their titles with the firest 3-4 words being the most important for the search engine. Something US sellers should do is make sure they fill out the W-9 form in their shop's settings othewise they hold back 24% tax withholding on your sales.
My thoughts exactly!! Really hope we see some changes with the user experience on Printify!! I wasn’t totally sure what the 24% withholding tax was, so I haven’t filled out the W-9 form. Do you know anything about this that you’d be able to further explain?
@@RavenReneee if you are in the US it's best to fill out the W-9. At tax time they will send you a miscellaneous income form and you pay the taxes on your earnings. If you don't submit one, then they might just take out the 24% and if you live in a state where you pay income tax, but not sales tax, you may end up making less on your sales. It's worth messaging Printify, but I think that's how it works. I've been a freelance writer for years, and selling books on Barnes and Noble for example, they have you fill out a W-9 so I just see it as kind of a standard thing. I like how the Pop-Up will deal with international customers and the associated taxes for sellers instead of the situation on Etsy. I only sell in the US on Etsy because of the complications come tax time.
@@LetsSmileToMakeOurDay it can if you want to do it that way. I do find that the products I wanted to transfer to the Pop-Up (already selling on Etsy) I did rewrite the descriptions for the Pop-Up as my Etsy descriptions include Etsy-specific information. I also didn't want to add products to my Pop-Up that I have not had success selling on Etsy. I may change my mind as you can always remove them, but as I add to my Pop-up I do a little Google search research to see what the competition is for certain keywords as the Pop-Up (ideally) will be eventually picked up by Google search with these products.
I am new to Printify too. I ordered samples and paid for a premium account to help make my order run smoothly. I was charged a shipping cost per item even though my mugs came 3 to four to a box. The cost was almost my cost for the mug. I was charged a tax even though I have resale license on file. My order is coming in parts and after 10 days I still do not have the whole order. The popup stores were a good idea. I have two. Unfortunately they do not work well on my phone or laptop because of system caching. I cannot see my main popup to track my order without taking extra steps to empty the computer cache each time I want to view the popup store. I'm not sure printify is for me. I'm rethinking and watching lots of videos on issues with printify.
I want update my response. Printify reached out to me to solve some my issues. Their response to creators is excellent. I'm only in the first part of my journey and I'm still working on setting up my stores and connecting to other selling shops like Shopify, etsy, Amazon Merch all which requires paying up front. I'd like to start with only printify and my own personal website and making only to my followers until I know my designs will sell. I need to know POD is viable for me. Thanks for your videos and training.
I think im going this route.. with the pop up shop.. who knows they may cut out the middle man and start their own marketing tool to help owners of the printify shop.. maybe some changes at least you don’t have the inventory on hand they’ll do it for you😉

Hi, Raven! Thanks for this video. 😺 If you don't mind answering this question: Did you opt to have the taxes taken out right away or did you file for the exemption?
I opted to have them take the taxes out right away! Partly because I didn’t want to worry about them later on and partly because I wasn’t completely sure of what this all meant at the time. I’m still learning about small businesses/taxes/1099s!:)
