Rick was totally loving the film until he knew about Chamkila's first wife. As soon as that revelation happened, Rick completely zoned out as expected :D . By the time the film will finish, Rick's opinion will be "I liked some parts of the film but there are some things that bothered me a little bit." I know exactly which parts bothered you, Sir :D

@@shudhanshurai5538 yes of course. .it was a bit okay after movie ended, but normally would never accept. Other thing still bothering me is the 15 day old not surviving without them.
@@shrita2484 He has been shown as flesh-and-blood human being with all his faults. That lends credibility to the film - they haven't tried to show him only in good light.

Loving this reaction! Just to correct you besties on one thing: the massacre you guys are talking about was Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in 1919. The one shown in the film is the massacre and general situation of Punjab during 1984, and the 1980s in general. This was during the height of militancy in Punjab.
Also the songs in between (not actually sung and performed by Chamkila and Amarjot) are not their original songs but songs ABOUT them made for the film.

When you say Amritsar massacre please actually say what massacre because the one your talking about is the one orchestrated by general o’Dwyer but there was the operation blue star during chamkila s career that was also a massacre on citizens done by an army

Around 6 minutes, the film completely bypasses nearly two decades of khalistani terrorism that targetted moderate Sikhs, all Hindus, and lower caste Sikhs. Check X handle of Puneet Sahani for some insights. Khalistani terrorism movement is made up of Jatt Sikhs who think they are upper caste. They controlled every aspect of music and films in Punjab, even today. And they could not tolerate a lower caste Sikh not listening to them. Thats main reason of the assassination. Also in 1984 terrorist leader bhindrawle was excreting in sanctum sanctorum of golden temple and R and butchering people. Indian army had to clean up the sh** show. Later, KPS Gill, another Sikh, cleaned up Khalistani terrorism and many of them mived to Canada, US, UK, Australia etc who still target India and Hindus. Feel free to learn abour it outside of the film.
