Right now I'm playing the Walking Dead game.
Can you do a Top 20 Satisfying Deaths From the Walking Dead? (Not Including Fear or World Beyond)
Introducing Daryl. That changed - for the (much, much) better - the whole “game”. I don’t know how WM could put Carl’s end in top spot, the changes it causes aren’t even remotely comparable to what Daryl’s character has created.
Adding Daryl as a character
@@maysonstorm4956 probably the best decision ever
Difference #1: Daryl never existed in the comics. But we can never imagine the TV show without him, nor do we want to think such thoughts.
He carries the whole show basically
Fact!
Daryl existing is definitely something that kept people watching. I mean, who remembers the “Daryl Dies, We Riot” jokes?
@@TheOneWhoReportsForDuty That feels like a lifetime ago.
@@benwasserman8223 12 years will certainly do that.
Fun Fact. Norman auditioned for the role of Merle (who wasn’t in the comic either) which he didn’t get, but they liked him so much that they added another character (Daryl) into the show. Neither brother was in the comic, they were both written into the show!
I thought Merle was in the comics? I never read them but that's what I've heard.
@@thecowboy9698The Dixons don’t exist in the comics
@@thecowboy9698 nope, dwight is basically the comic daryl but both Dixons don't exist in comics, although they would of been cool characters to include
Not having Rick and Carl be apart of the last few seasons hurt the show big time. It just wasn't the same.
Took a minute to come around for me but I think the last 2 seasons were alright
I agree, especially without Rick
Last few seasons were pretty solid because of Angela Kang taking over. But would have been so much better with rick and carl
I never liked Rick but I sure was bummed when they killed Carl off
@@Maddie1402_ tell me about it. The writers from AMC didn’t even want to wait to the end of the war with The Saviors and Negan or even to the beginning of the season 9 before kill him off. And even worse, not even Henry or height years old Judith could completely fulled the void left by Carl’s death.
i think carols character is probably the biggest change from the comics and obviously carl
i really was shook after finishing TWD and then reading Carol's comic summary last night for the first time... i am really so glad the TV show changed her character the way they did cause.. wow lol
I always wonder if they ever came close to killing off Carol on tv during the prison arc. Lucky they didn’t since she became like the most elite survivor ever
@@v1v1d1ty yes they did. She was supposed to get t-dogs dead in season 3
Shane was the best change tho. Js. I personally didn't care for badass Carol. Would've preferred her being killed off vs Andrea
Also Andrea's change is huge.
Andrea was one of my favourites in the comic. They took everything andrea was, sharpshooter, rick's gf, overall badass. In the show, she's a lacky to the governor, and her redemption arc falls far short from returning to her comic source.
I think Andrea's time was cut short on the show because Andrea shot Daryl after mistaking him for a walker. Fans hated Andrea for that, and I think the producers and writers decided from that point on to write Andrea into a hole so that when she was killed, most fans wouldn't care that one of the most iconic characters in the comics died so prematurely on the show. Actress Laurie Holden thought that Andrea's role on the show was wasted.
Andrea was my least favorite character in the first few seasons. Couldn't stand her lol.
@@TheBob1901 I don't think people cared about her shooting Daryl on accident that much. Lol. Kinda already forgotten by the time she actually dies in the show.
Michonne in the comic had more chemistry with Rick than Andrea did. If anything the writers of the show did a good job putting Rick and Michonne together. Plus do we really want Andrea with Rick after she slept with Shane? Our boy Rick deserves better than that
@Rick Grimes no they didn't.
The worst part about Carl's death was that Siddiq just died in the later seasons which meant his sacrifice was for nothing.
He gave Rosita a daughter
Oh yeah that’s another dumb change from the comic. Since Dante in the comic was like a brave comic relief/love interest for Maggie and show Dante was a fake doctor whisperer
Siddiq served Alexandria for 6 to 8 years as a doctor though + he made Coco lmao. And Carl's death changed Rick to choose mercy over wrath (Debatable). Although I really did not like how they killed off Carl T_T
Carl's death and sacrifice was more than saving Sidiq. It was convincing his father of the possibility of a better future if they worked for it. It came to fruition. His legacy is still intact.
@@blakedevitt6948 rick was smart enough to realize that on his own in the comic without sacrificing his son. also, his son death should of made he kill negan as he son dead who gonna stop him?. so stupid.
Killing Carl is still the most stupid aversion from the comics.
Yeah that's why they took Rick off so soon till the very end
TV Carl was only a shadow of his comic counterpart. Never missed him personally
@@drewmantia They could've done so much more with him... I'm so pissed cause I love comics Carl.
@BigPudge93 It wasn't that, it was Scott Gimple who chose to kill off Carl because of money since the actor was about to become an adult which would have a change in payment. Chandler Riggs never asked to be taken off the show and even bought a house himself in Georgia to continue playing Carl
The show died with Carl
The entire TWD graphic novel series ended few years ago. Co-creator and writer Robert Kirkman did a great job.
The ending sucked ass. It was Nonsence.
The comics had a great ending, the show...not so much
Eh he did a great job up till the commonwealth arc. You could tell he was tired of writing the comic because that whole arc was awful and boring. Not to mention he skipped ahead so many years in the final issue instead of telling the interesting stories that would’ve came from rick dying
The commonwealth arc is much better in the tv show than in the comics lol
@@jmax0431 you go ahead and think that, the show is so dragged out and all the characters switcharoo suck but that just me.
I wanna give props to young Judith. I believe she is the most talented actor on the show. Her timing, and delivery as well as subtle facial expressions makes her so impressive at a young age. The sky is the limit for this little girl.
She's basically a scraping character and literally stole carl spotlight because woke writings lmao, the comics ending is just too good
@@joserijalkasyasyaf9723 Chandler Riggs wasn't nearly as talented as Cailey Fleming is at this age. I have no idea how she is "woke" or how the writers are "woke". And she was literally "created" in the 1st season. I need a better explanation.
@@steves6756 because they “need to show women can do things too” and swapping carl and Judith was the cheapest option considering chandler contract was almost over and if they wanted to keep him they would have had to pay him as a adult actor but instead they fire him
@@iCE-yr3wy Yeah because they didn't have any strong female characters prior to Judith. Carol, Maggie, Michonne, Rosita, Andrea, Sasha, Tara. Good point. D'oh!
Too bad her childhood is gonna be fucking ruined if it's her parents forcing her to do this.
Daryl Dixon is by far the best change made from the comics to show. His presence really just added a whole new dimension to the survivors group that wasn’t really there in the comics.
Worst change
Daryl was not in the comics
@@ghost11034 did you read my comment?
@@ghost11034 🤡
Honestly I think he's the worst change, that one grunting character took so much from other characters. Took a lot of Tyreeses role, took a lot of Abrahams role, so many characters had their development ended by him.
Jesus dying was the worst change for me because he and Aarons relationship was so pure in the comic and it seemed as though they were in the early stages of getting them together and then he gets killed horribly in front of a devastated Aaron. Carl dying was close behind that though
Didn’t the actor who played Jesus ask to leave the show cause he thought his character was stale and going nowhere?
@@scottgordin9709 he was disappointed about how he was used in season 7 and 8. Season 9 and 10 would have been his best
My God, how much did I miss after I dropped the show when Negan's introduction began???? I heard that Rick is gone, but Carl and Jesus? Why???
Man jesus in comic is so fucking baddas and better writing
In show he need to share with other char like daryl
Fun Fact: The line jenner said to rick in season 2 (11:45) "The day will come when you won't be" is the title of the episode where glenn and abe died.
Thats actually such a cool easter egg wth
That was in season one not season two.
We need a proper animated adaption of the comic
Kinda somethng like Invincible where it's as close to the comics as possible. Would be great
What kind of animation style would fit best in your opinion?
What about Clementine’s story started by Teltalle games ?
@@rafaelarcas942 💯
@@unclekano8486 why did you write the number hundred in red ?
I lost most interest in the show when they killed off Carl. To me, watching him grow and adapt was the most interesting part of the show. He had the greatest character arch, and I honestly didn't care for him until Season 3 episode 1. That episode alone made me change my mind from "Carl get in the house" to "Carl, you got point, lead the team." Carl was total bad-ass, and at times had better strategic thinking than his father Rick. Once Rick was removed, there was little left to keep me interested. That said, the only saving grace was the young actress portraying Judith. She truly is "little ass-kicker."
after my favourite character (glenn) died, i wasn’t sure if i wanted to continue the show, but carl was the reason i stuck around. stopped watching after he died and have recently got back in to it and am trying to make it through the final seasons with no carl, and no rick
Carl was the kid living in the apocalypse. He went form annoying to inspiring. So dumb for him to die and in such a dumb way. They should have kept his story from the comics and not diverted.
Sorry not sorry, but even in the comics Carl was never my favorite. He was always whinny
@@JBee887well, some kids are like that. But surprisingly, in the spin-off to the COMICS made Telltale Games , Clementine seems to became very mature despite her young age after growing in that violent world. And while Carl’s sister tragically die in the comics universe during the last attack from the Governor , Clementine’s adopted son Alvin Junior survived just as Maggie’s son. There’s is some miracles but not the one that we except.
Here's another difference. In the comics, Kelly is a big brute of a man who is not deaf, and Connie bears a similar resemblance to Kelly's TV Character. She is not deaf and is just quiet, offering not much to say.
Plus, Manga’s group is *far* less prominent in the comics, and they don’t really get involved in anything until the Commonwealth arc despite being introduced before The Whisperers.
Kelly isnt deaf Connie is. She just knows sign and translates
@@Logan912 it is just that before they were only secondary characters however when Andrea was about die after being bitten in the COMICS, members from Magna’s group are also hurt inside as the others and had thank her to give them a home.
@@BlackLightning47Kelly partial death
The show RUINED Andrea to the point that they HAD to kill her off.
Agreed. Andrea was always in my top three favorites
The comics storyline and ending is way better than the tv series. But, Daryl is definitely one of the best characters created on the series.
Best changes
Daryl, Carol, Morgan, Terminus , CDC, Shane living longer
Worst changes
Killing Carl, Andrea, dale
Rick leaving
Dwight leaving
The entire saviors/all out war storyline was terrible
Skipping the prisoners storyline
Weird Negan and Maggie team up
the Negan and Maggie teamup was interesting fym
Disagree on Maggie and Negan, also I disagree with Andrea because she is the worst and I didn't want her with Rick. But the writers couldn't do anything about Rick leaving but at least he's still alive because comic Rick died a bitch. Dwight had to be removed from the main show because of the law suit with a stunt man who died. What prisoner storyline? The one that killed Hershel's daughters couldn't happen because it's too much gore.
Andrea story is bad in show since she's not partnered with Dale make her going nowhere
Prisoner member in show doesn't have impact unlike comic
@@TheRealRickGrimes In the comcis, one of the prissonner named Axel became a important member of the group. And he seems nice compared to the othesr prissonners.
Some of these deaths happened unfortunately because the actors/actresses wanted to branch away and work on other projects
except Chandler Riggs. Probably a few others too, but for Riggs it was because the showrunner fired him and used his death to motivate Rick to do what he did with Alexandria.
Ya cause he turned 18.
Tyrese's death, beside Carl's, was super dumb.
Another huge change was the watered down tv version of the Michonne/governor fight. If you read the comics, you’d understand.
Lol that's a HUGE understatement. You're totally right I forgot bout that. Thanks lol
Cuz they couldn’t put that in the show
TV show is the PG version of the comics
Dwight is a huge difference. Like i don’t know wtf they’re doing with him on Fear but comic Dwight was an amazing character during the Whisper War and Commonwealth arc even though I really hated how he died in the comic
I was sad he died in the comic but it was symbolic in that they finally changed their ways. Rick killing him especially solidified that concept
He died the same way he killed Abraham not seeing it coming.
The biggest and most stupid difference is that they killed off Carl. The most idiotic writer decision in TV history that killed the show.
Killing Glenn killed the show and that was straight off the page
@@drewmantia killing glen was sad but expected, the views didn't drop by much
I basically stopped watching after that.
Rick Grimes was my fucking hero. I couldn't watch anymore when he left.
(spoiler)Well, then you'll love how he's alive and getting his own series with Michonne.....I hope you watched the last 8 min of the finale...
@@rainman42 haven't watched since he left. Plus how many years ago was that ? Where are those movies?
@@bobthedopeman7327 no movies
But instead of that spinoff is coming
And rick returned in the finale of TWD
Jesus was the most badass character in the comic. He was unmatched by anyone in terms of close combat skills. He also could find a way to survive what seemed a desperate situation many times. He was that good! He showcased something very similar in the show the first time we had seen him when he easily handled both Rick and Daryl. I think he was meant live in the show but the actor wanted to leave so they killed him off.
The actor wanted to leave because he was upset that the writers weren't doing anything with his character. Tom Payne even learned martial arts, because his character was very skilled in it. Tom asked that he be able to use his skills on the show but never got to, until his last episode. He even (in an interview after leaving the show) sarcastically joked how he trained, for 2 years, to deliver an awesome kick, turn, kick to take on 2 walkers in the graveyard. Tom never wanted to leave, he loved playing the character. He only made the decision to ask to be killed off because he was side lined, knowing that his character had a bigger part in the comics. Had they made Jesus what he was in the comics, Tom would've been on the show til the end.
You forgot to mention that Merl, Daryl's brother, also cut off his hand in season 1. Though it doesn't show his upgraded hand until season 3. The show is awesome.
Another difference that was missed was The Governor’s character arc, and that he sexually abuses Michonne in the comics. That shit scarred me reading TWD as a teenager, comic Governor was insane
Not gonna lie, Governor was a ruthless psycho towards everyone who is not from Woodbury. Makes you wonder how Ramirez, Steven and Elise were the only ones who were against him.
Lee's death is still the saddest
Are u talking abt Lee from the telltale series? Cause that a whole different arc and yeah his death was sad
Lee Everett wa a Leegendary.
@@bigmanolo26 the telltale games are in the COMICS universe. Chronologically, the first chapter from Clementine’s story arc started before that Rick Grimes woke up and get out from Atlanta.
Honestly, not a lot of deaths in the comics are really “sad” because the comics treat deaths more for shock whereas the show goes for more emotional trauma.
That said, I’d agree that Lee Everette’s death is probably the saddest in all of the TWD franchise even though he’s not my favorite character.
Idk about saddest but Noah's death felt the most brutal out of the whole series IMO.
Dwight’s and Sherry’s fate should’ve been on the list according to me. They played major roles both in comic and show and their story is not closed in the show yet, because they are still alive in fear. Also Negan’s journey was completely different after whisperers war. In comic he disappeared and in tv show he became one of the most important characters.
Rich exiled him in the comics
Still emotionally overwhelmed after the great finale. My second favorite ever show is officially over AND they stuck the landing. What a time to be alive!
I like that Rick kept his hand
Not anymore
Yeah until The Ones Who Live
When Norman Reedus auditioned for the show he was originally meant to play Daryl’s brother Merl instead. But the writers were so impressed with his acting that they created the character Daryl specifically for him. And in time he would become a character that would appear in the comics
He never appeared in the comics
i think Andrea was the worst change, she was my favorite character in the comic, and probably my least favorite in the show
Same 😭
I seriously don't understand the depth of Andrea's character in the comic, where she was just Rick's wife and was a badass. It's not enough for me to be a best character, imo. If Andrea in the show was a realistic and complex character, then in the comic... I was more upset about Andrea's death in the show than I was in the comic. I read the issue with her death without any emotion. 🤷♂️
@@5i.260 well first she lost her sister, and she basically adopted Sophia after Carol died, she adopted the two boys after their mom died, then she lost the two boys when one murdered the other and Carl killed the other one, then she lost Dale, then Sophia took off and moved to Hilltop, so with Rick and Carl she finally had a family up to the point where Carl actually started calling her “Mom”, she went through a hell of a lot to get there -
but in the show she had so much potential, and i don’t know what happened if it was Laurie Holden the actress herself, or the writers, or the producers, but it was just like POOF she’s gone
@@SeenGod Maggie adopted Sophia, not Andrea. And everyone went through hell, like Carl or Maggie. I'm just think that TV show did a good job on some characters developments, unlike comic. Carol, Gabriel, Eugene.
@@5i.260 Comic Eugene was a great character himself in the comics. Carol in the show is better than the comic counterpart only because she gets to live longer.
Andrea in the comics was a far better character than in the show. She was made insufferable in the show for whatever reason whereas in the comics she played a major role in Rick's life. The scene where Carl confesses that he killed Andrea's adopted kid, when she breaks down and cries and still tells Carl that she loves him is heartbreaking and better than anything that the show did with her character.
Just me or comic book Rick be looking like Aaron in the thumbnail
I thought they should've kept Eugene making bullets(he self educated, so he couldve been doing so much more at the factory or the Commonwealth)when they captured Negan, cuz they sent Daryl to the factory to do nothing?! Or Negan should've moved his people into Hilltop to work the land & Negan could've just controlled the armory & made the rules--he didn't have much for a long-term plan.
Here's some differences that weren't mentioned:
The reason why Rick spared Negan.
The introduction of Oceanside.
How much of the Kingdom was explored.
Who were Prison Newcomers.
Tyreese and his group + their introduction.
The Greene family members.
Western Alliance mentioned in the final comic issue.
Michonne's relationships.
Eugene's actions before and during the Savior War/All Out War.
Watched the series finale last week. Even though I'm glad it's over, it has a very satisfying ending while tying up loose ends.
Question: Does Magna (badass knife chick) not do anything in the comics like in the TV show?
Noinm md fr eql
Pretty much, she just helps fight the Whispers and openly hated the commonwealth. She became friends with Andrea and saw right through Negans BS when he was still locked in a cell. That’s all I really remember her doing in the comic
@@PricefieldPunk Shame, it seemed like such a big deal when she was casted and introduced in the show. Made her seem like she would be crucial to the plot. Instead, they do nothing with her and all her scenes were just a waste of screen time. Hell, I couldn't even remember her name (I just called her badass knife chick) until the final epsiode.
@@ryantaylor8398 same, when she was introduced in the comic she seemed like she was gonna be a big character and then it's like Kirkman changed his mind and put her and her group more in the side.
@@PricefieldPunk I will say, at least her group actually contributed to the plot or at least a side story. Connie was a fan favorite and had some great moments. Kelly, while not doing much, at least had a subplot with her finding Connie (guess she got over going deaf). Yumiko was important for Commonwealth story. Luke....well he was comic relief and then disappeared until the last episode just to die probably due to the actor being in those Harry Potter movies (do we even know what happened to Oceanside?). All in all, badass knife chick could have probably just not been included and it would have saved screen time for other underdeveloped characters.
The head on the spikes from the whisperers spells out "THE ART OF WAR" with the first letter of the victims names.
The TV show Pike reveal was definitely more shocking and disturbing than the comic. I think because it showed the younger hope of the community and the new alliance of the primary group was dispatched. Yet it was also revealed that the victims didn't go easy to the whisperers.
No it wasn’t cause everybody that supposed to died lived
@@marthouismcmiller4787 except Tammy.
Nah, in my opinion it was better in comics. While in the show it had generic evil violin music, in the comic you were free to see the scene as you want it (my interpretation didn't have music, was way slower and had creepy horror ambient, which started to be louder and louder with each second).
One interesting aspect of the show is unlike some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies where some characters or even stories arc are completely re-invented, the writers of the adaptation of “The Walking Dead” comics try as much to reproduce in a identical way even with some modifications scenes and story arcs from the Robert Kirkman’s comics. Unfortunately, as the new character or even new version of characters from the comics such as Judith and Gabriel are beginning to take too much places in the story especially after Carl’s death, Andrea’s death and Rick’s disappearance from the show , we are beginning to think if the writers are still wanting to fully adapt the original material till the end if they want to completely reinventing it .
Wouldn’t it have been something if the show ended with Rick waking up in the hospital from his coma with Lori next to him and all of this was a dream. 😂
I haven't re-read the last few volumes of the comics in a while, but I didn't remember Hornsby being as evil as he was in the show.
Best change from comic to tv: Negan’s full arc and redemption. Love Negan!!
The history of Yasuke: The Black Samurai please!
I like to consider 609 the canon last episode. Alexandria saved, carls alive, walls are rebuilt, rick is motivated to do better
Just a few thoughts (warning, finale spoilers):
- How in the hell is Darryl not #1!?!? For a character that was never in the comics, he was arguably the most pivotal character in the entire show. Up until the very end when he gets on his bike and leaves for a new life, you can see how the show shifted from Rick as a take-charge kind of guy, to Darryl as the reluctant hero.
- I would put Carl at #2. Even though nobody wanted to see him leave, I have to admire Chandler Riggs for deciding that he had enough and leaving the show when it was (again arguably) at the height of its popularity.
- I preferred Michonne and Rick together instead of Andrea. Andrew and Danai had amazing chemistry and Andrea (no offence to anybody's acting, just the character) is beyond annoying. Rick needed a strong female lead and Michonne more than stepped up to fill that role.
- I'm not sure if I want to get involved in the new shows, but I sure am going to miss TWD. Thank you for over a decade of entertainment and killing walkers.
Chandler didn't leave the show himself, he got FIRED on his birthday while he was setting up near the filming location in Georgia in order to pursue college studies. His dad got angry at Scott Gimple for doing this when the news dropped.
Co-signed 🤙
Ima be honest… Daryl is likeable but he’s not an interesting character. He’s just a badass
You pretty much just answered your own question about Darryl dixson he was never in the comics.
I'm ok but with the last.
Andrea in the comic is a lot different than the TV one.
Sure in the comic she was weak at the begining but later she turned into a good marksman who was the Best partner for Rick.
The show did a lot of good: better arc pacing + new locations, Carol being a badass, not killing Ezekiel, Daryl simply existing.
But it also made some critical mistakes. The biggest being Rick and Carl not being around for the end. Carl was the future, we watched him grow up from an annoying kid to a strong and smart young man who should(and did in the comics at least) beat that world.
Pacing?
@@thomasjensen3403Early on, yes. After season 4, not so much.
Good thing both Ezekiel and Father Gabriel live action versions didn’t killed off based on the original graphic novel version.
They should’ve their deaths was huge
They made so many changes it's actually insane 😂
Aaron is literally comic rick at the end
I really hated how Jesus got killed off in the show. 🥺 His death broke me inside. 😭
At least he got a badass death
My favorite change was Sasha! She isn't in the source material but Sonequa MG DID SO GOOD for Michonne, they wrote her in for the show.
Unpopular opinion the comic are better
Carol was my favorite character after the prison arc. I was always wondering what crazy thing she was going to do next
Carol always had an amazing arc. After losing Sophia she put her big girl panties on in the comics and the show.
One of the reasons for the CDC is also because the screen writers didn’t know that they would get a season 2 so this could act as a series finale if it had too
Well, it was a smart move. In source material there barely happens something interesting until they find prison, so if they were going to be loyal to the original comic storyline, they needed to be really good to make the great story from the first 5 issues. At worst, season 1 would have been pretty boring, and the show will most likely be cancelled (not all series get lucky to be continued after season 1 that was only set up for a bigger story like Breaking Bad).
Carl’s death is when this show just nose dived down, because like y’all said, it changed the whole story from there. Every decision before or after was ok, but this one was the worst
Sebastian dying did not tell us the show was ending different we knew that for 4 years LOL
I didn't like how Daryl unintentionally got Glenn killed.
Yeah idk what he was thinking Negan had all his friends circled and got up to punch Negan for no reason like that was gonna change their fate.
Tbh I think it was decent writing. Everyone expected Glenn to die so when it was Abe then all the viewers lowered their guards so something had to happen for Negan to kill Glenn too
one of the reason I don't care for his character.
@@militiatwistable in the show negan picked abe, daryl punched him afterward resulting in glen's death so it 50%/50%.
@Black Sheep no, when did I say "yes, negan kill them all"?, I said negan shared the blame. call me bias but I hate that the show did the pick, kill a different character and had glen killed anyway (who was the actual pick in the comic) because an only show character punched negan when warned, what did he think would happen? he's a deus ex machina or stupid and take stuff away from comic characters. also, negan is bad no doubt but was more rational and provoked them less in the comic and at end end helped them then isolated himself, he wanted maggie to kill him. not that forced redemption that the show tried to pull maggie and negan my ass.
Anyone else think that they killed off surviving characters like Jesus and Carl purely for shock value?
The end was so good
Jesús TV death was a genuine shock when it happened
Difference #1 the comic knew where to finish and wasn't garbage.
the best change is adding daryl if you consider that a change
(Aaron lunges at Rick): "It Should have been you! IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU!!!"
Suggestion: Top 20 best characters in The Walking Dead.
I said it before and I'll say it again killing off Carl should've never happen and it was the dumbest decision they made... that was the beginning of the end
They had to do something because the actor went to college
@@anamariaapostol I think you need to start googling and looking this up before you start giving out false information because if you look this up you’ll get “Gimple said that the reason he killed off Carl was purely to do with the story. He felt that it needed to happen to raise the stakes for the characters, while also moving the story along in a crucial way. In fact, he said it was 'inevitable', despite the fact that Carl is such a big part later on in the comics.” And scroll a little down you’ll see Chandler also said it wasn’t because school
@@jeffanderson2329well, Gimple arguments doesn’t really seems logical not to mention how he « killed » that character in a stupid way AND in the middle of the war with the Saviors in season 8 which only add more and more drag to the story. Also, as much as I love the character of Judith Grimes sometimes it seems like she only is there to full the void left by her brother. New characters, such as Connie or the people of Oceanside should exist for themselves , NOT just to replace main characters who died or disappeared.
Gabriel on the show: badass? Intimidating? Did we watch the same show?!
I remember when I started rewatching the whole TWD a while ago, the pilot episode titled Daryl as a "guest start" and I was like "holy shit, TWD's one of top 3 iconic characters almost didn't exist in the series."
Morgan died when the walkers raided Alexandria.
He said that.
Beth is not in the Walking Dead comics.
Fun fact, not only was Daryl not in the comics, neither was his brother Merle or Beth Greene for that matter
Spring 2028 is when all of The Walking Dead deluxe editions will be released
First they killed Carl..... then they killed New Carl.
Adding salt to injury,Don’t forget siddiq got killed too making Carl sacrifice/ death pointless.
@@ringdiegamer they were trying to be GoT. Killing characters just for shock value.
You mean Henry which i didn't really care about so his death didn't bother me
@@dx5741yeah generic teenage character dies lmao. Who cares.
“I’m great full”
“The day will come when you won’t be”
If Rick and Michonne stayed in TWD last two seasons (specifically mostly Season 9 to 11), then Daryl would've taken Dwight's comic book death, but thankfully Leah had taken Dwight's comic death (well, sort of).
Didn't Dwight die due to wanting to takeover the Commonwealth (to be more accurate - Governor Milton post), while Rick just wanted to have a peaceful union with them instead of bloody war? Plus Michonne liked her life in the Commonwealth more because of her daughter, which later caused her to call Milton on their "secret" meeting.
I wouldve prefered Rick and Andrea, like it was in the comics. Ive never read them, but i like the pairing better.
Even though he wasn't in comics, t-dog character was based off of those the actor been around growing up and even his last line was based off of something a family member said to him
The most obvious difference is the comic is amazing and keeps you wanting more while the show is trash except for Darryl.
Daryle, Carol, Negan, Rick and Carl are the best characters of the show. 🫶🏼
Funny thing tyrees was Rick best friend.
I was glad when Dale left. He needed to realize thst Shane was right back then and Rick realized it later. If Dale had seen some of the things Rick later did, he would have stroked out.
Main Tyrese difference: AMAZING in the comics, BORING on tv
I loved Jesus and would’ve been so happy to see him live longer! Everything else I’m glad they changed lol
This is just a dumb theory, but what if the zombie apocalypse happened in the series is because Daryl exists. He never existed in the comics so what if it’s all because of his existence? Don’t get me wrong, one of the best characters ever to walk the screen, but what if his existence started all of it. Like I said, dumb theory but it popped in my head 😂
Thanks, now i imagine how he was just lying on grass during the night once, and wished that the world ended, so his and Merle's problems stopped haunting them. It's just a star who didn't understand in which way Daryl's wish must end the world, so it picked whole fucking zombie apocalypse.
Top 10 underrated (or long absent) video games that deserve a sequel
I feel like another walking dead game is in order

Amazing video watch mojo of the difference between the walking dead show and the graphics novel it based on, fantastic job.
The comic book is 1000 times better then the TV.
Shane would be a great if they keep him until the end.
For people who have watched and read the comics who in the comics most resemble Daryl from the show? I know he’s his own fleshed out character but just curious who has some similarities
In the comics there is a few similar characters: Tyreece (at the prison) , Abraham ( at alexandria, and i dont know maybe Jesus (for the whisperers arc) but the character who is most similar is definitely Dwight (crossbow, Rick’s right hand man). And if Rick was still in the show it would have worked well for Daryl to have Dwight’s death.
@@mattyalexander5728 Rick in no circumstances would have ever killed Daryl in the show, and Daryl in no world would have doubted Rick and his decisions.
So no, Daryl wouldn't have died the way Dwighty boy did.
Me :Mom can we have governor .
Mom:we have governor at home
Governor at home:lance
The biggest one for me is what Michone did to the Governor
Shane lives more in the tv show he was my first ever character that was my favorite when I first started this show
I’m glad Ezekiel lived. That was the worst mistake in the comics. He was a great character that was done dirty. I was glad to see Ezekiel lived and got to rule a kingdom again in the finale.
Abraham holding a peace sign to Sasha right before he gets bopped 😢
You forgot about Merle Dixon losing his hand
Well doesn't have his hand now lol
Best difference between comic and show rick keeping his hand in the show. I don't know what it is but it kind of bothered me about him losing his hand in the comics. I thought they would do this in the show but I don't think Andrew Lincoln wanted to wear a green glove.
