You hit all the highlights super well. You’re doing a great job! The 6th is just PACKED with stuff. If people want something quirky and interesting/sciency to do, the Musée de Minéralogie is technically in the 6th but right near the Panthéon in the 5th. It’s full of old cases of gorgeous gems and minerals and makes you feel you’ve taken a journey to the past. 👍🏼✌🏼
Actually my favourite arrondissement on the left as many great memories with John Baxter and Oliver walking through the gardens and lunches with John....sounds like a book!!! See you tomorrow xx Kerrin and Leia xxx
You're right about the 6th being a good place to stay. Our first trip to Paris (New Year's 2014) we stayed in the 9th, close to the 2nd. Meh. But this last time (November 2018) we were at the K+K Hotel Cayre in Saint Germain des Pres. Great location, great hotel! Thanks for this tour of the city. I miss Paris...
Great Video Jay, I like your fresh and cheerful point of view, and even if I know Paris for having lived there, your vlog reminds me that, despite what many French and sometimes foreigners say, it is still a beautiful city.
Thank you for all of your videos! I have been watching since January to prepare for our trip there on 5/8 for my 40th bday! I want an autograph if I see you rolling around the city LOL.
comme je me manque Gibert Joseph! Saw it in the background. I used to dream of being able to read classic French literature in French but I only got as far as Camus and Duras.
hey Jay--love this series--thank you. Wondering about the comments you make that "walking sucks." Do you ever miss the built-in exercise from walking? I clock 5-7 miles a day in Portugal--no car, walking everywhere. I'd hate to give it up, even though yeah, it can be a pain, but it's my only exercise :)
Typically put in 8 - 12 miles a day in Paris - can't imagine the inconvenience of the wheel... I see the city better while walking (getting lost would be the only advantage of having the wheel LOL)
I only recently went into st germain de pres cathedral and loved the ceiling too. Of course st Sulpice is famous for its role in the awfulness that is the Da Vinci code .
JAY you MUST visit Lili's Bakery and Coffee (40 Rue Des Petits Champs) in the 1st Arr. It has the MOST Delicious cookies and loafs around!!! We did not see it on your Mapster when we were there in March and feel it deserves to be!!
Odd request here. Could you do a video with one or more of your artistic friends where you go window shopping in the Sennelier art store that's on the other side of the Seine, opposite of the Louvre?
I enjoyed the 6th. My first visit there was on a Marriott Time Share & we stayed T I,, I’ll de France. It was a disappointment. Do you ever show that. I was always on the wrong train to Paris 😢
Just downloaded your book - loving it - we are coming to Paris on May 31, staying on the 2nd ARR. why don’t you include something about LGBT friendly and establishments????
Nice video's, Lots of info but for those of us that are french illiterate having the name of places written out helps us to look it up on maps.. Hard to look up if you have no idea how to spell it!
I mean, all I want in life is to idle my time away on a Parisian terrace in front of a cafe with a rosé, watching people. 😍🗼
Not a bad way to idle time away 😂
Staying on Rue Jacob. Cant wait.
I definitely want to plan to visit Paris in the months of April or May when everything is in bloom!!!!!!

There’s also a fairly reputable school called SciencesPo around Saint Germain. Loving the 20 in 20!
20 in 20 is great! Soft spot in my heart for the 6th. The first arrondisement I stayed in Paris.
It's a goodn!😊
Actually my favourite arrondissement on the left as many great memories with John Baxter and Oliver walking through the gardens and lunches with John....sounds like a book!!! See you tomorrow xx Kerrin and Leia xxx

I love it when you speak French. Merci!
=D
Yes, love hearing the beautiful French language. It’s an added bonus!
I'm really enjoying this series! There was so much we didnt get to see while we were there. This making me want to come back even more.
There's too much to see in a year 😂😂

👍👍
Jason R I stayed at the K+K in the 6th my first trip to Paris in 2013, loved it.
Les Deux Magots is where I go when I want to pretend I’m Hemingway for a brief moment. 😂
A worthy exercise 😁
Same! But Langston Hughes! 😀
Nice overview of the 6th arrondissement, thank you!
My pleasure!
Your videos makes me wanna go back to Paris.
It's well worth revisiting! 😁
Jay Swanson now that my daughter is born we will be back lol
6th is also pending for our next trip. That apple crumble with whipping cream really looked delicious.
So gooooood

Loving getting to know each arrondissement. Thanks, Jay!
My pleasure!
I'm glad you're doing these videos! definitely going to rewatch most of them before my next trip to Paris ;)
Sweet!
Thanks for stopping at Saint Pearl-good to know about and will add to my vegan Paris map.
Watching all of these as a part of my research. Such a great series!
Thank you for all of your videos! I have been watching since January to prepare for our trip there on 5/8 for my 40th bday! I want an autograph if I see you rolling around the city LOL.
Happy to share the city! And happy early birthday!

Loving the series will visit some of the cafes in the series my next time in Paris 👍
👍😁
Amazing. Love your blog. Always great.
Thanks!
I only recently went into st germain de pres cathedral and loved the ceiling too. Of course st Sulpice is famous for its role in the awfulness that is the Da Vinci code .
I've forgotten all things Da Vinvi Code 😂
JAY you MUST visit Lili's Bakery and Coffee (40 Rue Des Petits Champs) in the 1st Arr. It has the MOST Delicious cookies and loafs around!!! We did not see it on your Mapster when we were there in March and feel it deserves to be!!
Yeah!! Thanks for another vegan option to choose from while I am there 😁😁
😁😁
Great video! I love the 6th. Sorry we missed the meet-up. :) ~Pam
Me too! Next time 👍👍
Again my friend great video! I saw your picture on Instagram story probably 15 minutes after I left the Jardin du Luxembourg barely missed you 😂
I’m sure this question must have been asked before, but what makes a great cup of coffee to you? A certain roast, a bold flavor, highly caffeinated?
There's a great place near St Michelle, north african fast food. Looooove it! Can't remember the name though. Great vegetarian couscous!
Vegetarian couscous doesn't sound north American or fast 😂😂
@@JaySwanson that's why I wrote north African...
Odd request here. Could you do a video with one or more of your artistic friends where you go window shopping in the Sennelier art store that's on the other side of the Seine, opposite of the Louvre?
Well I’m in Mexico City. But I love all of the content!! How about canal st Martin?
Hi! What’s the name of the cafe where you had the kefir?
Hi Jay. I’m moving to Paris next month and I always hear you talk about “your wheel”. Where did you get yours? Thanks my friend.
Are bikes allowed in the park? I’m bike touring, so I’ll have my bike and bags with me during my visit.
Generally no - bikes aren't allowed in the smaller parks or any without paved roads - sometimes you can walk them through without problems but...
What is the name of the place you got the cold brew and the apple crumble? I would love to visit On my upcoming trip
I enjoyed the 6th. My first visit there was on a Marriott Time Share & we stayed T I,,
I’ll de France. It was a disappointment. Do you ever show that. I was always on the wrong train to Paris 😢
That is a cafe vita cold brew growler from Seattle, WA. images.app.goo.gl/RoT7FJLQFQAQCQh56
Crazy to see that in Paris. I live in Seattle...
Do you have a 7th arrondisement vlog?
I've got em all ruclips.net/p/PLgzu2kcdOi9faboWCA1JCrc6Q7-hfW5hk
Just downloaded your book - loving it - we are coming to Paris on May 31, staying on the 2nd ARR. why don’t you include something about LGBT friendly and establishments????
Vegan options! Yes.
👍👍
Probably should be stated that the ordinary tourist can’t take photos in Église de Saint Germain des Prés, or have things changed?
I didn't see any signs saying otherwise and plenty of cameras, but I may have missed something
Jay Swanson There were signs went I was last there in 2017, and they were also in Reno mode. Love your videos. New to the channel
can we get easter discount for you guide? :D
Łukasz Mantiuk The guide is really great. I just bought it and it’s a fun read and PACKED with great tips. A bargain already for sure.
Mmmmmm, apple crumble.
Soooo goooood

Music is very annoying.
Like your music but you have too much of you and not enough of the sixth
