Holy shiyy , 9 years ago
Here i am in 2020, try to practice my uke in this pandemic shiyy
So many people that say 'dam you make me wanna quit and throw away my instrument.' but i say instead... wow you make me wanna play even more with my ukulele. You inspire me. Everytime im not working on a song i sit and just do these techniques, and it have given me so good resaults in just 1 week. Thanks alot! More techniques!!!
How long do I have to practice to get skills like you? I've been playing uke for about 2 years and I'm trying to learn something harder, so your lessons are really great for me. Good job
Youve been lenient. Push

This is the best finger picking that I have ever seen so far! Thank you so much!
Sounds like “a whole new world” in Disney’s Aladdin. Magical. Awesome skills. Keeps me motivated to keep practising with uke! Thank you!
This is phenomenal, thank you so much! Although I feel sooo slow compared to you. However, I'm going to leap in and trust that over time, I will continue to pick up speed. I hope. Anyhow, really loved the tutorial, can't thank you enough!
Wow just come across this , took up playing my uke 2020, love the finger picking style. Iam retired so this is a great to be back with music again. Awesome session
Your uke sounds amazing!!
Thanks for these techniques.
I just ordered my ukulele and i'm already testing my fingers on my old air ukulele.
RcjThelol Did you ever learn this technique?
Did you ever learn the techniques in this video?
Update?
Very nice Cory! Thanks, this will keep me busy for a while!
Great lesson. I practice each of the pick patterns during commercials if I'm watching TV just to get my right hand working properly. It took about a week, 30+ minutes per day, just to learn them; picking slowly for the first couple of days before even trying to build up speed. Since I don't much care for TV, I sit on the patio and watch the squirrels while picking.
THis is a great video man thank you. There aren't enough of these medium-high techniques.. they others are either too easy or too hard.. this is money in the middle!! Keep them coming. Ive been playing for 10 months.. this helped expand my repitoire.. lol
Just got a banjolele and wanted to learn some new picking techniques. This is exactly what I was looking for!! Thank you so much :)
You are the super clear and easy to understand ukulele player!
Thanks for motivating me to learn more picking patterns!!
thank you for this amazing video! you play incredibly well
Great tutorial.
Speedy fingers.
VERY nice and helpful thank you
Perfect level of difficulty. Thanks a lot for your tutorials
Nice Cory thanks ! I hope you give more lessons in the future.
@chizniky I think we will explore that more soon with the tutorial on "lets dance".Stay tuned. Until then, just practice that 1st and middle finger plucking the A string twice for every one thumb stroke.
Finally I found this! THank you!
We love your teaching! Please come Singapore to open a school!
Just started learning to play the ukulele on March the 6th, Saturday when I broke my heart.
I'll try to get this down soon. I want to make the ukulele sound like my innermost cries.
Mahalo, hope you're doing well!
Third Second Fourth First Fourth Second...then back to Third.

Yeah, I'm a visual learner. (:

It’s really just picking the strings in their open note order. On a High G ukulele, the 4th string really fits between the 1st & 2nd
Thanks, Corey.
Wow, that's fabulous! Thank you.
great tutorial thanks man!
Your ukulele has such a great tone! What kind of strings do you use?
really separates the sound of the Uke from other instruments
Thank you for this!
i saw this video about a year ago and have been casualy practicing it since. i have no idea how he gets so fast
hows it goin now
My ears go “yeah”
My fingers go “no”
The speed is crazy
Thank you very much!
thank you so much!!
thanks to you man
THANK YOU! I normally don't use caps lock, but damn, this tutorial improved my playing a lot:))
love you!
so very nice :-) thank you
"Of course, you'll have to pratice that first" well put man
Wow!!!!! Awesome!!!!
I'm glad you rest your pinky on the uke for support too. I got told off for doing that by someone who teaches the uke (not me though).
what tuning is he in during the first pattern? I'm in GCEA and his E string (or what should be the E) sounds very different than mine when playing the staircase C maj. 7 chord. Does anybody know what tuning he is in?
Sounds like Stranger Things intro 😂 great 😁
Totally cool.
awesome video
i sound like a pro now
These are all in 6/8. Can you put that in the title description please, as Im looking for 4/4 finger picking patterns
thank you
Hi Corey, is that a TENOR Ukelele, and what BRAND / MANUFACTURER is it... Would love to take lessons from You. Thanks.
Ah yes, thank you. Your reply to someone 3 years ago was, " Practice 1st and middle finger the A string twice for every one thumb stroke" That's what I was looking for, to know.
@Goosy321 Yeah I think the strings may have slipped a little. I put those strings on that day.
I would luv to see this done on low G
is there any software for ukulele like 'guitarpro'?
@jlaci tenor
I would give the world to learn how to play my ukulele like I sit down and play the piano - or similar to how people would play a classical guitar. Soooo many youtube channels on here that are great for chording and singing along, but I'd sure love to learn a finger picking style to simply sit down and enjoy just playing pretty songs on my ukulele. Do you offer that? (I'm looking for actual videos that teach how to play popular songs with finger picking...)
I know this is a year old , but you should really search up finger style ukulele if you wanna play songs like that
Also, I see some advanced strumming patterns n RUclips that are absolutely amazing to play, I know not the same thing , but the advanced stuff really get you somewhere
Also just because it’s advanced doesn’t mean it’s hard. Some of them are way more beautiful than the so called ‘basic strums’
my jaw just dropped when you said we can do it faster
effortless
What songs can i play with this fingerpicking technique please
-ขอบคุงคับจะไปฝึกบ้างคับ
The bit from 1:37 made me think of Starlight Express!
what type of strings do you use?
Hi
Could you show the tab on screen, in the order you pick the strings please.
What uke is he using?
1:14 "speed and strength in your fingers". I looked at my palm
1:19 it went 0-100 within a second, beware its Need for Speed : uku version
@Goosy321 Thank you!
What kind of strings are on that uke
u make it seem easy any of u agree with me
How the quality so good its 10 years ago
I know right? they should put up a tab of gerudo valley
I was wondering if you could go more in depth with a flamenco lesson? Or maybe you already have it on the site somewhere?
Whoa

@Goosy321 GCEA
Where can we find a lesson for "on fire, pure heart"? That sounds like a great application to practice these exercises.
Nothing on my anatomy has ever moved that fast
POZDRAWIAM . POLAND . WARSAW .
R u using low G string?
It's high, use your ears man
Man!!! dat guitar suits u . lol
normal speed lol
How
Where are the tabs? Too fast!
It doesn't work with low G (((
Денис Загребельный of course it does
kkool
ok....I don't have a pinky...O.o
N
this looks hard to do. lol
@510musicmaker hard??? that's impossible!! hahahhahah
It's not the same pattern but...
honestly you're a great ukulele player, but a terrible teacher. you need to slow it wayyyy down and put up a tab so that us viewers can follow along without having to rewind the video constantly to see what the heck you're playing.
Wow, you are cute! Wish you were my personal uke teacher, I'd pay you in kisses ❤️💗
@HawaiiMusicSupply Yeh you might be a tad out of tune.. maybe. But aesome lessons
If you're teaching finger picking it would be more sensible to use easier chords.
'Advanced Fingerstyle'
No, do NOT rest your fifth finger (or ANY finger) on the body of the instrument. What kind of idiot, by the way, calls the index finger a "pointer" finger? That's sickening.
why not? are u better then him he is more qualified then u i bet
shut up herbert
Herbert Wells lol whoa.. take it easy Steve vai..
Silly boy. It's not the index finger. It's the booger hook.
Herbert Wells totally wrong Herbie old chap. Anchoring the finger ensures stability in volume and intonation and has little if no effect on overall sound projection.
