Love these outfits especially the witchy Renaissance one! I am from a small farming town too and I always got a lot of looks. I moved 40 minutes away and I still get looks 🤷🏽♀️ it’s fun to dress how I want and they can look at me if they want but it’s mostly positive. I’m very lucky!
I need a video with all the treasures that you found in the trash, or at least the ones you still have! And maybe style them together or something? I mean there is something about "rescue" clothes that speaks to my heart. They would literally be in landfill or would have decomposed a long time ago even though they were still wearable. The zero waster in me is getting too excited!
Omg I loooove that all black southern gothic outfit, it looked amazing. I love southern gothic fashion but I don't know how to do it without looking costumey. 🍂🍁
Huzzah! Someone who loves my fav color palette!! And also, thank you for giving names to the *aesthetic* I love. I’ve been calling it garden forest witch who is also a professor lolol 🍁
Great inspiration. You look stunning in the second dress. The argyle vest reminds me of Charlie Brown not sure if that’s good or bad but it’s kinda fun
🍁Great video! Nice to see a lot of outfits that are based on something other than jeans & a t-shirt (I don't wear either). I regularly wear the same few items, especially to work (office - no jeans or ts). I think you had some great combinations here to inspire me to take a fresh look at how I combine my pieces. Also, my wardrobe is almost all thrifted, second hand & vintage!
The dark red top and that whole outfit is particularly good. I also have a black dress with a small floral pattern from the 90s, which I bought when I was 14 or 15, which is similar to some of yours. I'm now 44 and I still wear it sometimes because I love it 🙂 I love the whole ethos of what you're doing. But then, I thought it was normal to enjoy reusing favourite items as the seasons change. Apparently not.
Love these for outfit inspo! I always end up wearing the same things every season so this really helped getting some styling ideas for my own clothes 😀
The looks with the loafers make it look almost like you're a financial auditor for Ernst & Young 😂 You kinda look good in it, but it has to be you. For aesthetics, the dark academia and the all black outfits win. You look great in them and they fit your personality. The long black velvet dress I would style contrasting with long black gloves, open toed heels and very tiny fishnets or ultra sheer stockings (well you could go without but I always feel weird about hands covered but feet truelly bare 😂) The Mary Jane shoes work best with tights or knee socks in the dark academia outfits. I general I liked the real grunge/blue jeans looks the least on you. I guess the music and lifestyle that came with it was intresting, but it's just a bit average joe when you see the looks :') Pure on looks, I think vintage old money aesthetics is the sweetspot for what will look best on you: navy and black pinstripe trousers, ducktooth skirts and jackets, shiny black brogues with lacey socks, wool dresses with long boots... You should give it a shot ;-)
To me, your style is definitely Whimsigoth Academia. It suits you very well, actually.

Try cropping the sweater vest and moving the band from the bottom to the length

I love the variety you showed! So cute. -from another rural community girlie 🩷
Im starting to realise that living where I live when most people online call something an autumn outfit it's a summer outfit for me lmao

Thank you!
Wow, soooo many great outfits! My favorites by far were the whimsigoth & cottagecore ones.
