Heat actually kept a coach around long enough to be great. They even kept Spoe after Lebron tried to get rid of him. Most teams dump their coach if they don't win it all right away.

I’m a Celtics fan and while I don’t like the heat, I’m definitely a Spo fan. What he can pull off is seriously impressive. Plus his story is incredible. I’m waiting for Hollywood to make a theatrical movie about it. Moneyball vibes but basketball.

Coach spo should win COTY every single season but of course the nba only considers the teams with the best records eligible for awards but once playoffs begin we see who are really the best teams / coaches

So many open 3 for Heat, Joe never adjusted, walked the ball, iso-ball. Totally predicable offense. Don't talk about game 3 adjustment, in-game adjustment is the coach's job. Heat is not making shots, they are making open shots

@@NEKingdom241because the Celtics were leaving them wide open on the 3-point line. At some point Mazulla had to adjust but he kept giving the Heat wide open 3s the whole game. They’re NBA players, even the worst team can make that many 3s if they’re being left that wide open. Just bad coaching.
@@aeiresslumpkin4866 Poor, poor perimeter defense. A lot of blame goes to Mazulla, but in reality these are pros and they know they need to defend, especially when the other team is raining 3's on them.
Man we got the best coach on the planet, if only we had a front office capable of getting him into a talent rich situation rather than always making him look impressive doing more with less everytime.
We would have had to give up Jaquez and Herro for a superstar though. I would rather have kept them.

Now i want everybody to really think about this, the job that spo has done. Not only with the big 3, but with what he has done since. Name another coach that has done what he has done, with the amount of talent that he has had on his roster. It's not even close, sop just might be one of the greatest of all time 🤷
No coach does more with less year after year after year. He gets every ounce of talent out of his players. Just amazing to keep seeing him preparing and empowering his players.
Life is much easier when you listened to someone who have your best interest at heart. This is why Eric is the best coach in this series.

It's also amazing how ESPN just never seems to learn.. how many years? this is literally the 4th year we are facing Boston in the past 5 years since having Bam/Jimmy.Herro. 3 of them were in the ECF. This is the 1st round; but did anyone expect anything different? At this point you have to prove to me its not going to be a 6 or 7 game tough fought series.. that could go EITHER way

I think this Celtics team is incredibly strong & the closest thing to a superteam like the KD warriors back in the day that we've seen.
But im always gonna root for a Jimmy Buttler Heat team.
Spo would take a rec league team deep into the NBA playoffs.
plus minus is always hard to interpret, but plus minus in this game for the Celtics is outright BIZARRE.
Among starters, Tatum was +6 and Holiday was +10…. But somehow Porzingis was -32!! And White and Brown were -23,-22. And their bench was all +8, +8, -5.
They absolutely wrecked Porzingis lineups.

Regardless if the Heat win or lose... It seems to me that Journalists prefer speaking/interviewing Spoelstra compared to other coaches etc.
The eastern conference sucked this year. A 3 seed in the east would be a 6th or 7th seed in the west. Boston has feasted on bottom feeder teams all year. What a shock that a crippled Heat team would embarrass them in Boston.
My problem is Orlando's standing they look a 10th seed team. Its the lack of experience

I’m a Heat fan but I find it crazy the hate Joe gets. He did a great job in Game 1. Coach Spo is one of the best coaches ever and made adjustments. Let Joe make his adjustments game 3. The Heat made the finals last year as a team not just Jimmy. And I don’t think people really respect the players we got.

I’m laughing at everyone thinking there team would be better with just Spo 🤣 😭 Spo is also playing into the Heat culture. Without that some players will not even follow/listen to Spo. Everything matters to your assistant coaches, medical staff, jersey makers, laundry workers. EVERYONE and anyone who works under the same payer will make an imprint on players which affects their mentality.
Does he not run the plays and make the adjustments that help the team be successful, especially in the past couple of years? Clearly, listening to him has benefitted the number of undrafted players and discraded role players that he's had on his roster.

Erik Spolestra with the current squad of Boston Celtics along with the squad of last 4/5 years would've won multiple NBA championships. As talented as Celtics are with Tatum and Brown, their winning record when it matters the most is quite shocking and very disappointing.

One is a good coach willing to make adjustments and take risk and when to call timeouts and the other coach just want to stick to one game plan and live off jump shots when Celtics bigger at every position
