This one was truly intriguing - all the lore, the insight into who we are and the power we hold... and perhaps another glimpse of the madness in the Dragon Queen as well. Assuming the ones she speaks of aren't just figures wrapped in myth as a disguise, rather than truly just stories themselves. That's the most interesting thing about the rarely seen: it's so often the ones that witness them that are called crazy, because nobody else has had the privilege - so they must be lying. Or perhaps it is because of that rarity, that power, that the sight of them drives witnesses mad. Regardless, it will be interesting to find out which. Fun fact: right before Xayd starts talking about the Shadow King, the script says: [(She) smiles. Lights on upstairs, but no one actually being home.] I tried my best to put that in my voice. But yes, I'm convinced it's exactly what you've said. Either meeting these figures helped drive her mad, or maybe the madness helped her to see what's really there. I haven't read all of ItsEsmeJones's writing, but I'm pretty sure these are characters from some of her other scripts. The story continues and it gets even more interesting. Listening to different role-playing audios on different channels, I pay attention to the names of script writers. It's a very chaotic way to get to know script writers, but reading their names gives me an extra layer of fun on this journey through different fantasy worlds. I remember this writer as creating very interesting scripts. About fantastic creatures and worlds. Here is not just a listener and a narrator, there is a whole world that would be interesting to explore. I like different sound effects and what you do with the image on the video. It's very interesting to listen to you play this character. And the story itself is also interesting to me. Thank you.
It makes me happy to hear that you pay attention to the writers, because I think they deserve so much credit for their work. My first audio was an ItsEsmeJones script. I haven't really been able to perform her work as much as I want to, because 1) so much of it is written for a male speaker, and it's not always easy to genderflip them even though she allows that, and 2) many of her scripts require multiple speakers, and I don't have the connections yet to be able to set up collabs that easily. But I would love to be able to do more of her work in the future, because I think she's genius. To be honest, I had even more ideas for experimenting with the art and video, but I found myself on the edge of pushing myself too hard, and I decided that this would be cool enough. I think that over time you will definitely meet people who want to work with you on a collab. Don't push yourself too hard. You are already doing a great job.

Which isn't really the case, because heck, usually I had already recorded and almost finished editing my version by the time the other person in question posted theirs. A remake implies that you've seen the "original" and deliberately used their material. This is more like... how thousands of people have performed Hamlet over the years. But I digress. Yeah, I try to actively credit direct well-earned praise to the writers. And I'll take credit for the parts that I did. But if I didn't write the script, then I consider the video a collab with the writer, because they built the foundation for it. And in a way, really, I'm the one who was invited to the collab, given permission to join _their_ project, when they posted the script for use. That generosity kind of boggles my mind. I don't think I'd have a channel at all if it weren't for them. I don't know if I'd have ever worked up the motivation to start if I had to write everything on my own. I'm rambling again. It confused me too, at first, so I asked the writer for a little clarification, and I tried to put what I think the listener's character would already know in the description, hoping that would help. The term "songbird" is used by the dragons as sort of a slur against humans with magic, but what our queen here is saying is that Songbird actually means something quite different. You are the only true Songbird in existence (there can only ever be one at a time), and your power is sort of a counterbalance to a being that she calls a Farmer. I don't _think_ that's a term the listener has probably ever heard before in this sense, and she's not going into much more explanation, so anything else might be a bit spoilery, and I'll leave off there. I asked ItsEsmeJones a bit about the lore, and from what she said, I don't think a Songbird is like a battery - more like the two parts together balance each other out. And so both of them are stronger together than they would be apart. I've seen part 3, too, and I think you're going to like the way it's heading. I hope that you do! One of the downsides of using other people's writing is that I'm sometimes the only one who doesn't know the hidden reference that literally came out of my own mouth. 😄 It could very well be! I don't know yet how many parts there will be. The writer, ItsEsmeJones, has released part three as of now, and it seems as though she plans to continue beyond that, but I don't know for sure how many chapters she has plans for. As for whether the queen really cares for the listener, yes, absolutely, I'm 1000% convinced that she does. She had no motivation to leave that cell, and she even believed it was for the best that she stay, until she heard that the listener was being hurt, and that was something she couldn't stand. And after reading the script for part three, I'm even more convinced that genuinely cares for the listener. ❤️
Mmm, I think probably not? I'm not the author so I don't know all the lore, but I think "songbird" here is something more unique. From what I understand, the protag is a human with special abilities, which the queen has partially explained but partially not, so not even the listener character fully understands what they're capable of. I don't think it's meant to be the same thing as a phoenix, but I could very well be wrong, please don't quote me! 😅

A hint for creativity, whem you are writing and you don't know what to write next, just put anything, and finish the part, later you go back and read what you writed and them probably you will have something better to improve that part. It has more or less the efect whem you read, like you are evaluating and pointing another one error, but to yourself. Last thing is, whem someone ask you to impress, and you have no idea, think in something that you woundn't do normaly to congratulate, like curse, or flirt. These people are normaly bored, or they are the funny ones and would like the unusual setup. Just don't go too hard.

And so both of them are stronger together than they would be apart. I've seen part 3, too, and I think you're going to like the way it's heading. I hope that you do!

I don't know yet how many parts there will be. The writer, ItsEsmeJones, has released part three as of now, and it seems as though she plans to continue beyond that, but I don't know for sure how many chapters she has plans for.
As for whether the queen really cares for the listener, yes, absolutely, I'm 1000% convinced that she does. She had no motivation to leave that cell, and she even believed it was for the best that she stay, until she heard that the listener was being hurt, and that was something she couldn't stand. And after reading the script for part three, I'm even more convinced that genuinely cares for the listener. ❤️

Mmm, I think probably not? I'm not the author so I don't know all the lore, but I think "songbird" here is something more unique. From what I understand, the protag is a human with special abilities, which the queen has partially explained but partially not, so not even the listener character fully understands what they're capable of. I don't think it's meant to be the same thing as a phoenix, but I could very well be wrong, please don't quote me! 😅
@@nightshadequeenasmr With the whole bird and being engulfed in games it makes me think of Phoenix, so it could be using subtle writing to imply one I think. But it could just be something entirely different.

A hint for creativity, whem you are writing and you don't know what to write next, just put anything, and finish the part, later you go back and read what you writed and them probably you will have something better to improve that part. It has more or less the efect whem you read, like you are evaluating and pointing another one error, but to yourself.
Last thing is, whem someone ask you to impress, and you have no idea, think in something that you woundn't do normaly to congratulate, like curse, or flirt. These people are normaly bored, or they are the funny ones and would like the unusual setup. Just don't go too hard.
