It's so inspiring to see someone with an I-have-to-be-100%-about-this attitude towards choosing their clothing. And I really like the colour (rosewood, I think you said) of your new hoodie!
I wonder if you could find a seamstress local to you who could alter some of your thrifted finds? The clothes you love are simple and might fit you with some quick adjustments. Or maybe skillshare could teach you basic alterations!? Best wishes and happy spring in the highlands! 🌱
I was thinking this as well. Pulling a garment in a bit under the arms to make the top more fitted is not difficult. A good seamstress could alter inexpensively and the cost would pay off if it was a garment you would get a lot of use out of.
In the U.S. you can take simple alterations to a tailor, to adjust the fit of those tops/dresses, for not too much money! OR, I know there are RUclips videos to explain how to do it yourself. I’m a big fan of old sewing books, so even though I’m at a BASIC seemstress level myself, I’ve been able to alter ALOT of my thrifted clothing to fit me better.
The green dress in the charity shop was lovely on you and could be altered to fit your shoulders. I think a solution for you would be to buy two piece items which you can have smaller on top but also an even better option for capsule wardrobe, creating possibly up to 5 new looks depending on what the top was like. With the beautiful weather we are having right now its easy to get excited for the new season clothes wise however as we all know up here there is usually a flick of the nature tail that brings more snow!
I loved this video. Brilliant. It helps me learn pairing and layering options, I don't always think of, and reminds me of the possibilities. I would have liked to have seen more of layering options, to give me more ideas. I love all your videos. Very inspirational. I love the wardrobe, walking, baking, routines, and day to day life ones. They inject a little fun into my week. And Skye is such a beautiful doggy. She reminds me of mine, another gentle soul 🙂
I really enjoyed this video. It's nice to see what vegan brands and sustainable companies you like I also am pear shaped with a narrow foot so this was very helpful. I tend to stick to blues and greens for clothing too.
Better a pear than an apple! 🍏🍐😊Some lovely finds there, which really suit you. What do you tend to wear on your legs with dresses and skirts in colder weather? I'd like to wear them more, but find I don't care for wearing thick tights so much these days. I suppose leggings are an option.
I’m also pear shape (at least 1 size bigger on the bottom than the top). With dresses, flared or looser-on-the-hips ones, I order the size that fits my top and the flare takes care of the bottom half. 😊
What about Skye's spring wardrobe?! 😁 Love your hair that little bit shorter. So disappointed the polkadit dress was too big at the too cause it was beautiful. It was so feminine. 💕💕
Those items all looked great on you. Really good! Maybe just a few darted seems and it will fit as you like. I think the thrift shop items were all keepers for you! Even the shirt with the puffy sleeves was gorgeous.
Beautiful clothes haul….love the dress and skirt from the charity shop….they are just perfect….just shows you dont have to spend a lot to look really good 😃 x
I loved those 2 blue dresses on you that were too big. Have you considered using someone local who does alterations? Then you could have beautiful custom pieces to wear. 😊That long sleeve T looks fantastic paired with your good dress. Ive just halved my clothing again, an overfull wardrobe somehow sneaks up on me. That felt great. Now ill have to find new ways to pair up and wear what i have . Thank you for sharing lovely
Loved everything in your wardrobe. 😊 It is thanks to you that I discovered SeaSalt, and found trousers that actually fit me for the first time in my life! 😅 I'm 5', so trousers are normally too long. We went to UK last Oct. and I made it my mission to visit a SeaSalt (again, thanks to you!), and lo-and-behold, it was as-if the corduroy trousers were made for me... I nearly swooned! Anyway, you've given more excellent tips with the EBay possibility. And the vegan shoe company I need to look-into when my shoes go kaput. Hugs! xo
I love thrift shops and charity shops! In Madrid, where I currently live, there are many of them, and you can find really lovely clothes in very fair prices. I bought myself a wool cardigan for only 7 euro because it a really small hole which was easy to fix. And I recognized charity shop in Inverness which we visited last summer. We found there a great wool and cotton sweater for my husband :)
I have suscribed recently, since then I can't stop watching all your videos. They are so inspiring and healing. I'm sure you will be successful here on youtube. Good luck!
Love your wardrobe, and your hairstyle with the ends going under really suits you. As a fellow vegan I just wanted to mention, as you showed the British Heart Foundation charity shop, they do do animal testing. I won't shop there myself for that reason. Just thought I'd mention it, hope you don't mind. You seem really upbeat and happy in this vlog. It's inspired me to take a good look at my wardrobe and do a bit of de cluttering.
Hi Molly that rosewood hoodie is such a beautiful colour looks beautiful on you too,lm more of a boho person love all that stuff you showed us, the jumpsuit is my favourite,Enjoy your week ❤ 😊
Its so nice that you have a grasp of your colors, they really do flatter you. My fav is your pinafore dress, it looks amazing. You wardrobe has such a nice cohesive look perfect for Scotland with a nice mix of practical and going-out on the town style clothes that flow together (I find that combo hard to combine in my own wardrobe). You are so pretty, love the haircut!!
I really enjoyed this episode. I've been struggling to reduce the amount of clothes I have and would love to know really basic stuff like how many tee shirts and how many pairs of leggings you manage with etc. I'm a blues and blue greens kind of girl too and love all your clothing choices.
I think I have around 10-12 t-shirts (mix of long and short sleeved) and four pairs of leggings. I don't think there is a magic number, its just about working out what feels right for you :)
Have you tried taking clothing into a tailor? It’s such a lost art that makes the clothing tailored just for you. It’s really worth it and never costs much.
Hi love your youtube channel, the future Clothes is recycle Patagonia is top and woolpower. The cotton is not good al lot of water cost and pollution of pestisdes and slave work to pluk. Grtj from belgium
Some beautiful clothes and blues definately suit you! I think colours that match/compliment our eye colour always seem to work well.. I'm a big Seasalt fan too. I'm just 20 mins from their Padstow store in Cornwall and have to restrain myself! Their clothes are such good quality and really last. I've just ordered a top in the their mid season sale! Thanks for sharing your capsule wardrobe - it's inspiring and is encouraging me to downscale this year.

Molly like the new hair cut. Looks really nice. We would like to see more thrifting videos. We enjoy when you take us into the shops. 💕
Thank you for your feedback! :)
That cornflower blue dress at the thrift shop was STUNNING on you! I'm sad on your behalf you didn't get it haha
Aw thank you!
You are so not pear-shaped! Just very slim! 😁
Love that green spotted dress on you and the blue crop top thing!
Hair looks lovely :)
Thank you! :)

Aw thank you!
Your clothing line is so cute! Is there any chance of offering these items in black in the future?
Have a wonderful week.
Thank you! Unfortunately Teemill only offers certain colours I can chose from, but maybe in the future! :)
"Standing jeans" 😂 I know what you mean, I'm so done with uncomfortable clothes. Lovely vlog as ever 😊
Haha glad its not just me! Thank you lovely :)
Your haircut is very flattering, and your spring wardrobe is super cute!
Aw thank you! :)

That's a good idea, I do have some basic sewing skills so I could give it a go! :)

Thank you! What is the name of the brand you like so much? To my american ear it sounds like “Sea Salt”? Love, love, love your videos ❤
If you click on more under the video it will show the link for Seasalt and if you live in the US they do ship there.
Yes it is Seasalt! :)

I love your preferred palate! And that ceramic teapot behind you in the outro is gorgeous.
I agree that the color palette you’ve chosen really suits you
you should learn to tailor dresses, you can do by hand so it won't take up space but will open you up to more choices and stays sustainable
My name is Florence, I’m a new subscriber. I love your videos and your dog is so cute❤
Aw thank you and welcome Florence! :)
Why don’t you get your dress altered if you love it ❤
Like your videos keep them coming
