Dude, truck drivers literally get paid to sit in traffic and just because they drive trucks, doesen't mean, they are VIP now. They also knew, they drive a truck, when they opened the door to the driver cabin and I can't say it often enough: THEY LITERALLY GET PAID FOR WAITING THERE EVEN IF IT IS TWO HOURS!!!!!! There is not just absolutely no fucking need to show sympathy for truck drivers, you should literally be jealous of how easy it is to make money!
No one forced them to take that job, no one forced them to do this license and no one forced them to not be prepared for the streets or traffic! It's like there is this kid in school, who absolutely did nothing all school year and then in the end, you want to convince everyone to give it not just the same grade, than other's who at least tried and did some good work sometimes, but even a good grade, because this kid should be something special! Mostly for steep hills and/or heavy vehicles, though. In the cammer's case I'd also have expected the oncoming car to wait.
