As a rookie in SF, Palou collected 3 pole positions and 1 win. He should have won more races. Sometimes technical issues hindered him from the chance of victory especially on the last 2019 race. I have watched all 2019 races. Remember when you're rookie in SF or IndyCar, you also have to face competitor which are already 10 years or more in that series. And he learned and adapt pretty well.
1:35.972 vs Seb's 2019 pole at 1.27.064. That's really impressive from the SF car considering it's not hybrid and doesn't have as much HP. Awesome, hope we see more videos like this. =)
Maybe it's to ease off the hairpin. There isn't much use of an extreme turn to the right, so better use of motion range by using offset, although it may be bit of a stretch of a theory for "just a hairpin".
Even though this was slower than an F1 pole lap, it gave me a much greater sensation of speed because the camera seems to be lower shakes more. Maybe the cameras in F1 are just too good lol

The lap time of that Super Formula car is only a tenth off Michael Schumacher’s pole position time in 2000 at Suzuka . Which he set a “1:35.825” and that’s considering how incredibly dated the 2000 Ferrari was in comparison to the current era or even the cars from the late 2010s

Why was his steering wheel not straight when going in a straight line? I doubt sth was broken, so was it maybe adjustes to his preferences, as weird as that might be?
1:12 After that exit he straightens his steering and goes to the left side of the track. Then at 1:17 he turns the wheel ever so slightly to the right and you can see he is driving to the right side to open up the next left turn.
So.. you mean every other open wheel single seater racing cars are a copy of F1? How silly of you... There are many racing series with Formula cars outside F1 like Super Formula, IndyCar, & Formula E. There are also F2, F3, F4, IndyLights, etc acting as feeder series to these top racing series.
