    Hello. I loved your videos about building your virtual pinball table. Would you be able to build another one for me? I would need a Williams widebody. Depending if you have time maybe we can agree on something. Thank you in advance. Chris

      Hi. I'm just not set up in that way as a workshop/business. Ideally a full size cnc is required and mines way too small. There are a few places out there that sell flat pack cabs though...thats originally what i was going to use but shipping was very expensive for me to import it.

      Smugwood You are perfectly right. Extremely expensive with the shipping. I was looking at some CNC machines. Would a £2000 one do the job or that’s only a toy?

      Thanks. And merry Christmas to you too. Hoping I’ll get a bit more done before Spring but it’s tricky when everything is all iced over 😂

      Thanks :-) I'd rank this as my most stressful project of all time haha!!! What a nightmare it was. But it's looking so much better and whilst it's not quite the workshop I'd originally planned, Im in it most nights now so its certainly a worthwhile build :-)

    Looking good Lee! Bet you can't wait to get in there and start making.

      Yeah there's not much more to do now...just a pity winter kicked in. But it's fairly well built and despite minus temperatures and no heating in there...it's staying well above freezing in there so it's quite comfortable to work in :-)

    Hi made what colour did you select and did it look good? Also which corners trims did u use?

    • @Smugwood
      @Smugwood  4 года назад

      Everything was Cedral C06 grey/green. Corners are symmetrical trim. Door trim is asymmetrical.

    Bless you buddy you are doing absolutely fantastic. Not only talking about your mental struggles but making it public here as well, your courage is what drives you. Well done! I really appreciate and respect you for your strength to walk forward 'No Matter What!' Kindest regards, Florin (Warwickshire)

    Also do you have video of how you finished around the door/window?

    • @Smugwood
      @Smugwood  4 года назад +1

      I used asymmetrical trim either side of the door. Instead of cedral I used plastic trim so I didn’t have to cut a long thin line of cedral. I’ve not done a video on this part yet as I’m waiting until warmer weather so I can finish the paving etc and the wall and call it job done 😊👍

    Hi mate great job. Can I ask what colour was the board you used? Thanks

    • @Smugwood
      @Smugwood  2 года назад +1

      I think it’s a grey green. I have touch up paint with Cedrel Code C06 on it.

    looking great .. Houses in London look so dingy because of old grey or yellow brickwork style. Need this external cladding for brighter look :)

      Thanks. Initially I was going to go with stained wood but my misses was hoping the cladding would make the garden brighter and it really does.

      Thank you. A lot of hard work goes into making the videos and the music and if im honest, im not sure they get that many views so it's always nice to hear good feedback. Many thanks.

    Hey bud
    Love your shed build.
    I have recently undertaken a shed build but luckily not ran into the problems that you have. I’m sorry that it has been such a struggle for you.
    Where did you turn to find all of the specs or instructions of building your shed for example the vapour barrier and the osb and general construction of it

      A lot of internet research and FB groups where I asked lots of questions. Problem is I got lots of answers and some quite varied. So I’m the end I called the company who made the membrane and they talked me through it. Everything seems to work fine but there is one issue I’ve to fix. Whenever I turn my extractor on, i can’t open the door because of the powerful vacuum it creates 😂 I guess this is due to how well the vapour barrier is sealing. So I may look at adding a vent. The vapour barrier is something that I’ve seen many people arguing over...even big companies. There seems to be divided opinions on wether it should be there or not. I can see both arguments for it...but despite all my research...nobody mentioned about it sealing so well my door wouldn’t open 😂 I’ll need to post a video of that as it’s quite strange to see it happening.

      @@Smugwood Is your vapour barrier waterproof from the outside, i used tongue and grove cladding on the outside which seems to have moved in the temperature which has now made holes allowing water to come straight in and soak the insulation.
      I watched a lot of videos and at the time, not many uk videos mentioned it, all of the US videos did but i thought that would just apply to them because they are on a different climate to cumbria :)

      The vapour barrier is in the inside. On the outside I’ve got the Cement Board, then there’s an air gap, then a waterproof but breathable membrane, then OSB on the main frame. Then inside I’ve the vapour barrier with vt and g on top. My insulation is on the inside behind the VB. Not sure if that helps 👍
