Last game casters were like SoS doesnt know that for so long yet thet all forgot that ZEST didnt build a nexus and if he had the Zest has built a nexus and is no longer being revealed would come up
He didn't know if ZEST still had probes.
@@BetaCuckAlpha Yeah, but he knew that he wasn't mining; and he'd be notified the second a nexus was built, so it didn't matter.

@@snowdrop9810 sOs wouldn't know how many probes Zest still have or how much minerals he is holding. Even if Zest couldn't build a nexus, he could still build a pylon to draw the game out longer.
But I think he realized the situation once Zest went back to his main base to all-in with all he had. That's when sOs knew he was already ahead and Zest couldn't build anything up regardless of how many probes or minerals left for him.

Honestly this is why I am not playing Protoss what other Protoss players do to me when I play protoss.... I can just go in the corner of my room and cry :D But gosh dang it this is so much fun to watch

Build order losses kinda suck. Doesn’t seem to happen anywhere else. The “safe” openers just put you too far behind especially in mirror matchup.

Great series. Altho Zest is... Yea Zest... SOS will remain as the best 5/7 game series player on SC2. He won 2 WCS b2b for a reason.
I’m thinkin the most unfortunate sc2 match rn has to be my boy Byun smaaaashing currently world champion Dark 2-0 DAYS AFTER defeating Serral, Maru, etc at ASUS RoG MONTHS AFTER coming back to the game from being in the army only to get reverse swept 2-3 at GSL super tournament from his hand exploding. Get that boy a specialist please.

Yeah but I don't think a doctor would really help him. Any surgery make him unable to play and the alternative physical therapy plus using those specific motions less would also mean: STOP PLAYING. If he doesn't start using his left hand for the mouse then he is on a timer, unfortunately...
@@clemensmartin1034 I wonder if this is the issue with the ligament/tendon or its a joint issue. If its a joint, then it could be easier to heal or extend his playing career. Another way to help would to pick and choose to play only major/premier tournament. Byun has played non-stop since he got back to the pro-scence, like all weekly tournament, minor and major tournaments.
@@tigera6 By the symptoms it seems to me like its the typical carpal tunnel where the overused/ inflamed tendons put pressure on the median nerve. That's also a concern for an operation - if you hurt this nerve then he couldn't click with his index and middle finger any more. Really it's potentially pretty scary stuff - he should be careful, after all there is a live after progaming as well.

Wait, in game 2, couldn't zest have just made cannons along with the robo when he started it? It really seemed that the robo was a reaction to possible DTs since Zest made it just as he spotted a prism. However, wouldn't it also be logical to make at least like 1 cannon for detection? I know that 150 minerals is super significant in a pro game, but surely it's worth it in this setting???
He was clearly doing a fast 3rd build that heavily delayed the robo and didn’t want to deviate from it, as majority of PvPs have them both have a robo by the time DTs hit
Its sorta too late at that point. While zest could try to hold and build cannons, SoS is still expanding and building army off the back of those 3 DTs. Zest would bleed a bunch of units/probes/resources while trying to hold the DTs. If he tries to cannon in the natural the DTs kill it and the probes. SoS also had a DT killing probes in the main. He is basically stuck on zero mining base until he builds an observer which would take a couple of minutes and the robo would have to be hidden or else it would get killed. In that time SoS could saturate his third putting him effectively up 2 bases. Zest can't attack either because a single DT kills his entire army. Zest was very dead.

Tastosis is basically just two great buds hanging out and watching sc2 together. That’s why sometimes there are those moments of silence, they’re there to enjoy the show as well.
Can someone explain why he quit when he saw the two dark templars? Loving watching but very new to the game...
Basically Zest had ZERO detection on the map, and it wouldve taken him a long time to get some. Dark templars are pretty much invincible without being able to detect them, so by the time he got detection out, just two dark templars wouldve done immense amounts of damage.

Starting at 4:00, the commentators made a number of references. The only one I understood was the body snatcher one which is from a really old movie (unless they meant something else). What were the others?
Alpha Star is a high-level AI for Starcraft. Green blood could be a few things - it's a typically 'alien' blood, but the most commonly known in Vulcans from Star Trek.

Remember, he wouldn't have been able to put a cannon down in the natural cause that's where the DTs are. sOs would've gotten a huge lead nonetheless. It's foolish to even try to play it out.

The commentators are so bad man, sorry if this offends anyone but the quality of analysis is way way down. They distract me with boring and out of place jokes and laughs. I prefer the other ones
Well, they are more for humor. That has always been the casual casting style of GSL English casters Tastosis for so long.

@@SunyiMad They can do that too, but they are more for humor since the regular viewers get used to that style. Artosis has a great analysis as he constantly revisits SC2 from time to time while Tasteless is much better at BW analysis than SC2 analysis.
Nothing in this cast was terribly complex, except for 1.298k minerals
@@Whalery Actually their quality in term of analyze & predict the game has stepped down in this tournament. They really couldnt tell who was leading between TY & Hurricane, and made bad prediction on the encounters. Then when Byun went with the 2-1-1 build order, Artosis said something about its a strange build order and couldnt understand why the Medivac were at home with the Marine walking instead. If they watch any Byun game, they would have known he was doing that build in many TvZ game. And they thought SoS would lose the base trade to Zest despite having a better army and he wrecked all the Nexus from Zest.
I mean those 2 are still a big blast to watch and their entertainment value it off the chart, but in term of technical quality of the game, it just look to me that they spent too much time with BW and couldnt care less about SC2 at the moment.
