You guys somehow missed the sack on Maholmes that was voided because of the illegal contact downfield. Even the announcer said that it was strange because Maholmes was sacked so quickly. That penalty allowed the Chiefs to get their only Td on the day. Are the Chiefs really that lucky, or are there other influences working Chiefs opponents? Come clean, NFL!
Yeah, that was ticky-tack at best. As a former player, I don’t like to blame the outcome of games on officiating (unless its blatant, eg Saints/Rams no call 2019). Officiating will always be subjective, human, and imperfect. It’s an obstacle that every team must overcome to win. Control the controllable. The Chiefs do appear to be extraordinarily lucky. They’re also a well prepared, well coached team. If the league really is scripted, why are the big market NY/CHI/DAL teams so bad?
@BreakdownBillCody I'm not really sure about teams and markets. But, I'm sure that the NFL is helping the Chiefs. There's 4 examples this season alone, in Chiefs games. If you're a former player, answer me this: What is the responsibility of the line judge? It's to determine if someone is offsides. That's pretty simple, wouldn't you say? During the Buffalo/Rams game, the Rams were offensively offsides, and the officials missed the simple call. Rams got a 1st down on the play, followed by a Puka touchdown. To error is human, but blatant error is not exceptable.
It looks like Wallace was dropping into a middle field zone rather than playing man coverage. Still a coverage bust, but the mistake is different than you've described it here.
Wallace is blowing assignments every time he touches the field. The rookie needs to start or we need to trade for an elite cornerback. Wallace should never touch grass again.
@@DjLoidHvMercy Tape don’t lie. Personally, I would love to see him make one or two big plays in the colts game today. If he continues on his current path i don’t see how he stays in the league
@ I think that the games are too large and too much exact stake for Wallace to play. We have to play the rookie. As bronco fans, have bad experiences, especially with cornerbacks wearing number 27 being targeted by opposing quarterbacks all game. WE HAVE TO “DRAIN” THE SWAMP 😂🙌🏾
Major click bait! Hopkins is a very good player, one of the leagues best for a long time. Yet in 2023 his caught-dropped ratio was 75 of 136, about 67% caught. Not allowing the blocked field goal by the Chiefs was the biggest botched play. Blocking a field goal is one of the rarest plays. Roughly 1 in 100 attempts. Conversely making a field goal was the more likely play statistically. Field goals are the most automated play in the NFL with the highest success rate particularly at the distance. Lutz has proven to be one of the most reliable. This play points out how important special teams are.
I don’t disagree that special teams are VITAL. Ask the Patriots. However, games that come down to a field goal got there through plays like this one. Fans want a single scapegoat and football is the ultimate team sport.
He’s had a rough season, for sure. Tape don't lie. Likely that Kris Abrams-Draine is going to get more reps the rest of the season. Also likely that we draft another corner for more depth. Get well soon Riley Moss!!
Wallace needs to balance more, for a guy with his experience. Being balanced is fundamental. When I coach, I have guys face me, and I throw them a medicine ball (the weight varies), which teaches them to stay balanced.
@@Robert-bm2mf fundamentals are always key, but he was clearly outmatched by Jerry Jeudy. The mystery is why Coach Joseph didn’t make the adjustment after what were in was clearly not working.
@@Robert-bm2mf I completely agree but you would think a guy with his experience would have been training on balance for a long time and wouldn't need that much improvement. He went undrafted in 2018
That's ok. If the Broncos clean up their mistakes and things break their way, they'll get another shot at KC in KC, and I think Denver wins that match up.

You might be right. I would think that if we’re blitzing from that side he would know they need to be in man 🤷🏻♂️
Get why you are saying this but it is obviously wrong as if the FG play protection is done properly the Broncos win.
@@robwo1821 of course, but it sure would’ve been nice if we didn’t NEED the last second field goal. Thats the point I’m trying to make

Honestly though Wallace kinda sucks. Definitely the worst DB we have. Through in a rookie so that we can at least blame inexperience
