Walken harkening back to Nov 29, 1981 when he was with Natalie Wood when she mysteriously died on the Splendor…Only he & Robert Wagner really know how she died & they still aren’t talking
My god this is hilarious. Walken - "Look, this is hardly fair, Gary is Biased, he's had it in for me since the minute I tried to eat him! You have a long memory my friend" Gary: "That was two days ago" Walken: "Well I got no hard feelings on this end, that's just what happens on a Cocaine high" I might never stop laughing
Now let's be fair, he didn't do his "Walken stare" here, he was reading from cue cards all the time. For an "outstanding" performance I expect the actor to at least know his lines.
Having had to apologize too often myself for cocaine highs, attempted cannibalism and gay stuff, I sympathize with the captain. They should give him a break.
This was funny, but it reminded me of a number of grossly incompetent people I've worked with over the years who felt that they deserved to be in leadership positions. These were people who, although they had worked in their positions for years, still didn't know what they were doing half the time. I recall a coworker who would continually ask me basic questions about the group's policies a couple of weeks after I joined the group. He didn't know what he was doing even though he had been working in that group for well over a decade. Despite that, he would regularly whine about not being promoted and that he deserved to be the group's supervisor because he had seniority.
Its the perfect one for the 2020 election !! I mean he says he'll freak out if he doesn't get the vote !! Sound familiar?? Its crazy how much this sums up the debates and election.
The only thing that would have made the parallels to the 2020 election more obvious would have been if Alec Baldwin had played the captain. And yes, we are all in a lifeboat together.
It will be interesting to see in 2021if we actually are all in a lifeboat together. I think what we will see is who is prepared and who is hungry. Hopefully your choices will work out like you expected. I guess we will see. I am prepared, hope you are. :)
@@medexamtoolscom That is what I meant by "parallels": parallels between 2013 and 2017. Why adopt such an antagonistic tone, medexamtools? There is enough antagonism in the world already. We should not add to it unnecessarily.
The reading from Q cards is annoying but apparently it's because the script is written the same day and the actors only read it when they film the scene.
Listen....That was the "Happy Bird" on Vacation....And Uh.....It was a Little TOO Happy......That was YOUR way in the angry bird game......Mr. Walken You Are NEVER Getting Fired....You Went Crazy A LONG time ago

So thrilled to have the great Biden and family. What an improvement! This is the opinion of every Trump deranged anti American. We reap what you idiots have sown.
One of the best parts of a Walken episode is how out in the open he is about cue cards. Not even hiding it at all.
i`ve been looking for that one..is it on youtube ?
Makes him always look like he's in his own little world (which - in this case - isn't far from the truth).
and still funny doing it lol
The skit is funnier because of the way he reads the cue cards. The best Guest host of all time.
My favorite part is that he doesn't care when he's off cue. No one really does. It's Christopher Walken.
Trying to light his farts with a flare gun to try and boost group morale is pretty epic.
"it's good to be here" hahahah
That small sentence is just the genius of walken, it's good to be here 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😁😁
"THERE'S NO STOPPING THE BIRD ATTACKS NAOW!"
"No hard feelings on this end pal, that's what happens on a cocaine high."
What? Where? You a cop? Me? I'm fine,......
"Why? You buying?"
Anytime Chris Walken is on, it’s automatic gold!
This was the first and last sketch that Seth Meyers, Fred Armisen and Will Forte wrote together. Hilarious and historic!
@@joshuaraulfrancesbedroomte6568 I wrote that comment a year ago, but I’m pretty sure I heard them talk about it on Seth Meyers’ podcast
It was pretty bad which is why it was their last together
You can just say ‘only’
Great writing but ruined by Walken's performance. Huge Walken fan but he intentionally did extremely low effort performances on SNL
"What?!....I'm Paddling" LOL xD
christopher walken so funny i love this dudes voice
can he at least try and look like hes trying to act?
is he an actor ? if so why he reads from the cue - cards....?
Yeah me too.

this skit is a hidden gem
Yes, yes, and yes.
The real hidden gem is 'Connie Stinson talks' they always take it down but can be found elsewhere
It's easy to say that NOW.
I never knew just how funny C.W. was....
Every SNL skit and his bit in Pulp Fiction.....ROFL...the Best

Reading the cue cards ,and skipping over the punctuation. That's classic Walken.

This was hysterical! Crowd was ice cold.
I love Christopher Walken. This is awesome. Thanks SNL for all the good fun and humor.
I love that Christopher Walken is willing to say any goofy line.
Wow this feels like watching any political debate from the last 12 years
My thoughts exactly 😅
Walken is reading clue cards like there is no tomorrow.

Christopher Walken should have played this character in Captain Phillips.
Problem sorted in the first five minutes of the movie
Pirates: "Give us control of your vessel."
Walken:: "Lunch is here NAOW!""
Genius writing genius
He'll make for the funniest Captain but he won't make for a great captain at all.😂
man, he is GLUED to that teleprompter.
is this rehearsal footage?
That gives his character an even more disconcertingly insane edge
He literally never memorize his lines when he's on SNL...check it out.

Pretty sure that at 4:24 Walken is saying his stage directions out loud when he shouts "Lunge!" and then goes after Seth Meyers.
I always thought that he said "lunch" but you know, yours makes more sense.

I see some good reasons for a mutiny on that little raft.
I mean, this skit was from 2003. Did Walken or anybody there that night have any idea how much his character was going to resemble Donald Trump?
Here for this ☝
The resemblance is uncanny.

This is a good Donald Trump impression by Christopher Walken. I think he can see the future too.
Christopher Walken’s impression of Trump as boat Captain. Later Trump running for 2024. And he still wins. Crazy
The warning at the end about going REALLY berserk if he doesn't win is hitting a little too close to home as we close in on the Nov 2024 election day.
