Huge GS carves front annnnnd back, hand drags, off axis weirdness, uphill, upside down, and backwards in the pipe... I don’t know what deity you made a deal with, but I’d like an introduction.
First the one in Japan and now this one!!! Great job, love these videos...the music selection is just great, it gives a lot of life to the footage, very nicely edited ...Great job, great skiing!
I've been riding a pair of Sakana's since spring 2019, and absolutely love them! But I just found a good reference for binding placement, and mine are completely off, chosen by previous owner 😅 Comparing @2:20 to mine, my skistops comes out at the wave-edge of the scales.. One of my skis have also separated in the tip, so I shall now upgrade to a pair of 2023 Sakana, and place the binding correct!
Well I guess it's time for another set of Pollards for the quiver which already includes a set of 2013 and two sets of 2014 Mr Pollards Opus, 2015 Magnum Opus, 2016 Bacons, 2017 Mortecia and the cherry on top is a set of 2018 Sick Days 94's which were a gift from a good friend and employee of T-line. My favorites are the Magnums. Thank you Line for making a killer ski along side Eric and his amazing artwork!! See you on the mountain Eric ;-)
I'm 6'0 tall, 165 lbs, advanced skier. What length ski in the Sakana do you recommend? Also, I'm curious, how tall is Eric Pollard and what length Sakana does he ski?
In soft snow, the swallow tail will push the tail of the ski down creating a stance you can drive off of in powder rather than merely steer. It also creates unique chances to the torsional flex of the ski -- specifically through the back-end of the turn. Basically it makes going forward that much more fun.
Swallow tail reduces surface area at the back of the ski so it naturally drops in the soft stuff keeping the big 150 toe up. These things rip everywhere, every day of the year
I'm a 50 year old father of two, the only thing that "bothered" me about this is that I wish these skis were around when I was younger. It was a cool, fun video that has me psyched for the winter.
And the tail makes a perfect beer opener !
for sure!

I often watch this when I can't be on the Sakanas. Brilliant skis and excellent edit here. Its the most fun ski I've ever been on.
Can’t wait for the snow to fall again

Music: What Does It Take (To Win Your Love) by Alton Ellis
I could use some spring carves rn
Does the tail have any impact on performance or is it for aesthetics??

When was this filmed
Spring 2018!
Does it rip pow??
at 105 mm underfoot it can handle for sure in pow. Plus the tips are huge so nice and floaty!
Swallow tail reduces surface area at the back of the ski so it naturally drops in the soft stuff keeping the big 150 toe up. These things rip everywhere, every day of the year
Is that thing they do when they go back and forth called turning???
yes .. but we agree it should be called back and fourth wiggling.
@@lineskis these skis look so fun
they are we swear!
@@lineskis unfortunately not in the cards for me this season :(
What model Line Skis are those?
really?
This guy asking the real questions. hahahaha
all in for new style, but this lazy ass style doesnt even look fun and my grandmother can ride like this
Damn granny must rip.
Welcome to the identity crisis of the hipster. Great skiing, the rest is cringy.
This is ski culture. No dissing bruh
Bridger Lambert tobacco pipes and handlebar mustaches aren't ski culture.
Pretty sure Ski Culture can be whatever you want it to be; but hey, we're not doctors.
