That's great! I love getting projects like that. And you can probably throw the necklace Ferro rods on bracelets too. Nice crafting time with the nieces. Though idk how you feel about giving younglings fire making ability 😅
Right, lots of fun projects. I was actually toying with the idea of using one of the ferro rods with one of their small strikers as a zipper pull, maybe on a fire kit pouch. And haha true 😂
@@UncommonEDC definitely look into the fire cord for that - like those fire tinder zipper pulls we got from GoingGear a while back. It's pricey, but fits the theme. And can be used as cordage AND tinder. I think it only comes in 2 colors though... I'm not partial to the small rods and would probably also include a full rod like that zunden fatty also from GoingGear. And while we're on the subject, have you heard anything from them RE: Feb and Mar outside of the flashlights that were supposed to ship 2 weeks ago? I've got a gear itch pretty bad... 😂
@@shkibby1 Good call, I actually have a roll of the fire cord that I could use. And I got my tracking for March yesterday, it was just the regular generic tracking email, no update on it. I am wondering if they still don't have the missing flashlights or if they are just going to put it in with March for the premium. For the standard, they didn't send anything yet for February right? Hopefully we'll get an update soon.
@@UncommonEDC yeah, for standard they haven't sent anything. I'm expecting a double box now, still haven't heard anything. Glad you got your shipping! I'll have to hit them up on IG or something
Yeah, I have a leather and paracord version now with the ferry rod strikers. The strikers are really great to. And agreed, the paracord scraps are the perfect length for a couple zipper pulls. Thanks for checking it out and all the feedback!!
I like the concept this company pulled off by selling what they'd consider waste rather than write it off as a loss, however the price is a little steep for my liking.
Yeah, definitely feel that although if I were to buy a hat and belt I’d definitely end up spending more than the price of this and that’s not factoring in all the other stuff but they are also seconds so gotta take that into a consideration too.
@@UncommonEDC Yeah if the hat and belt weren't rejects you might spend more than the total cost of the bag, but given they didn't meet quality standards they'd be marked down in price. There were quite a few things that were pretty useful overall, but considering this looks random with no choice of what's going in, it seems like too much of a gamble. I'd estimate the total actual value of the stuff you got in this bag might come closer to $40 at most.
@@Eidolon1andOnly considering the fact that it's all stuff they would have thrown out, I'd say the total value of the bag was whatever it cost to ship it. They literally just mailed him an unironic bag of crap.
@@UncommonEDC no problem I was watching anther video on here he was pocket checking people one of the guys demonstrated the sos lines I went picked one up after that lol
It was definitely the item I was hoping for most so really glad it was in the bag. I saw Maxlvledc did an unboxing of four of these yesterday, some really great stuff they threw in.
If you tie the various paradise scraps together, burn the edges, or not, the make great kitty toys! My cat loves them.
That’s a great use for all of these scraps. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@UncommonEDC did u do it this year 2024???
I see no vids on 2024 ones 8(((
That's a pretty cool bag of crap. Expensive bag of crap but at least it's not a crappy bag of crap. 😂
Haha true, glad it wasn’t a crappy bag of crap too. Or worse a flaming bag of crap 😬

Those ferro rods meant to go on necklaces, and those scraps of paracord would make for great zipper pulls.

Pretty cool! Great video 👍
Thank you! 🙌
FYI, the word _cache_ is pronounced like _cash,_ like "cold hard cash," not "kaysh."
Thanks, I do know that but half the time when I say it I still pronounce it ‘kaysh’. Bad habit, gotta work on that haha.
Very useful crap 😂
Indeed 😂
Cool bag of poo lol
