That really was the colleseum guys. It was actually the last fight scene ever from filmed there. Bruce Lee wanted the fight to be gladiator style so he pushed to get the fight filmed there and Bob Wall helped with that. Bruce Lee wrote, directed amd starrred in this film which was never done prior.
The cat was to represent cat like reflexes. What he is trying convey here fluidity vs rigidness. Float like butterfly sting like a bee. This is why he is still till this day the father of modern martial arts. None before him displayed this. Footwork like a boxer and fencer 🤺
The fight really did take place in a coliseum. Bruce Lee filmed the film in Rome. It was a great fight between Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris. I feel if they fought for real Bruce Lee would have won. I do not know if this is true or not, but Joe Lewis the martial artist, was supposed to play Colt. But Bruce Lee and Joe Lewis had a falling out, and the part of Colt was given to Chuck Norris.
Hey guys...love your reaction to this movie. Couple things...the cat represents how Bruce was toying with Chuck Norris by feinting in and out on his attacks for a more fluid attack instead of a standard attack which is why he was losin to Chuck. Chuck Norris character was brought in to kill Bruce Lee because the Mob gang was trying to take over the restaurant of a family friend. Bruce was sent by his uncle to help the family friend and Bruce basically beats the henchmen throughout the movie which is why they bring in Norris. Other point, the fight scene itself was shot on a Soundstage in the movie studio, they did shoot internal and external shots around the Coliseum but not the fight itself. Way of the Dragon was filmed 1972 but wasn't released in the states until 1974 after Bruce had died in 1973 and they billed it as Return of the Dragon after the Enter the Dragon title. Peace!!
Chuck Norris death was so real the next day when he walked into his karate school all students stopped and looked at him. They had seen Enter the Dragon the night before and i guess they thought he had died.
at this time chuck won a number of professional karate championships, american champion and world champion. he has far more experience against other people vs bruce lee at this point. and yet chuck has always been humble with bruce and also acknowledged that bruce is one of the greatest martial artists of our time. so a fight between these two would be extremely close. chuck norris was actually credited in telling bruce lee that he should add higher kicks above the waist in to his jeet kune do. since bruce lee's first martial art was never to kick above the waist. so chuck norris and people like danny innosanto (the kali master bruce fought earlier in this movie) taught bruce other things like the nunchucku and filipino martial arts (stick fighting), as well as higher kicking techniques. these people helped bruce in his creation of jeet kune do in to a mixed martial art. today jeet kune do lives on through danny inosanto who is still alive today.
@6:12 "Wtf? Like who wrote this script BRO!?" BRUCE LEE wrote that script. BRO. It's actually more like "who the fuck watches the climax of a film and then starts complaining he's confused about what he's watching bro!?" Could you get any more dense...
@2:19 "If it was a modern thing it would be like holy shit I'm watching Chuck Norris vs Bruce Lee". But it wasn't that at all. Both of them are two nobody's to the world when that was made. So watching two nobody's fight each other means nothing. In fact this is Chuck Norris's very first film work in his life. That's how nobody he is. In the world of professional tournament fighting tho Norris is a 5x World Champion, and Lee himself was a pillar in the Martial Art community. So they are both well known in the circles if combat but not outside of that to the rest of the world and especially nobodys in movies.

Great information! Any recommendations for other reactions we can do?
@UnInformedClips ...if you haven't done so already, I would recommend Enter the Dragon, the dungeon scene!! Peace!!

That’s wild!
Way of the Dragon not Enter the Dragon.
bruce & chuck was about the same height, maybe a inch or 2 differences only..
You can see the speed of the movement of Bruce is much faster than Chuck. I would love to see the real fight between Bruce & Chuck.
movie

Van Johnson (Green Hornet) interview is here says Bruce Lee was very fast. Also had some kind things to say about him

when does it becomes any rules in a real fight?

Five seven and three quarters. Not half
