The upside though, you have thick hair! I've been dealing with a hair loss problem due to insomnia and gosh it's annoying to see strands of hair lying everywhere. And I'm trying not to tie my hair at all to avoid additional pressure on my scalp
#1 super easy but my favorite is #2. I will use these on my daughter this week. Thank you so much for posting and making it easy for us (dads) to understand too :)
Thank you. 0:48 2 bobby pins on hair band to secure ponytail + claw 2:00 2nd, top half twist + claw 2:38 3rd french twist + a big claw 3:58 4th braid bun + claw
Same, I literally don't wear hair ties anymore. Also since I have thin hair ,hair claws give me more voluminous look and it's so flattering I get loads of compliments
#2 is lovely. I’m a pianist and never wear my hair fully down when performing. I always need my hair out of my way and fairly polished looking. This should work well.
Ok, no word of a lie, I bought myself a bulldog clip literally a few weeks ago because I saw someone using that idea to add volume to a pony tail!! I will definitely try some of the others too. Thank you!
Jesus, you're incredibly naturally gorgeous. It seems like you have barely any make up on but you look like you're ready to walk down the red carpet lol.
I just love how both the claw clip and the scrunchie have suddenly reemerged from 90's and turned into even more cute hairstyles than back then. I really loved your tutorial but I would've loved to see you making the "fountain ponytail" on the back of your head as well. Maybe you could make another tutorial with 90's hairstyles turned into 2018 😉
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT YOU NAMED IT AFTER JENNIFER’S CHARACTER!! I purposely searched for a video to see how to do her hairstyle with long hair and you delivered!! 😭♥️ thank you for that!!!
I’ve been wearing #3 for the longest time ever!!!! I’ve had so many people comment that I look old and I should stop it. But you have totally made my day and put a smile on my face. Love ya styles always!!!
Oh god! Thank you soooo much!!! I just got a hair clip and I didn’t know where someone I know got the idea of having the bun at the bottom of the claw... YOU ARE MY SAVIOR! I shall apply to those corrections and make myself look fab!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow this was 3 years ago. Where I live the claw clip just came back in about MAYBE a year ago lol. I love a good claw clip, I find it harder to get a claw clip to really stay with long thick hair. I would love to see more simple claw clip hairstyles for long THICK hair. ❤
A most beautiful ponytail and turtleneck combination The contrast between the blonde and the black is an amazing look of sophistication, someone take this lady's hand and take her out to dinner immediately!!!
so easy using just claw clip for hairstyles. thank you. my favorite is #2 also, you said it's perfect for work, I will try it for work as I like my hair down at work.
I’d LOVE to know how you style your hair with claw clips! I need more inspiration. 🤗 Watch my updated claw clip hair tutorial here: bit.ly/EasyClawClipHairstyles
i make a loose french twist in the back and put the clip up underneath and let the ends hang out overtop like a ponytail - its a very 90s look and I used to love it before I cut my hair :P
Tight french twist than clipped on the edge tucked in for an updo looking like i spent a while on it but didn't cause what mom has time to always do her hair:)
😂😂😂 Laughing at the 90s claw clips, and all I can say is...try something with the banana clips from the 80s😂😂😂These styles are still cute, even years later!
Woo hoo to the hair clip! Im a hair clip die hard from back in the day, even rememeber those long rectangle ones! lol I still do the "Jennifer" to this day. Love these, Im older(obvi since I was in the hair clip club lol) but always love a new hair do!
Count me in the Hair Clip Club as well. I had all sorts of sizes and Yes Harrisonpamela40 those were called Banana Clips.. I used to have one till a few months ago. And had no Idea that me gathering my hair into a ponytail and just twisting it then clip a hair clip to it was in style..
I think the first one is very unique and it's one that ive never seen before! 👊 The third hairstyle is close to what have ive learned and will do (Ive known abiut the hairstyle and loved it since I have been a little girl but never had a good big clip that would hold my thick hair. While I was at the store today i made sure to buy two big clips 😊). Lastly my go to is the Rachel look! 💗
To be honest, I often resort to a claw clip to secure look #4 after multiple bobby pins either fail to hide all the little ends that stick out, or slide/fall out after a few hours. 😉 It may not look quite as neat, but the claw is fail-safe for an all-day hold. I used to use these original claw clips in the '90s when they first came out; there was only one style of clip back then, and many of them were cheap plastic, not very well-made, with "teeth" at an angle that sat very uncomfortably on the back of the head, and started to fall after a few hours. There are many much better-made clips out there now which take comfort into account in their design, and I'm re-discovering them as a way to secure various hairstyles. There are so many more sizes available now, too! With my very long, thin, silky hair, a clip instantly does what ten bobby pins often can't. Nice to see them coming back into fashion!
I love your great tutorial. You make it look super easy!! I have a lot of really long baby fine hair and it's difficult to find a clip that will stay in fine thin hair. Do you have any recommendations for a clip that won't fall out or slide out of place?
I have very sleek hair and so far, I haven't found a way to add in the claw clip, without my hair sliding off it's sides, so I don't get the volume but only have a showing clip in my ponytail. Any suggestions in how to fix that? :)
Alex!! These are spectacular! So beautiful.. I can't wait to try them.. I will have to get the claw clips out. I see your dressed for the fall weather. Halloween is almost here.. The trees must be stunning where you are.. Its still in the low 80"s here.. .I'm so happy you enjoyed the pics.. Willie is so adorable.. Jo is sooo sweet..have a wonderful week 💙💙💙🐐🐶
Aw spectacular, I love that. ☺️ You’re so lucky, please enjoy the warmer weather, I adored the photos your pups. They look so sweet and deserve to be spoiled by you haha. I’ll try to instastory the fall leaves tomorrow but they’re calling for snow so fingers crossed it doesn’t haha. 💕
@@AlexGaboury snow! Already! Lol I'm wearing a sundress lol. I'd love a pic of the leaves..we don't really have that here..it doesn't get that cold.. you know I have never seen it snow.. its it warmer in the city? 🧡🧡🧡
I love this but it is really annoying because whenever I try to do it (the one which creates a small bin at the top and with the big black jaw clip) it doesn’t stay as it can’t get to my whole hair any tips for this please it doesn’t stay in place and is too loose
Why is it that it seems like every claw clip I use is either too small or too big? It either falls right out or isn't big enough to hold my hair. Only when I curl my hair and use hairspray gives me grip and I don't even have straight hair but a wavy curly texture with medium thickness to thin depending on factors.
What haircut do you have ? Any recommendations for long hair ? I have pretty long hair one length ,I want to add volume and movement without losing length .
no one:
my claw clip on my thick hair: say something i’m giving up on you

Thank you.
0:48 2 bobby pins on hair band to secure ponytail + claw
2:00 2nd, top half twist + claw
2:38 3rd french twist + a big claw
3:58 4th braid bun + claw
i'm more comfortable using a claw clip than a hair tie
👍👍👍👍👍😍😍😍😍😍😊😊😊😊😊
I'm the opposite but yk sometimes a clip is more convenient
Same and it doesn’t pull my hair out when I’m trying to restyle
Same, I literally don't wear hair ties anymore. Also since I have thin hair ,hair claws give me more voluminous look and it's so flattering I get loads of compliments
I swear hair ties pull out all my hair I now have a miny wig on my hair ties👀
#2 is lovely. I’m a pianist and never wear my hair fully down when performing. I always need my hair out of my way and fairly polished looking. This should work well.
So I lost the clip in my hair help
I’m laughing

I do my hair in the "Rachel" almost everyday when I'm to lazy to do my hair. I sometimes get told I look like her when I do it haha.
😍 You’re so lucky haha!
Utterly fabulous! 💃 Thank you.
I love this! The 90s never dies for me and I’m having youthful hair flashbacks!
Such a great tip using the small claw for ponytail volume! You explain things very well, thank you for these tutorials :)

Alex Gaboury Well, I'd love to see it 😉
I just bought a hair clip, i have long hair and i couldn't capture it all with the clip
I'm definitely gonna try your method
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT YOU NAMED IT AFTER JENNIFER’S CHARACTER!! I purposely searched for a video to see how to do her hairstyle with long hair and you delivered!! 😭♥️ thank you for that!!!
In the 90's we wore the claw clip all the time ☺ It was quite the time saver.
Gosh I couldn’t decide, I loved all of them! 💕 this was such a fun video to watch and I can’t wait to try these! x
My hair is the longest it’s ever been in my life(68), so I’m just getting up to speed on these claw clip styles, but I love them! Thanks!
I'm so glad you found them, claw clips are life changing for long hair. I'll be sure to share more for you in the future.❤️

I started using claw clips after realising that I was losing hair from wearing tight ponytails that caused alot of strain on my scalp
Same! I try to use claw clips or scrunchies whenever I can. 🤞🏻

I liked them all but loved your hair at the end.

awesome hairstyles

You've got beautiful hair. These styles are great!
I love hairclaws. Those and scrunchies are the only thinks that dont hurt me and rip my hair out.
I am constantly using small claw clips to do buns with my hair! Love that they’re back in style

Can you do the second and the fourth one with bobby pins? I love the concept, but don’t really like claw clips.

How big is the claw clip at the 3:50 mark on your video?
Hairbun is extremelly gorgeous, almost every women looks good on that hairstyle
woooow number one, so easy !
So simple and quick yet looks so cute!
Hey!! How big is the 90's black claw clip? (in inches or cm)
My hair is thick and long so no rachel style for me... The 2nd one seems very easy though so i will definitely use that one.
No.3, used this everyday in my college days back in the mid 90's

I hope you do a video on hair combs. I have no idea what to do with them!

I'm hard to convince because I was born in the early 80s and remember a lot of moms wearing this. But those looks were cute! Glad I watched.
