Aww Jess. So I just wanted to say even though I’m 40 and in perimenopause I am relating so much.
But I would say look into hormonal imbalance because as I’ve learned they rule everything! And that also interacts with the high cortisol. Do you feel like you get stressed alot? Am I right in thinking you’re adhd? I am too :) and I know I struggle to manage my stress levels. From a distance you seem to take care of your emotional health well but if you are adhd I know that maybe always be the case. If you are adhd - look into adhd coaching too. Good luck lovely and just to say as an older gal - you’re my inspiration and I think you always look fab ❤

Coming from a fitness qualification i always think hormones are the biggest role player in weight factors stress too but the female body hormones fluctuate a lot and the wrong imbalance can stall any results you're hoping for and again switch up what you're trying just dont do a sudden calorie drop as so many times i had girls do that and they end up so sad and takes longer to restore metabolism and hormone balance i hope this helps! 💖 I also agree the weather has been absolutely bonkers 😂😅

I feel you jess, fitness is so difficult to nail. There is a million and one opinions. I think you look fab. Thr thing that works for me and a lot.of the gym girlie's is following an online plan for progressive overload and getting some creatine. Only about 5g a day and it just gives your cells a boost ans enables them to push a bit harder.
Don't be hard on yourself though. I think you look fab. Xxxx

Have you tried to mix up your workout routine a bit?? I joined a high intensity fitness class gym (orange theory) and it has been the literal only thing that has changed my body. I never saw results by just going to the gym and was always so frustrated just like you.

Hi Jess. In preparation of turning 30 in 2024, I decided in 2023 I would finally ask my doctor for help figuring out what was going on with my weight. Between 2020-23 I had hit way past my heaviest weight I’d been in over 10 yrs, plus 30 more pounds . In 2022 my doctor and I had talked about ways to help me with losing weight. I’d cut things out of my diet like desserts, breads. I had a lack of appetite and only ate when I was hungry and did moderately exercise, but the weight would not budge at all and all of my blood tests, including cortisone and thyroid were all good, which I’d had monitored throughout each year this was occurring.
My doctor let me know that because I’d been an intermittent faster for my whole adult life, she’d end up seeing women mess up the body’s signals for my metabolism to work when I ate, because it’s learned to reserve the energy (fat) in preparation of not knowing when I’d eat next. We both agreed to help prevent any health risks long term from such a heavy weight for me to go on a medicine for short term (no not ozempic lol) and check in every few months to check my progression. A year later and in time for my 30th birthday in January this year, I lost 50 pounds, which some months a lot of progress was made and other months only a few pounds. But the biggest thing my doctor stressed was that to help keep the weight off long term was the lifestyle changes I had to make, and learning to eat not just a snack when I’m hungry, but eating 3 meals that are still healthy and fulfilling, drinking water and still maintaining my moderate exercise. But the hardest part of the journey truly was my lifestyle, especially when I didn’t think it was causing me to gain weight and learning how to ask for help to start. Which I’m thankful I asked my doctor and she listened. I hope you get the answers you need to get you to your goals.
