I’ve should have known.
In the book, Larys tortured Blood for almost 2 weeks and Cheese was never found.
Dang! 2 weeks!? Well deserved! He should have did one more week. 2 weeks is mercy! Who does that to a baby. 🤬

In the main series, Cole is remembered differently:

Loras: The heroes will always be remembered. The best.
Jaime: The best and the worst. And a few who were a bit of both. Like him.

Jaime: They belonged to Criston Cole, who served the first Viserys and the second Aegon. They called him Kingmaker.
The show chose to diminish his role. It makes sense to have a wartime consigliere.
Cole is still Kingsguard. He is just also now Hand. He isn't the first to hold both roles at once.
In many ways I still feel bad for Cole. And other ways he piss me off.

Ser Erryk was a real one and it broke my heart that he felt guilty for killing his twin brother who I also felt bad for😢 I hate Criston sm and Otto was funny asf but that’s what he gets for causing all of this mess in the first place….felt so bad for my helaena who really wanted someone to console her but her mother, brother- husband and majority of everyone doesn’t support her nor listen to her so it’s not surprising but it’s still sad, the greens were delusional thinking they were untouchable after everything that’s happened so far and didn’t think about the repercussions in general like come on, aegon talking about he declares war when it already started a long time ago the moment you were forced to be crowned by your mom and grandfather! But man this episode was intense and rhaernya was the only one who actually seemed to care about her sister helaena and can you talk about a scene between her and daemon was so good!!!!!! But I do sort of get his side too because daemon always wanted more than anything was to seeks visery’s attention and acknowledge sort of like Rhaenrya who was always passed up half of her life because she was never a boy in her father eyes until it killed her mother, all daemon ever wanted was to keep the Targaryen strength going while viserys just sort of plungers it to the ground because he couldn’t make the good decision and relied on the main ones who was trying to tear his family apart aka otto and honestly it wouldn’t put it past me that viserys could’ve been jealous of daemon since he was a warrior , dragon rider , praised, feared , loved by small folk , created the gold cloaks are still loyal to him like true a Targaryen while visery’s didn’t have any of the qualities which is nothing wrong with that either but in this world we all know how that goes since everyone saw him as weak and easy to pushover sadly, but rhaenrya is also right too because daemon is rogue will always does what he wants so yeah it makes since why viserys didn’t trust him and not keep him as heir but never in doubt i do think he goes hard for his family especially his brother who he supported all those years even tho viserys would banish him rather than finding away to fixed what he messed up or keep him close by his side instead of listening to otto who easily got in his ear all the time to stay in power but again i do think Dameon loves family but has a funny way of showing it sometimes in my opinion lol but Rhaenrya can’t even catch a break and is probably paranoid like a mf after the assignation attempt and she lost her loyal gaurd who has more honor than crispy Cole who truly irks my soul cause he literally sent the other twin on suicide mission because he’s projecting his gult of being the absolute worst kings guard! I can’t wait to see him go and it’s not surprising that alicent couldn’t even comfort none her children who really needed a mother figure and then she goes to bang Crusty cole while her son is hurting like damn but this is what generational trauma looks like which is why the green side is so messed up and they don’t see each other as family but pawns to their own political gain, finally they mention alicent’s and visery’s fourth son daeron!🔥🔥🔥😭
Whoa! Love this. Viserys had more flaws than I could count. As the books said “good man do make good kings” (fyi: I’ve never read the books, just knows that line from it). It sucks the only innocent person in the show, Helena and her son, was the victims of everyone else dumb decision. Just like they keep saying in this show, the innocent is the ones who suffers. ☠️
Damn man Erryk killed his brother only to kill himself RIP.

While I greatly enjoyed ottos dialogue and I don’t think he’s necessarily wrong, he’s also a hypocrite, because did he not just a few episodes ago hang Lords in the red keep for all to see and also suggest that a kingsguard go to dragonstone to kill a pregnant Rhaenyra? So cristons plan, while impulsive and born from his own deep personal guilt, would’ve worked if mysaria hadn’t snitched. If aegon isn’t prepared to be king, well then who’s fault is that? His neglectful father, his neglectful mother, and his neglectful grandfather. I say all of this as someone that is deeply team green.
Facts! If Mysaria didn’t get set free Rhaernyra would be dead. And yes Otto is indeed a hypocrite, however, even though it’s equally as bad, he didn’t hang the Lord in the streets with the people, he did it inside the castle for only the higher ups can see.

Interesting that fans were so willing to give Daemon the benefit of the doubt but even Rhaenrya saw through his bs.
That’s been puzzling to me too. Why Daemon keeps getting a pass in the show by the fan base. I get he’s a complex character, and like I said, I’m would be glad to have him on my side. However, what he does sometimes is inexcusable.
@@reactuniversity5277 Putting it simply, his character was done dirty by the writer Sara Hess. People who have read the book know what's what, they don't believe this parody of Daemon's character.
I get that everyone hates Cole but Jahaerys didn't die on his watch. He was off duty. Why do you think he wasn't punished?
Was Jamie at fault for Robert's death? He wasn't guarding Robert's and he had an illicit affair with Cersei. He'll, even Selmy who was guarding Robert wasn't at fault.
Good point! I think Cole does himself no favors with the way he handles things. And just like I mentioned in the reaction, he is in a very perilous situation. 😵
Ive been saying this for the longest daemon and Otto r two side of the same coin. They are upset with their kings and queens because neither listen to them, they both want to be in control, and when they not in control they both over step.
The only difference between them is that they use different tools to attack their enemies. Daemon uses the blade and otto has his tongue.
Anyone else notice the parallel with rhaenyra calling out daemon manipulation in this episode like how Alicent confront Otto with his manipulation in episode 9.
Criston plan actually almost worked if the white worm wasn’t there I feel rhaenyra would be dead. I also feel like the writers just want to make criston n alicent look in a bad light with how they r writing these characters.

Nice insight on the similarities of Otto conversations w/ Alicent and Rhaenyra’s with Daemon. I don’t think the writing is making Criston and Alicent look bad. Alicent, in my opinion, is being humanized. She’s been trying to do what’s right and be honorable even though no one around her is doing so. She has human desire too and she gave into them. Rhaernyra on the other hand gave into all her desires without a care. However, her position allowed her to do it. It doesn’t make it right though. Criston on the other hand, is stuck in a rock and a hard place. His honor has been taken from him by to powerful women and he keeps lashing outwards. The way he lashes out, however, pisses me the F off.
@reactuniversity5277 the writers are definitely trying to make the Greens look bad. Alicent and Cole never had sex in the book. There is disagreement about whether he had sex with Rhaenrya. The show made the decision to have Cole break his vows to make him and Alicent look like hypocrites. Conversely Laenor is dead in the book. The show left him alive so people wouldn't hate Rhaenrya for ordering his murder.
@@reactuniversity5277 I didn’t like the end of this episode they make Alicent like a cold mother who can’t comfort her grieving son then her n criston go back to one another after the blood n cheese event which to me makes no sense. They should have ended it with the twin fight.

How was Cole's plan stupid? It almost worked. At least he didn't hire a rat catcher and gave explicit instructions. Cole's plan didn't result in child murder.
He almost got a “W” though. Even though he did it without the kings permission until after. He better be glad Aegon was like “he’ll yeah” hahaha!
