Wow!!! The new Yamaha CP88 & CP73 keyboards sound amazing!! Love the CFX grand and electric piano sounds..very authentic and rich sounding. Can't wait to get my hands on one when they hit the stores.
Now this is a stage piano, Yamaha! The CP4 had great piano and EP sounds, but it was severely lacking in the UI department. This, however, is exactly what I was hoping to see as a successor to the CP4. I think a stage piano should have the capability of being able to modify and change sounds with very little effort, and this definitely does that! This is very reasonably priced as well, especially compared to the Nord pianos. The only thing I’d like to hear more in these demos is a good representation of the how the strings and pads sound by themselves, and when layered with the pianos. Great work guys! I will be buying one.
Wow this is amazing. I just got a Yamaha mx88. Over 1000 voices, it's an amazing Piano for 999$, Keybed is great, sound quality from the Motif awesome, looks like another keyboard I'd gonna be in the works soon. I need this CP88!
Hell yeah! Yamaha woke up finally! I swear for Kronos, but that's the piano I'm going to buy, definitely! Pity, that a 76 version has different keyboard than 88.
Of all the Electric Pianos I have owned Roland, Yamaha, Kurzweil, Kawai, and Korg Keyboards... For me... Yamaha makes the best action feel and acoustic sound hands down!

But it seems Yamaha have woken up and started to listen to their custommers about several features they felt people didn't need from the old Motif line wich plus aditionally new nice features to their Montage/Modx/Genos has finally come available that would propably have made me choose a Montage over a Kronos, if it had been available when the Montage launched. What a sound and wonderfully played in a variety of styles demonstrating the versatility of this fantastic instrument. Maybe I'll find the money for one eventually!
I really love Yamaha digital pianos. I love the feedback you get from even their lower end keyboards. And they aren't pieces of crap that sound good for 4 months then bust a key or two from normal pounding. or worse, have the whole keybed get noisy.
I really enjoy this new philosophy of live performance oriented products! I hope for joystick istead of the wheels for the synth and more memory. It would be also great to have a pre-installed live setting for the master eq to have the instruments ready for a PA system (I've to adjust a lot the settings moving from the studio to the gig). Anyway, Great product!
