Last year, I used the most expensive version of Pitaka on my iphone 13 pro Max 1Tb, after a while of using the edge of the device there were unfortunate scratches. This year, I don't know if it will improve. I love pitaka case and now I have upgraded to 14 pro max. I am still deciding between pitaka and apple holsters. I found last year's most expensive version still had a slight displacement when installed on the machine. Thank you very much…
The Fusion Weaving cases are very pretty, but the MagEZ Case 2 models don’t have any lining to help against scratching, so if you get dirt particles trapped in between the case and the phone, your phone is more likely to get scratched over time. The Pro models (Pitaka MagEZ Case Pro 3) are lined and have a TPU component, so scratches are less likely (but still not impossible).
It is. And the Mous aramid Fibre is more of a fingerprint magnet than the Pitaka aramid fiber. Of course, you also can choose another finish, such as the leather…
Hi is that true? From ChatGPT: a Kevlar case can potentially have an influence on cellular reception for your phone. Kevlar is a strong and durable material often used in protective cases, but it can also interfere with wireless signals, including cellular reception. The extent of the impact will depend on the design and construction of the case, as well as the strength of the cellular signal in your area. In some cases, it may cause a slight reduction in signal strength or affect the phone's ability to receive and transmit signals. If you notice a significant decrease in reception quality, you might consider using a different case or removing the case temporarily to improve signal strength.
I’ve never had any issues with cellular reception with Kevlar cases, or other aramid fiber cases. However, I’ve heard that Carbon Fiber cases can have reception issues like the ones ChatGPT is talking about. I wonder whether ChatGPT is confused between aramid fiber and carbon fiber?
Nice review and content as always but like you said the magnets aren’t as strong this year. I’m still rocking my mag EZ pro 2 as I didn’t up grade my 13pro 🇮🇪😎👏
Hi Mary! Sometimes there are advantages to not upgrading! 😂 Honestly, the cases are still lovely and the magnets aren’t bad by any means…they are Apple standard…but I was seduced by Pitaka’s super strong magnets on the 13 series MagEZ cases.😊
Hi Vic! Really sorry to hear about your phone getting damaged. And you are entirely right...the MagEZ Case 3 is not very drop protective. The MagEZ Case Pro 3 is going to offer a lot more drop protection, but the non pro version is just too thin to offer much protection for drops. It looks and feels great, and will give you protection against scratches and light bumps, but that is it.
Not really. The MagEZ Case 3 definitely doesn't have much resemblance to the RhinoShield SolidSuit...it is much thinner and less protective overall. The MagEZ Case Pro 3 is closer to the RhinoShield SolidSuit, but the new SolidSuit for the 14 series is going to be grippier than the MagEZ Case Pro 3...
Hi George! Definitely wider, but not hugely so. You can see the two cases side by side here: ruclips.net/video/wBVgTeeAiAM/видео.html Also, here's Pitaka spec comparision: www.ipitaka.com/products/magez-case-pro-3-for-iphone-14?variant=40307097698374 Hope this helps!! And best wishes for a wonderful 2023!
@@TheTechReviewer Happy New Year! Would you say the MagEz Pro is the same or wider compared to Apple leather case? Also, i don't care so much for thickness, but instead how wide it is. Because wider cases make for uncomfortable grip. So the Pitaka's spec comparison don't help, because the thickness is not the same across the case. It does not say if the sidewalls are 1.6mm thick or not.
Hi George. Comparing the Apple Leather Case and the MagEZ Case Pro 3 for the 14 Pro Max side by side, the MagEZ Case Pro 3 is slightly wider than the Apple Leather Case. Maybe a millimeter? Not a big difference at all, but definitely slightly wider.
So sorry to hear it! I'm not familiar with the mount you are speaking about, but the MagSafe magnets in this year's cases aren't as strong as those in last year's cases, for sure...
Hi SPTGuy! The magnets on this year’s cases are just the same as on Apple’s cases…they are only weak in comparison to Pitaka’s cases last year…The buttons on the Pro could be better, though… Thanks for watching!!
Hi Maribel! Good question! I use the 14 Pro as my daily driver. The 14 Pro Max is also an outstanding phone, but the size of the 14 Pro is just more convenient for me...fits better into pockets and bags, etc. As a reviewer, I typically get both the Pro and Pro Max sizes each year, and every year I end up using the Pro much more.
@@TheTechReviewer thank you for the feedback. I have the 12 Pro now and am considering going back to the max size for more screen real estate. Find myself missing the bigger size sometimes. Thanks again!
Very good video, thank you
Glad you liked it! Thanks so much for watching, and taking the time to comment 😊

Hi @LeLo! So sorry to hear that you got scratches last year! Which case model was it? The MagEZ Case 2 or the New MagEZ Case Pro?

thank you very much… i will consider Pitaka vs Mous . pitaka is neat and Mous is a bit thicker.

Is MagEZ 3 Pro perfect fit ? Last year, the fitting is not quite perfect, there are some small gaps between case and phone
I think there might be some individual variation from case to case, but my case samples all had a perfect fit.😊

I been following you for a while,I love your video do you have one of these in for a iPhone 14 plus? I would love to try one,but I’m broke
Hi JB! So sorry, but I can't help you out...
I used to own Pitaka case for my iPhone, it's more expensive now
Yeah...I guess prices for everything everywhere are going up. 😢
I do not recommend this if you drop your phone all the time. I dropped mine once and it cracked the glass on the back and camera.

The magez pro 3 case buttons are horrendous this time around.
Hi Chris! I hear you. The Pro buttons are certainly stiffer than I would like!
Do u prefer the pitaka 3 pro or mous limiless 5.0?
I think the Mous Limitless 5.0 is more protective, but the Pitaka MagEZ Case Pro 3 has a great feel in the hand. Both are nice!
@@TheTechReviewer thank u
Happy to help, Moustafa!
Don't purchase this is you have their window mount. They placed weaker magnets and it makes the window wireless charger useless. Falls in the floor.

Thank you, Marty. With "window wireless charger", do you mean the car mount?
Good looking case but... not for me. I'm accident prone :(
Definitely not the case for you, then, Ben!! Sounds like you need something a bit more protective 😊
Yeah the buttons suck and magnets are super weak disappointed with pitaka
