- Today I take a look at Bitcoin.com's "Bitcoin Wallet", which is the top result in the app store newcomers are sure to stumble across.
This wallet deceptively puts Bitcoin Cash front and center - an altcoin which split away from Bitcoin in 2017. Nearly all links, language and buttons in the app encourage you to buy this less used, less secure alternative to Bitcoin, while presenting Bitcoin itself in a way that is both confusing and less attractive.
My suggestions for better alternatives to Bitcoin.com's wallet are as follows:

you should make a new version of this. They have updated their wallet and now both shows a pretty fair side of both including the ability to set fees to 1 sat per byte

Bank of America literally stole 5000 out of my account and then tried to charge overdraft charge. When I addressed the issue they said it was a glitch in the system. It was terrible. Closed my account and never did business with them ever. Crypto currency is here to stay. I love it.

Just like regular banks, axisoption ,com give you up to 4% in interest for bitcoin you hold on their wallet platform.
The difference between the 10 minute block periods on BCH and BTC is that on BCH, transactions are guaranteed to always confirm in the next block. On the BTC network, there are frequently network backlogs and it could take hours for your transaction to be confirmed.
There are many instances where a Bcash tx will not confirm in the next block so there is no "guarantee" this will occur. Bcash txs are indeed typically cheaper onchain to send than BTC but this has more to do with the fact that its unpopular and much less valuable (tx fees are priced in the coin) like most shitcoins . if you want cheaper fees this is why we have solutions like lightning
@@sanisidrocr exactly what I came here to say. Even with technically larger blocks, most BCH miners refuse to mine anything larger than 2mb (if there were that much demand). If BCH were to be on par with Bitcoin price, fees and tx speed would be comparable.

the instant transactions with low fees refers to 0 conf being safe on BCH, unlike BTC.
Hi, how can it make instant transactions when the hush takes 10m to resolve to add a new block (with new transactions)
@@guille3622 it doesn't need confirmations for merchants to accept it, that's how it was on BTC until congestion and the introduction of RBF made it less reliable.. Some may want to wait for confirmation with larger transactions but there has also been further development with double spend proofs as another option to ensure you can trust a transaction soon after broadcast.

Truth be told, now a days there are at least 5 genuine Bitcoin. Bitcoin Core, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Diamond, Bitcoin SV and Bitcoin Cash. They all have the Bitcoin genesis block in common and thus are all Bitcoin.

How does spending unconfirmed transactions pose any risk to the spender? If you were to spend unconfirmed coins, you'd no longer own them, anyway, so you'd have nothing to lose. Like a hot potato, you would have effectively passed the double-spend risk onto a third party.
If you're wanting to maintain a relationship with the merchant or person you paid, it could be an issue.
@@BTCSessions Would it not be the burden of this merchant to refuse unconfirmed coins? Both of you would be victims of the malicious double-spender. If the merchant's coins were to appear and then disappear, the merchant might try to blame you, but would you really be at fault?
In any case, I agree that it would be better to avoid such an ambiguous and awkward situation by never spending unconfirmed coins.
I lost ones money by sending from BTC to BCH and I tried to recover them - impossible. That wallet sacks especially from the beginning
All you had to do was export your seed from the BCH wallet and import it into a BTC wallet, ensuring that you use the correct derivation path.
Yup the wallet is deceptive trash. You may be able to recover your Bitcoin though. Take your backup seed and import it to one of the other wallets I recommend in the video.

Imagine using a service that claimed to allow buying/selling and transferring USD, only to find it defaulted to Mexican Pesos. Is it fixable? In many cases yes. Is it a huge pain in the ass? You bet.
