I think the reasons why tigers fight with two front paws simultaneously is because this maybe a natural way to try to prevent injuries? As for a lion, he uses one paw with three paws on the ground using the mane for a shield for protecting the head, neck and underbelly. ( They will never meet each other anyway. )
