    I bought the cars book because it looks fantastic! I love the idea of repetition to really get the hang of a subject! While I was at it I bought the perspective books, landscape, and fabric folds books. For the next month I am just going to force myself to get perspective, it keeps tripping me up!

    Is it possible to paint from life directly?

      Very possible, of course (:
      Artist do it every day, some exclusively paint from real life

      @@LironYan It’s so different though from photos where you can just match values and colors from one 2D surface to another.

      @@joebeamish Yes! It feels quite different (: You can perceive a lot more of the nuances of the subject.
      Confusing at first, but ultimately I find it is a richer form of painting (which I am too lazy to do regularly, I admit) 😂
