The search continues in new areas. Had a pretty epic day. Caught a lot of fish. Couldn't put them all in this video, its already a 40 minute video lol. Hope y'all enjoy.
I wish more people would use a weigh sling for bigger fish. Glad to see that. We have a homemade one on my boat. Hanging large fish by the jaw with grippers is very hard on them!
Caught some smaller catfish in 2023 out of a small lake on treble hooks and their mouth was sealed shut. I finally figured out I had to push the hook back inwards to get the hook out. I was fishing with some C.J.s Dam bait with a #6 treble hook. Surprisingly I caught a couple 4 or 5 pounders. The second one bent two of the hooks out. I had it netted on the dock talking to the guy who grabbed my net and scooped him up for me and I thought it was still hooked laying on the dock and it went to flopping and I grabbed the line thinking it was still hooked and went into the water! I saved the hook to prove my fish story. I measured the first one at 22” but never weighed it. The man who had helped me net it said the second one looked a little bigger. He asked what I was using at that point. CJ is local here in Okc but he has his baits in Academy Sports and Outdoors and I think he sells it on line on Amazon as well. He has a few different catfish baits. I think he uses cotton for fiber to help keep it on the hook.
Have you ever caught a big fish in your drift socks? It would probably have to have a big head on it or get the side fins stuck, but I was just wondering
Love to try some of my reaper Riggs I think I have something special love your show please let me know just trying to be something in the catfish world thank you so much
Another excellent video. I want to emphasize rogermosberger6856’s comment for the use of weigh slings and give you kudos for using one. I know you do a lot of DIY, did you make yours or purchase it?
Thanks for taking us along!
@@goodcitizen64 thank you for watching.

That was fun, very nice cats. Your video had me feeling cold from the over cast but the sun came out and warmed me up🤣 👍
Lol yeah it warmed me up to but for only like 10 minutes then the wind picked up so it got cold again.
Awsum day of fishing brother. Congrats again on that beast. Enjoyed it👍
Thank you. We gonna have to get together one of these days and do some fishing.
@@mickaburkhart14 hey I’m down with that anytime brother
I was guessing about 50 or 60 lbs on that monster 😂
Talk about sneaking up and taking the bail quietly wow. I never seen him take the pole down! Wow
That burp stick sure works well, those cats sound like my air compressor when I empty it! Great action out there for ya! 🎣🔨
Lol yeah it does. Them fish are deep and alot of them don't burp on the way up so got to help them out.
Great video! We really enjoyed it!
Thank you. I appreciate you watching.
Great show.
Thank you

Great video. Ive anchored fished that area and done pretty good.
@@charlesjones2461 thank you
Man awesome day great job. You keep that you are going to need a 1st mate just throwing it out there and I’m available and cheap 🤪
😆 thank you I will definitely keep you in mind.
Enjoy your enthusiasm. So many catfish youtubers seem like they are working and not enjoying the catch.
Yeah I've noticed that also. I don't know it's fun for me. No matter the size of fish. Thank you for watching.
Looking good
Thank you
Great video! So you are dragging upstream at .2 mph with 6-8oz weights?
Thank you. Yeah upstream but only been having to use 4oz weights. The current hasn't been to fast.
Great video brother
Thank you
awesome
That is a good day of fishing. Do you have a apparel line.
.
Thank you. Yeah I have a few things. Just look up Laid Back Creations and you can see a few things they make for me.
What camera are you using to record with, your video's always looks really clear?
I have the gopro 11.

No never done that. But what a story that would be.
@@mickaburkhart14 I know, right! That would be some high odds, I would think, but wouldn’t that be a story to catch on video!
@@comingtofull-ageinchrist6736 yes absolutely that would be an awesome story.
Wow, that one fish was a pig. Nice video
Thank you
Nothing is a little irritating like having the scale on kilograms 😂😂😂, heck of a day when you put a pig in the boat 💪
Lol I know right. Thank you
How you like those Penn reels? Any issues with them?
Well when I was using the squalls I had a few issues but with these fathoms I haven't had any troubles. So far anyway.
Ever have any luck with line counters on reels?? I've never used them
No I've never used them. I can see where it would come in handy but it ain't that serious lol.
Are dragging against current or with the current? I am never sure how people do it
@@stevemoehlman4754 I drag against the current.
Theres 100ft hole up here on the north end. A lot of 70 plus.

Are they the 20's or 30's??

I would like to invite you up here on the north end
I never dragged bait before
You should give it a shot. It's a great way to locate and catch fish.
Any secrets to getting that slime and fish smell out of your clothes? Lol
Lol alot of wash cycles 😆
