This is by far I think the only actually understandable tutorial for how to make Longhorn's Aero to work on VMware, since it's quite straightforward and you go into detail for everything that is needed to be done! Awesome video as always (also I've always kinda found it weird how they changed the minimize and maximize buttons in Longhorn's Aero theme to up and down buttons, kinda like Windows 2 or 3.X actually)!
@@PCWindowstechguy Thanks so much! I had to do multiple retakes to ensure everything was just right and watchable! Also, yeah, it’s funny the window control buttons are like what they are lol
@@Il_bislungo You are most welcome! I tried my hardest to make it understandable to everyone :) Also make sure you are patient with this build and take looooots of snapshots :) Also, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
Amazing! But I have a question: Does the debombed version work good too for this stuff? Or do we need forcefully to use the normal one without timebomb?
@@minecraftslegacycommunity486 While you can use a debombed version, it’s likely to break important components and therefore Aero will run and instability will be prominent. So, you should just set the date as shown in the video
@@minecraftslegacycommunity486 No problem! Also this build doesn't have a timebomb that stops you from using it, however it expires several months after the install unless you set the date bac.
@@Cristiano-x2v5eNot on this build, no. There’s a default ‘Aero’ theme that can be enabled, though it only features green opaque glass. You can’t even get the full experience without a patched file… As for VBox, there are no drivers supporting Longhorn so it’s just not possible, sorry!
Im having trouble when executing the bat file, it says that the ux file does not exist and then explorer crashes and vm freezes... i did all the steps correctly, even checked the code
At the end i had to create an iso with the code with bat copied directly from descp. and an autorun.inf that executed the file the moment the iso was inserted in the vm. Works but sidebar is broken, i had to restart
@@MSNeptuned yeah, thats what i did. Thanks! It's possible to install, just not enable Aero. 4074 is a special build, being the most stable out of all of them. Regardless, I'll make a video covering this build!
