Thanks for sharing your collection. Showing your collection "as is" let's the newbies know that you don't have to have all the fancy furniture, etc in order to enjoy what you have.
Loved seeing your setup. I totally agree about the Modern Renaissance palette, I haven't stopped using it since I purchased it back in November which says a lot for me because I usually stop using palettes after a couple of months but I'm still loving it. :)
KingStimp I only got mine at Christmas, but I forced myself to reach past it today and use my sweet peach palette that hasn't been touched since summer.
I love that you use an antique desk for your makeup storage. I think that having a smaller, loved selection makes using your makeup a special ritual in the morning as you are not so distracted by so many products. Happy New Year to you as well!
Yep eyeshadow and lipstick hoarder here :D and everything else is like 1 foundation, 1 concealer, 1 setting powder... Managed to put under control eyeshadows but lipsticks... OMG
You DO have a beautiful collection! I love watching "smaller" make up collections versus the people who have collections large enough to last them several lifetimes (:
You give everyone a realistic view! People who buy just to waste space are dumb I had the multicolor stand full of makeup like 100 lip liners & 20 foundations that expired before I got to them, thanks for being & staying so real girl we appreciate it :)
it's really good to see a collection set up that has personality! sick.of seeing Malm dressing table.with Alex drawers and those plant pots ! so lovely of u to share xxx
I love the secretary's desk as a vanity! I've been trying to pare down my makeup collection and your videos have really helped inspire me and keep me motivated.
Love it! Beautiful! I would LOVE TO SEE A BRUSH COLLECTION. Just seeing what brushes you have in your collection , your faves what you've kept ... etc. PRETTY PLEASE ! 😬😬😬
You've motivated me to organize my makeup collection!!! I have a case but it's so bulky and I hate getting into and end up neglecting the makeup in it. I'm going to get some of those clear drawers instead...
I love your makeup collection! I recently became a subscriber after looking for some decluttering inspiration. I had so much makeup, and i wasn't even using half of it. I am in the process of trying to downsize to products I love and will use regularly. No one needs those Alex Drawers full of stuff! Love your videos and that you keep things real :)
Very satisfying to watch. I will try my best to finish my current massive collection and also try to gift items to family and friends that I haven't used!
Yay I'm so excited you posted this video before I go to work today! Lol! What an amazingly beautiful makeup collection! I'm trying so hard to declutter my collection this year!
Finally--a realistic makeup collection! I must admit, I probably have maybe 15 to 20 more items than you but still I prefer watching a makeup collection like this one to ones where people have 2 alex drawers full of products they NEVER touch! Thank you so much for being such a genuine down-to-earth person and youtuber. It's always enjoyable to watch your videos. My goal is to bring my collection down closer to yours. I have put myself on a no buy for January, and there are maybe 2 products I probably want when February comes, but they aren't high end so it's not as expensive. Such an inspiration!
Well thank you. I'd like to downsize ever further, especially in certain areas. Like color products, foundations. Having a lot to keep up with and clean is overwhelming to me, not enjoyable.
so glad that you showed your collection especially because of the fact that it looks so authentic. at some point i got sick of seeing the malm series in these videos. sure, if you like a malm desk, go for it - but i personally just don't get it why they are so great. i like furniture with a story or "soul".
I love your collection so much! I love that fact every product you own actually gets used! That is my goal, enough to try out different things regularly but also not so much that products get wasted. I looove your mega pro palette thats what palettes should look like when they are well loved.
first time viewer here. I have a small make up collection and was looking for a small beauty table for months. last week I bought a vintage secretary's desk and put my make up in it...... I LOVE IT!!!
This is so refreshing to see. A makeup collection that can actually be used rather than entire collections of every single brand thats stored away in the hideous white draws. Do they know makeup actually has an expiration date! Im an aspiring makeup artist and my kit is small as well as my personal makeup collection. Its also filled with majority lowend products, my channel is hopefully to teach people that lowend makeup can achieve excellent results just like highend. Ive subbed to you xoxo Keep smiling xx
It's nice to see a makeup collection that I can relate too. So many of those girls are literally just dumping thousands of dollars into makeup that'll spoil because its impossible to use all of that.
Hi! I don't know if you'll see this since this video is almost a year old, but I just subscribed to you after watching your Golden State of Mind review video. But this video sold me! You are so down to earth and this collection reminds me of my own. It's cute, simple, and contains everything you need. It's refreshing not to see Ikea Alex drawers and an excessive makeup collection. You are so relatable and helpful! xx
Good question. My guess would be because Ikea furniture is pretty affordable and accessible. I will tell you this much, the Secretary where my makeup is stored is nearly 100 years old. It was my great-grandmother's. I'd like to see some Ikea furniture last that long. lol.
This is a very respectable collection. I'm pretty sure I have more than you and I dont make videos or have any sort of beauty related social media presence. YIKES! the problem I'm having is that i've been buying eye palettes, even tho I'm not a huge eye shadow person. My eye shadow game is so weak, im trying tho. My true weaknesses are lip products and blushes. holy crap, i have too many of both and i still want more. I was like $70 away from becoming VIB rouge last year and im both angry that i spent that much on cosmetics, AND the fact that I didn't hit the 1k mark with sephora. I need to cut back, i'll start with drugstore, i think. oh god, don't get me started on how many deluxe and regular sized samples i need to get through. Thanks for the perspective, and positive attitude!
I love your collection. I am also over the Ikea Alex drawers. It is boring seeing everyone with the same thing. I love seeing original layouts. Mine is just plastic pull out drawers from Target. I love them and it works. Simple is better! Love your channel!
Girl I LOVE how personal your area is! It is so sweet and way better than a clone makeup vanity! I think you have a great collection of all 'good' stuff. There isn't any random crap! Could you use the it cosmetics brush in a video? I have never heard of it and I am super curious.
Thank you. I had planned on using it in a foundation friday w/ the celebration illumination foundation. But the foundation is too dark for me in the winter, I'll have to wait till spring to use it. :(
I really love watching your videos. You seem like such a genuine person and this video proves that. Would be nice to know you in person n have a nice chat about makeup haha
Love your collection! Its very reasonable. I recently started downsizing mine and I'm almost trying to pan/used up some of my products, hope to get down to a similar sized collection ✨
I love your set-up! I don't have the typical RUclipsr set-up either. I have white plastic Walmart drawers hahaha. You have such a beautiful collection! :)
I like your setup! Everyone has IKEA everything. It's getting old lol. Mine is a vintage wooden vanity where the middle part lifts up to a mirror. It's chipping a bit, and could definitely use a redo, but it works for now. Wish they made good quality furniture like they used to. And I only have one of those 3 drawer clear boxes and a clear cube to hold my makeup.
My two favorite primers at the moment are the hourglass mineral veil and the cover fx mattifying primer with anti-blemish treatment. I really want to try the new milk makeup blur stick though, it's suppose to be good for oily skin. But I have to finish what I have first...
Thank you for showing your collection! It's nice to see not every RUclipsr has a full room dedicated to their makeup. It gets tiring to see yet another Alex 9 drawer full to the brim as you noted. Even if it is their job to use and review makeup, I think it can put the wrong message out there to us non-RUclipsrs to buy and collect. My current collection is about your size, and I plan to halve it this year as I don't wear enough makeup everyday to go through many things before they expire.
Could not agree more. Pretty soon viewers start believing they need that much too, that an extreme amount of consumption/buying is normal. Half the stuff a big youtuber has is sent PR. They aren't gonna go into debt to acquire that makeup like a non-YT'er would.
Happy birthday!🎉 Hope you have an amazing birthday with whoever you are going to celebrate and every single wish of yours throughout the year comes true!
hey sweetie!!! love your collection thanks for sharing!!! :) i can call myself a minimalist at least for make up but i still have lots of eye pencils i need to use up! ill follow your make up basket idea! :) xxx
finally someone that doesn't have the ikea drawers... very realistic. thank you so much for sharing. I love your top shelf of family mementos, that's just the best and pure money in the bank. where did you get your clear makeup storage unit? I love it. Cheers.
Which one? The 3 drawers are at Amazon or Bed, Bath, & Beyond. The old 3 drawers on the bottom shelf I couldn't tell you. I think they're about 15 years old. lol. And the palette holder I got from work when a client was liquidating stock. It's a display unit for store shelves.
I was thinking the 3 drawers at the bottom of the shelf and the palette holder but dang it .... I guess I'll keep searching for a solution. thank you for answering my question. Cheers!
wow i expected your collection to be much larger! for christmas, a family member gave me a set of those clear plastic storage that you have, i wonder if they are hinting my makeup stash shouldnt be bigger than that haha. i am quite ashamed at the number of foundations/cushions/bb creams i own, especially when you seem perturbed by the amount you own. having a makeup basket/drawer really makes it much easier to use things up, although sometime i end up taking a little longer to use more shadows or contour/highlight because i want to finish them
Stila was recently peta certified and is cruelty free again. I got exited when I found out and got two of their liquid lips. They're one of my favorite too!
My favorite face primer is the Hard candy sheer envy ultra light primer. Its so silky smooth, makes your makeup last, and controls oil. Cruelty free and cheap too. $8 at Walmart.
I actually just tried that funny enough. Did it seem a little drying on you? My skin is like super dry at the moment for some reason though. So it could have just been me, or the winter, etc.
You may want to try the No7 Stay Perfect Primer, if you can get it in the US. It's Boots own brand which I believe is cruelty free. Also, I think your collection is great, it's nicely stored and you have products which you genuinely use. A lot more enjoyable to listen to someone talk about products they use rather than products they have just so they say they have them
Hi, I'm focusing on only buying single shadows this year too (: instead of buying whole palettes. Luckily I love Makeup Geek shadows a lot. I did break my rule recently though and bought The Balm's 'Meet Matte-trimony' palette and it's my all-time favourite now. No regrets. Thanks so much for this video, I really enjoyed it. Cheers.
omg this is small... I have so much makeup and you are right... we struggle to finish products that's why yesterday I did a project pan and I'm going to try not to buy makeup this year.
your collection is beautiful! I actually dislike those white ikea drawers, they are so monotonous and unoriginal. Plus, you can't see through them to what you have and are too big and thus invite hoarding! the dog plushie is soo cute and does look like your dog haha xoxoxo thanks so much for sharing!
I know right. I think they are both absolutely beautiful, and I've come very close to buying them both in the past. But I've always told myself I didn't need them at the moment.
Koi Pond Creature that palette is soooo good, the eyeshadows are pigmented, bendable, and the colors are all perfect, you can even contour your face with it, use the big rosy shade as blush, so versatile, love it. But I guess that if you already own a neutral palette then you don't need it.
I'm guilty of having the Alex 9 drawers granted they aren't full of makeup (about half). But I definitely have decided to cut down on buying makeup this year. (Eyeshadows and blushes are my absolute weakness) but too faced hangover rx is a really good primer!
You could pray paint the beauty blender cup if you want it to look nicer:) love your collection, mine has went down so much I only need my perfect nude lipstick which is hard to find, before I went cruelty free L'Oréal fairest nude was my favorite, but finding a dupe is hard.
Jacquelyn Lovene the color is just perfect for me, I don't own a regular lipstick now(I did keep the last couple swipes in my purse to compare when I go out to find the perfect one lol) is the kevan sculpting powder cruelty free? When I checked it didn't say it was(I hope it is I really want it, I only own the TF chocolate bronzer).
I like her set up too. And you know what, normally I would think such a massive collection and spending is a bit materialistic or gluttonous. But I know that she has a full life outside of makeup and youtube. It's just her hobby. You know what I mean by that?
Jacquelyn Lovene I watch her videos and I do often think why she spends so much but that's none of my business. I used to want to have a big collection but now I just want to get rid of everything. Im considering moving to Texas so I can afford to buy a home. California prices are just ridiculous.
Love your collection!! I just bought the new UD deslick complexion primer in the mattifying & pore minimizing one and I'm hoping it works well for me. Maybe you could check that one out too! Primers, foundations and powders are my weakness. I have WAY too many of them. One of the many reasons I love your channel is because you don't shove new products down our throats every minute. I love that you use what you love & love what you use. One day I hope to have my collection look like yours. xoxo
I swatched the mattifying one in store the other day. It looked really nice. I might get a sample if I see one. I struggle with matte primers, my skin is oily but I have dry patches. So if it's too drying it will cling to them, etc. But that one looked nice.
+Jacquelyn Lovene yes I have dry patches too but just in the winter time. I have to moisturize really well every morning in the winter or my foundation will look so cakey
where I downfall in my makeup collection are highlighters and lipsticks. I don't wear any eye makeup only for special occasions (only because I'm lazy in the morning) but I have the moonchild palette but the kvd alchemist is calling my name!!!!
my fave primer is korres pomegranate. it helps mattify and blur pores. im allergic to silicone and have huge pores so normal pore fillers dont work but indo love that primer.
I've been trying to hunt down an "old" secretary's desk for my vanity and you'd think it'd be easy in Austin but everyone wants $200+ for it. Your collection is perfect! You've inspired me to use up my NON cruelty-free products and if I "need" to buy something, I make sure it's cruelty-free or else it's a no deal. :) Oh! you mentioned Stila isn't cruelty-free but their instagram bio says otherwise?? Have you heard if they recently made the change or is it a false claim?🤔
Yeah recently I heard that they were pulling out of China, but I didn't really hear anything else after that. I'm gonna look around on some blogs to see if I can find conclusive information. They don't appear to be on the Sephora China website. But I just don't know enough either way to say a definitive answer. And good luck with your search, it's probably gonna be one of those where you get lucky and find something at a thrift store, etc. Austin has some great antique stores but yeah they ain't cheap. This is was my great-grandmother's, I believe it's between 80-100 years old.
I've been felling like buying singles too. But I don't think that I will put them into a Z-palette. I prefer single package or something more sturdy at least. I tried depotting and Z-palette once and hated.
I'm tired of seeing so many of those white ikea dressers, it's refreshing to see someone with a set up like mine!
Thanks. I do like that it's not basic. lol.
I LOVE your collection!! It really is a "realistic" makeup collection. And it's so nice to see something different than the beauty guru norm.
Thanks hun. :)
Goals!!!!! I hope I can get here someday. I'd rather see makeup in an antique piece of furniture than an Alex series 9 drawer any day.
I love how much more personal your collection is rather than the huge white ikea drawers full of stuff! looks fab!
Thanks for sharing your collection. Showing your collection "as is" let's the newbies know that you don't have to have all the fancy furniture, etc in order to enjoy what you have.
I would not want a collection that needs to be stored in a Alex 9 drawers. I prefer a small collection that I can store on a nice vintage vanity. ✌🏼️
Sandy Fox same.
Mine is almost fitting into a shoe box ( not really shoe box, but the same size anyways). I'm very proud of it. I downsized a lot.
This is my TOTAL ideal size!! I have a slightly larger collection and I would like to use up products to have this amount. So inspiring!
I agree with you 100% on UD "Fetish" it's the absolute BEST blush!!!
Kelly Gooch that's on my list now thanks
I'm addicted to these videos.
I've been using both equally. :)
I bet I will be after this morning. I was like, "Oh, look at you and all your blendy goodness!" I was in LOVE with my look this morning.
***** I just subbed to your channel! ❤
Especially for a high school student like myself it's great to see a youtuber have a practical amount of makeup!
I also have my collection on my antique vanity In one type of those clear drawer sets
I love that you use an antique desk for your makeup storage. I think that having a smaller, loved selection makes using your makeup a special ritual in the morning as you are not so distracted by so many products. Happy New Year to you as well!
And then there are those of us who are both an eyeshadow an a lip person 🙈
Lol. ;)
Ane Cathrine Løgstrup Christensen 💸💸💸💸 😂😢😭😭
Ane Cathrine Løgstrup Christensen yess!! my lippy collection outdoes my eyeshadow palettes AND singles! 🙈🙈
Yep eyeshadow and lipstick hoarder here :D and everything else is like 1 foundation, 1 concealer, 1 setting powder... Managed to put under control eyeshadows but lipsticks... OMG
Like me

I need to record my collection and set up too. To show ladies that we don't need Alex drawers and ikea desks. Being a unique individual is best.
it's really good to see a collection set up that has personality! sick.of seeing Malm dressing table.with Alex drawers and those plant pots ! so lovely of u to share xxx

Yay!! I was so excited to see this in my feed! We have such similar makeup tastes, I love to see your favorites!
I would love to see your favorite brushes!! xoxo
Yeah that's something I can probably do here soon.
so glad that you showed your collection especially because of the fact that it looks so authentic. at some point i got sick of seeing the malm series in these videos. sure, if you like a malm desk, go for it - but i personally just don't get it why they are so great. i like furniture with a story or "soul".
Love the idea of sharing your makeup collection uniquely organized and a "realistic" amount/set up!

I watched this and then went and decluttered 7 palettes. It's a process and I'm chipping away at my stash and finding what I love.
Good job girl. It took me a long time to part with that many. But there were so many dupes when I really sat down and swatched them.
Jacquelyn Lovene Oh there are still dupes, but I tell myself as long as I'm moving towards my goal progress is progress.
It's nice to see a makeup collection that I can relate too. So many of those girls are literally just dumping thousands of dollars into makeup that'll spoil because its impossible to use all of that.
I picked up the Pink Leopard blush because of you and ohhhh my god it's beautiful! I can't stop looking at it and using it!
Oh good I'm glad it works for you. I would feel so awful if someone bought an item bc of me and it didn't work for them.
I had swatched it in Sephora and it didn't look like much, but as soon as I bought it home and put it on my cheeks I fell in love!
Love your collection and your storage. So beautiful! And yes, completely realistic :)
Hi! I don't know if you'll see this since this video is almost a year old, but I just subscribed to you after watching your Golden State of Mind review video. But this video sold me! How did the Alex drawers became the 'standard'. Was Ikea sponsoring people? Love your collection! The dark wood sets off the products nicely x
Good question. My guess would be because Ikea furniture is pretty affordable and accessible. I will tell you this much, the Secretary where my makeup is stored is nearly 100 years old. It was my great-grandmother's. I'd like to see some Ikea furniture last that long. lol.
Jacquelyn Lovene That is very true! A lot of my Ikea stuff breaks within a few years!
Everytime I see that you've uploaded a new video I'm so exited 🎉❤️
Aww thanks.

pumpkinspice84 do a makeup collection! I'll watch
Really nice collection! I really like the elf blemish control primer.
I've been looking forward to seeing your collection video! I'm glad you're happy with the size of it now; good luck on your panning progress! 😄
Thank you. :)
Girl I LOVE how personal your area is! It is so sweet and way better than a clone makeup vanity! I think you have a great collection of all 'good' stuff. There isn't any random crap! Could you use the it cosmetics brush in a video? I have never heard of it and I am super curious.

Perfectly sized collection! Love it!
I really love watching your videos. You seem like such a genuine person and this video proves that. Would be nice to know you in person n have a nice chat about makeup haha
you have such a nice and well organized collection. also the too faced primed and poreless is a great primer.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I wish I was born with the organizational gene, my makeup is all over the place. And I don't even have as much as you. You have a lovely setup here!:)
I like how minimalistic and organized you are. I'd definitely try to use up every piece of makeup that I have too :)
Great collection ! It's great to see that we can use up or get rid of stuff we dont use or need and be ok with it
Thanks for sharing
Lety
Umm so I just realized I've been unsubscribed to your channel. WTF? Wow. Thank you though, glad you commented so I could catch that.
Jacquelyn Lovene I've had that happened to like 4 of my channels including yours once.
A special treat in the morning on the first day of a new semester. You have a lovely collection :)
Good luck Jacq! Study hard my name buddy!
Jacquelyn Lovene Thanks! Good luck to you too! :)
Love your collection! Its very reasonable. I recently started downsizing mine and I'm almost trying to pan/used up some of my products, hope to get down to a similar sized collection ✨
Amazing collection!!
I love your set-up! I don't have the typical RUclipsr set-up either. I have white plastic Walmart drawers hahaha. You have such a beautiful collection! :)
your "storage" area is stunning. a+
I loved how you filmed and edited this! Great collection of makeup; you have a lovely amount and use the space you have well. :)
Thanks babe.
Jacquelyn Lovene Welcomes!

I love your collection! Hope mine is as concise and perfect for me by the end of 2017. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up the lorac mega pro
I still have so much regret over not getting the LORAC Mega Pro #1. The one that got away.... /sobs dramatically
Thank you for showing your collection! It's nice to see not every RUclipsr has a full room dedicated to their makeup. It gets tiring to see yet another Alex 9 drawer full to the brim as you noted. Thank you veru much! :)
hey sweetie!!! love your collection thanks for sharing!!! :) i can call myself a minimalist at least for make up but i still have lots of eye pencils i need to use up! ill follow your make up basket idea! :) xxx
Yeah I have too much to comfortably call myself minimalist. But the ideas and values are definitely something I try implementing into my daily life.

I've seen very similar if not the same of the bottom shelf 3 drawers if you search on Amazon.
@ Chris tyra thank you
Fetish is my favorite blush ever too!!!!

A lot more enjoyable to listen to someone talk about products they use rather than products they have just so they say they have them
JustAGirlThatLikesMakeup
I think they sell Boots no.7 in US Target stores.
Beautifully organized and curated collection!
Thank you. :)
Hi,
I'm focusing on only buying single shadows this year too (: instead of buying whole palettes. Luckily I love Makeup Geek shadows a lot.
I did break my rule recently though and bought The Balm's 'Meet Matte-trimony' palette and it's my all-time favourite now. No regrets.
Thanks so much for this video, I really enjoyed it. Cheers.
Girl I envy you for having the too Faced blush . I wanted it for so long but I'm broke hahaha so... nice collection!!
You should try the Bye Bye Pores primer from It Cosmetics! SO good!
omg this is small... I have so much makeup and you are right... we struggle to finish products that's why yesterday I did a project pan and I'm going to try not to buy makeup this year.
love your collection !!
Hi Jacquelyne ! Loved this video. I was also wondering what was on your nails in this video? Thank you so much!
I also believe you forgot to mention a Wet n Wild item in the back of the first drawer...? Am I crazy? 😂
No I lost the video footage, don't really have anything to say about it anyway. lol. And it's OPI chiffon my mind. I've had it for years.
"I hate when it gets dirty, it pisses me off" 😂exactly how I feel with my modern renaissance palette too
your collection is beautiful! I actually dislike those white ikea drawers, they are so monotonous and unoriginal. Plus, you can't see through them to what you have and are too big and thus invite hoarding! the dog plushie is soo cute and does look like your dog haha xoxoxo thanks so much for sharing!
you are my new favorite youtuber :)
It was great meeting you yesterday! Great channel too!
Love it ❤️❤️
What was that palette you got as a stocking stuffer.
One of those W7 dupes. It was pretty good quality for how dirt cheap they are.
No Kat Von D Shade + Light eye palette? I would love to hear your opinion on that. They also changed that cardboard packaging.
I love where you do your makeup 😍 it's so cute. xo
You could pray paint the beauty blender cup if you want it to look nicer:) love your collection, mine has went down so much I only need my perfect nude lipstick which is hard to find, before I went cruelty free L'Oréal fairest nude was my favorite, but finding a dupe is hard.
I used to love Jennifer's nude from L'Oreal as well. If I think of any I'll let you know. I believe Essence has some nudes...
Yeah I'm an eyeshadow palette and lip person, who happens to really love foundations too 😂 im working on it lol
I do love a good foundation too.
would love to see ur brushes
Danielle James
yes, please do a brush video.
You have a great collection!
Loved your video, really did enjoined it❤️
I really love tarababyz metal tool boxes as storage. my collection is still nasty and overwhelming.
I really like hard candy primers!
Great video! Can you please make a tutorial on how to depot eyeshadows. I have tried and failed so many times :S
where I downfall in my makeup collection are highlighters and lipsticks.
Im working on minimizing my collection!!! you inspire me!
For cruelty primers l like the too faced hangover rx primer and the wet n wild cover all primer
I LOVED the hangover rx, such a great primer. I think it broke me out tho. :,(
