I found that if you are a necromage vampire, dual flurry speed is also increased, so you can swing faster when using dual wield as a necromage vampire.
@Jimboola - check out my other vampire videos in my vampire playlist. the easiest trick is to tell your follower 'i need you to do something' and then have them lay down on any bed in a dungeon, bedroll, or at your house. no reason to hit stage 4 with a follower, ever.
It only affects items that you have equipped, but because of that you're able to make more powerful enchants with the Alchemy/Enchanting loop (which has a limit, unlike the Fortify Restoration exploit). One more thing to consider is that many Enchants simply do not work for followers. For details, refer to the Enchanted Follower Equipment section on the Skyrim:Followers page on the uesp wiki.
If you're asking if necromage vamps still work, then the answer is yes. Also, you can still get 100% spell immunity IF you get the Atronach perk (after getting Necromage and becoming a vampire) and have the Atronach Stone active. The only drawback is that it blocks all of your summoning spells from Conjuration as well (but stuff like Soul Trap still works fine).
@Leto85 - correct. every time you feed on a sleeping NPC, you are reset to level 1. the easy method for this instead of trying to break into homes is just keep a follower with you. tell them 'i need you to do something' and interact with a bed or bedroll then feed on them.
Sunlight debuff to regen is set to -100 points to counteract your inherent 100 points. Meaning any additional points on regen will provide you a regeneration at that rate.
@milkychipz - i think the helmet stacking is a glitch but necromage does exactly what it says it will. since you're a vampire, you are undead, and this perk makes spells more effective against the undead. while it feels shady, it really isn't a bug. 2 helmets & 3 helmets are, though.
Ahh nostalgia, I wish youtube hadn't stuffed you over the way they did. You had the potential to easily become a massive name on RUclips and regardless your content was unmatched. I miss you pms00 and I hope you're doing great to this day
Also, about half of the perks that don't have 5/5 ranks are boosted by Necromage IF you take them AFTER you take Necromage and become a vampire. This isn't covered in the video, just google "perks affected by necromage as a vampire" and it should be the first result on gamefaqs.
To feed, I just fast travel to the Alchemist's Shack before I do anything. It has the bonus of having storage (end table w/ the journal on it does not respawn).
That is where enchanting and alchemy come in. I got a lot of good regeneration by just adding 'health regeneration' and 'fire resistance' on items. Brewing Health regenerating, stamina regenerating and magicka regenerating potions can also help. Being an Argonian, you can use 'Histskin' to regenerate health very quickly. Same with Redguards; 'Adrenaline Rush' to regenerate stamina. I have not tried Argonian or Redguard vampires, just khajiit, so it's theory for the racial powers. Works anytime.
Magic resist like armor is capped at 80% mitigation. You can have a 700ish armor rating which meets the cap or a 20,000 armor rating and its still only stopping 80% of damage.
it still works. and i think it always will. this is something good. and they've only been fixing bugs that everyone hates. such as quest conflict glitches. they've kept the oghma infinium glitch, the mannequin cloning armor glitch, and the restoration glitch. they havent nerfed anything. so this will stay. i think.
Fortify Stamina regeneration, Shadowmere for traveling in daylight, the 25% increase in every enhancement is too great to be compare with what a few stamina potions or 2-slots of enhancement to be argue about. Even the enchanted fortify regeneration is increased when equipped, not to mention the fortify enchanting potions is increased as well, and stamina potions effect increase as well, and all u need is just 2 perks of investment
7:24 “the minor annoyance of having to feed on a follower every few days does not outweigh the benefits.” This is a Role-playing game. So yeah, eating your follower is kind of a big deal. Lol
@voipification - you can't be both. one or the other. when you get werewolf, you are immune to vampire & when you are a vampire and become a werewolf, your vampirism is cured.
@pms00 Oh, I will. When I'm done max leveling Restoration to get the Necromage benefit I will make my character a vampire. What did you mean with preventing changing the levels? A vampire can be at level 1 for as long as I like? If NPC's won't attack level 1 vampires I might concider it a permanent change.
The benefits of becoming a necromage vampire are very cool. And just for upgrading your gear alone I would try it (for a while). But the thing that still bugs me is that at level 4 vampire it is very hard to get and do quests as all npc's will attack you on sight. There isn't anything to do to this, except for curing the vampirsm?
The way the code is ALL keyworded makes Skyrim operate like reality. All effects are shared, all effects effect all effects Nothing is an island, nothing works "just on itself." Yes, it's lazy coding, but it's side effect is cannon, and I will personally make a mod to fix it if that isn't carried over to ES6 I do wonder why the effects are dynamic, but the descriptions aren't.
Do u have a video on the werewolf abilities? And do u have one on the shrines? If not those would be very helpful. Thank you for these videos, their very helpful and loving the commentary.
I know it may be kind of late for this video but are you going to make a video about vampire abilities, perks and builds available in the Dawnguard dlc?
if u have dawnguard then feeding is no longer a problem for necromage vampires, am i right? cause no one attacks u even if u are stage 4 vapirism. Also u can feed at the casttle without the need of killing any important npc.
Archer's can fortify archer dmg in head slots, with falmer + circlet u can get 250% dmg without using alchemy loop, u can basically 1-shot sneak attack an entire camp before they can see u, how is it useless for Archers? i'm a vampire archer myself and it works wander my friend, plus vampire had +25% in sneaking, perfect for sneaking archers
I think the only annoyance of being a Vamp is to keep feeding. Any showing of how to keep fed would be really helpful i think. Not sure what others think.
The Dark Brotherhood will accept you, even as a stage 4 vamp, and when I did the Mercer Frey quest, the two I completed it with accepted me as a stage 4 Vampire as well... I wonder about the Thieves Guild... has anyone tried it?
I have a problem here. I am a vampire but the game don't recognize it because my shouts have the same cooldown, but , enchantments work and blacksmith too. example-- Fire Breath is still 30-50-100 the only way i can reduce this is with Dragon Aspect - Amulet of Talos - Talos blessing.
if I'm not mistaken now if u become a stage 4 vamp(not vamp lord) no 1 attacks u on sight if u have DawnGuard there for no feeding and u can use the aethieral crown for 2 stones(if u really want to). i think if ur a necromage vamp and use the atronach stone and perk u can have 100% magic absorb. perk = 30% stone = 50% total = 80%, 25% of 80% is 20%, 80% + 20% is 100%.
Well now in the new DLC "Dawnguard" you get a special bow that shoots special arrows. If you shoot the sun with it, the sun gets blocked out. Your useless regen effects are back.
it only effect items you have equipped. But with the raised boost you can make better gear and potions and with better potions you can make better enchantments and better enchantments mean better potions which goes back and forth for quit some time and you can create the most broken equipment of all time with this method.
Is vampire+necromage a bug first of all? The unnoficial skyrim patch, fixed it like it was a bug i dont really know if it was intended or it wasnt but i would like to know before i make it. you think bethesta will officialy patch it? i play on pc but i stick only with the official patches and without mods and glitches and w/e
@PHIFan20 - he is useful but he is far too annoying for me, and i put up with cicero and dead thralls groaning for a long time. now that i have the achievement, he is going to die to the axe this go around.
fam2opp2212 no. Plus, if you cure and try to become vampire again necromage will not work since you need to get necromage perk after you become vampire. Unless you legendary resto or use apocrypha to reset the skill tree everything will go back to normal.
i lost focus on what you were saying because when you attack with elemental fury you remind me of dragonball fights where theyre just punching super fast....
Does necromage still work? Some people say it does some say it doesn't. Also if it does still work do I get necromage then get all the perks I want, or get perks first then get necromage?
+Gottem Good Necromage will always work as it works as a game mechanic. As OP as it is, it is a game mechanic. I have a character with Necromage on the Legendary Edition and I can confirm it still works. Itll never be patched as Bethesda stopped updating Skyrim ages ago.
Spell absorption has no cap, magic resistance however is in-fact capped at 85%. That's odd, if you applied the alteration perk after becoming a necromage vampire, you should have full absorption.
this is a feature not a glitch. and i love it
I found that if you are a necromage vampire, dual flurry speed is also increased, so you can swing faster when using dual wield as a necromage vampire.
@Jimboola - check out my other vampire videos in my vampire playlist. the easiest trick is to tell your follower 'i need you to do something' and then have them lay down on any bed in a dungeon, bedroll, or at your house. no reason to hit stage 4 with a follower, ever.
You are probably the most intelligent console player ever. Just imagine how much more effective your testing would be on a PC!
It only affects items that you have equipped, but because of that you're able to make more powerful enchants with the Alchemy/Enchanting loop (which has a limit, unlike the Fortify Restoration exploit). @Firdaush0 - you don't need restoration. this is different. it works with just becoming vampire and having the necromage perk.
Yes it does effect the speed aswell as i found out much later still playing skyrim now
These videos are awesome man keep it up! It's nice to hear your voice instead of just annotations :P
@milkychipz - i think the helmet stacking is a glitch but necromage does exactly what it says it will. since you're a vampire, you are undead, and this perk makes spells more effective against the undead. while it feels shady, it really isn't a bug. 2 helmets & 3 helmets are, though.

You can also get 100% spell absorption with atronarch stone and atronarch perk (with necro Mage) you must have necromage first
You can put Health Regeneration enchantments on your outfit.
Magic resist like armor is capped at 80% mitigation. You can have a 700ish armor rating which meets the cap or a 20,000 armor rating and its still only stopping 80% of damage.
It is going to be insane to be a necromage vampire when Dawnguard releases!
it still works. and i think it always will. this is something good. and they've only been fixing bugs that everyone hates. such as quest conflict glitches. they've kept the oghma infinium glitch, the mannequin cloning armor glitch, and the restoration glitch. they havent nerfed anything. so this will stay. i think.
So, i have the perk, now i just need to re-equip my items and armor and the enchantments on them raise, they become stronger, right?

Why didn't you test the atronach stone?

What did you mean with preventing changing the levels? A vampire can be at level 1 for as long as I like? If NPC's won't attack level 1 vampires I might concider it a permanent change.
@Pms00: Have you in the meantime find an answer on how much the Lord Stone really provides a NecroVamp with magicka resistance?
Damn you now I have to try this I hated vampire for the longest time but this just peeks my interest.
@TheFailGamer27 - werewolves are curable. you can become a vampire as many times as you want as long as you are not a werewolf.
@PinoyBrothers54 - it will let you proceed if you finish the quest to turn the helm in before completing purity of revenge.

Haha, wtf.... I just wanted the necromage perk for my thralls, now that I see this... seems I´ll become a vampire x) Great summary and video, thanks!
@pms00 Is it possible to disenchant an 'Amulet of Talos' and re-enchant a piece of armor with better reduction time than what you showed?
Imagine doing that with death brand because he says that enchanted armor is increased as well.
And every follower from the Dark Brotherhood party won't attack you as well.
In fact: they are the few that accept level 4 vamps.
@Larnac - i have not tested this, but it is a great question. could be another amazing find.
@onlinecrunch - yes. i made a video about that. take a look at the playlist link in the description.
so for poisoned claws on a vampire lord it'd be 30 instead of 20 with the necromage perk?
I know it may be kind of late for this video but are you going to make a video about vampire abilities, perks and builds available in the Dawnguard dlc?

chemically elemental Quick maths
Mjoll wouldnt attack me at stage four. Might have been because i fed on her before she was around me at that stage first.
That's a good question. Could you try saving and then do it and see what happens? I'd be interested in the results.
Well now in the new DLC "Dawnguard" you get a special bow that shoots special arrows. If you shoot the sun with it, the sun gets blocked out. Your useless regen effects are back.
also u can counter the sunlight with auriel's bow right?
will this work with the Konahrik Mask powers? or any of the armer?
Does Necromage increase the power, duration or both of bound weapons?
@Leto85 - watch my video on becoming a vampire. you can prevent changing the levels by feeding.
@iSeraphor - this is cool, except you cannot cast any conjuration spells.
very helpful and greatly detailed
So what ever you have you don't get it boosted so if you get the necromage perk then become a vampire would fit the bill.
does necromage still work for a vampire or has it been patched?
@athfuhshgh - its also bugged to give you a bonus to smithing effectiveness (like smithing potions) instead of smithing leveling experience.
Im playing on ps5 and i bought the anniversary edition of the game is the unoffical skyrim patch installed? Can i still make a necromage vampire?
High Elf Battlemage, Hybrid with aetheral crown and the Ritual Stone...
So OP. :p
@pms00 well the game is full of glitches
it is something about becoming werewolf at the transition of stage 1 or 3 to 2 or 4 or something like that
Does the Necromage perk also affect player-enchanted items that you give to Dead Thralls, or does it only count items directly equipped by the player?
it only effect items you have equipped. But with the raised boost you can make better gear and potions and with better potions you can make better enchantments and better enchantments mean better potions which goes back and forth for quit some time and you can create the most broken equipment of all time with this method.
It does, he states that in the video.
with elemental fury he was like the flash with those daggers rofl xD
does the 25% effect mehrunes razor inta kill 1.89%?
would necromage effect perks like alteration's magic resist perk line, or quest perks like agent of mara?
@joaoluizsn Spam Turn Lesser Undead on low-level Draugrs or Skeletons with the Mage Stone active.
My breton vampire with the Lord stone shouldn't worry about magic attacks.
vegetable soup, 0 magicka cost spells, absorb health on weapon. not sure what regeneration you actually need in this game?
Vanilla ps4 feb1 2020 vampirism and necromage does not work. Falmer plus 1 circlet does.
how did you have a carry weight of 1997 in 5:50 ?!?!?!
@joaoluizsn - i already did a video on how to cure it. why would you want to cure it after watching this video?

I snuck in as a vampire and they didn't even say 'your looking pale' or something. Maybe it was because I finished the quest line... have you?
you sir earned another sub
@PHIFan20 - he is useful but he is far too annoying for me, and i put up with cicero and dead thralls groaning for a long time. now that i have the achievement, he is going to die to the axe this go around.
@TheMegatraum - sadly, no.
how are you bringing people back to life?
Does a vampire lord have this benefit ?
Yes since is also counted as undead
Does it enhance perks?
Yes it affects certain Perks by 25%. Check the official Skyrim Wiki for Necromage Perk and the list of Perks it affects.
there are blood potions also
quick question, if i cure the disease after i have gotten the bonuses i desired do i still keep all the bonuses?
fam2opp2212 no. Plus, if you cure and try to become vampire again necromage will not work since you need to get necromage perk after you become vampire. Unless you legendary resto or use apocrypha to reset the skill tree everything will go back to normal.

yes
Jack Copp yo this is late but I just became a vampire and I'm not getting any enchanting benefits at all or anything
Jacob christopher - You have to become a vampire and then choose the necromage perk for it to work.
some1 help me my shouts dont increase i get new shouts but i dont get to use them THEY ARE GREY! halp ;(
But, blessing dont cure the vampirism? (I know that past 9 years, but i'm curious of that) :)
After you turn, no it can't
I have all the perks for 100% magic absorbtion but it doesn't
its capped at 85%
Spell absorption has no cap, magic resistance however is in-fact capped at 85%. That's odd, if you applied the alteration perk after becoming a necromage vampire, you should have full absorption.
Mdkirk95 Maybe the weakness to fire due to being a vampire is affecting it?
and farkas, aela, and vilkas
Release the Heroic Spastic! 7:42
This doesn't seem to work anymore.
no
Does this still work?
Histskin + necromage + dual healing = invincible lizard
how did you get that much gold? ^^
i somehow became a vampire... can i change back??
Stage Zero Vampirism necromage.
