  • Francisco de Asís Tárrega y Eixea (21 November 1852 - 15 December 1909) was a Spanish composer and classical guitarist of the Romantic period. He is often called "the father of classical guitar" and is considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
As a composer he transcribed a lot of piano music for guiter, like the famous Asturias piece from Albinez, which you will find elsewhere ( • Isaac Albeniz, Asturia... ) on the channel. But he also composed guitar music himself. The Capricho árabe is one of his masterpieces. Tárrega composed it in Valencia, influenced by the mixture of the Muslim, Castilian, and Christian culture in that beautifull city.
And of course, with such a masterpiece, you will get people that transcribe it to piano. Delucchi transcribed the version you see and hear in this video.

I'm glad I found this... I've been working on my my own transcription... My imagination is not similar in style to this, but I've had some good ideas from listening to it. (I imagine the mood and melody completely different; much more "Arab" in style, but this is very lovely too!) ✌️❤️🇪🇸!

It's a different style than I was looking for but wow, you are proficient and made it your own too.
Excellent timing, adding your twists in between. I've heard others and they rush each pause, where you fill it with style at least.
    Great!

Nice suggestion. However, I cannot find a piano transcription for it. Do you know where to find it?

"Lagrima" for Piano? I bet you could probably write it out for yourself if you have the guitar music: try transposing it from E/Emin into A/Amin; you won't need to add much... Have fun, and let us know how it turns out! ✌️

I would play the "small cadenzas" much more slowly... I suppose those passages are intended to sound like a "muzzein calling out from a minaret", but perhaps they are intended as brief flourishes? Also, there are gaps in the melody; in the guitar version, the "accompaniment" also provides melody notes... In this realization, they are omitted and replaced with 8th-rests (unintentionally, I'm sure).
