- Today I am making goat milk soap, a creamy white goat milk soap and a charcoal goat milk soap. I love using activated charcoal in soap because it draws out impurities in the skin, which is great for my daughter who has acne.

You can buy from soap supplies stores, goatmilk melt and pour bases which you can use in 1 day later :) ( I hope that helps you :))
The soda was dissolved in the milk and before adding to the oils, the remaining water was added

I want goats sooooo bad but will always have dobermans and the two will never work together. Especially since fenced in area would be utilized by both. I have no idea why I love goats like I do but I have babysat them for a friend who had horses and fell head over heads for one of them. He adored me. It was so fun.

I was wondering, when using goat's milk, is there less shelf life to the soap? And what about the cure portion, is it still 6 weeks like other soaps? Thanks for sharing, love watching yet I still haven't tried any recipe out yet. ❤ oh yes, can canned goat's milk work the same?
Don’t know if u found your answer yet but yes, canned goat milk is slightly the same. I’m assuming it’s evaporated milk. If so, take the water amount and only use half. So if your recipe needs 8oz water, only use 4oz and mix it with the lye. When it comes time to add the lye mix to the oils, add the 4oz of evaporated goats milk to your oil first and mix well. Then add lye solution. Hope this helps

Hi Jamie! The stick blender that you use-does it have 2 separate buttons that you have to hold down at the same time to make it run? My Cusinart does and it sure makes it hard to use; either you have to use 2 hands or be really coordinated to hold down 2 buttons in 2 different places. LOL. Thanks in advance for your response.
Mine has two different speed buttons, but I only have to hold down one button at a time. That does sound difficult to use, I would not be coordinated enough for that... lol My stick blender is really old, so maybe that’s why?

Can you make soap with just milk and lye or oils is a must? If not what would you say the maximum percentage of milk you could use?
I don't think lye and milk will work, you'll need oils. First, figure out how much liquid you need for the lye. Then, either use 100% of milk in place of distilled water or 50/50 (water/lye).
What's the next best thing for goats milk substitute
I don't know if it's the next best thing but if you're avoiding any animal product, try coconut milk.
Is that just frozen goat's milk ? Or did you buy the soap?
I freeze my goat's milk for soap making, it helps to prevent the milk from burning or browning when you add the sodium hydroxide. I have not bought soap in years...lol

Charcoal is messy. There's no way around that. :)
What kind of gloves are required?
I brought some gloves to wash dishes and put one to the side to make soap. I've also used gloves that mechanics use also. So, any gloves just to help just in case the lye or raw soap splashes on your hands.

How to make soap using goat’s milk, but I’m not giving this recipe out. And with that, I’m out. It’s not that I don’t have time or that I’m not extremely relaxed and casual, it’s that I appreciate more professionally-targeted approaches to diy. I would probably watch videos of you hanging out with the goats or on the beautiful land you’re so lucky to live on, as I found that part relaxing and felt like I was there hanging out with you, but then I snapped out of it quick when it was the here ya go, recipe-no show realizing I do need to move on to a follow through video. So, bye!

lye mixed in with the goat milk... doesn't that defeat the purpose of "the purity of the goat milk"..... no disrespect, but why the lye???
Lye (sodium hydroxide) is needed to make soap, you can not make soap without it.
In the saponification process the lye is non-existent after the soap cures. So many people have no clue and yet they make statements like these. There is zero lye left when she is done. Without it you don't have soap
