- We had some luck fishing a FAD Buoy offshore Honolulu, Hawaii. These FADs (Fish Aggregating Devices) are put out by the state to be utilized by fisherman. This one is anchored 18 miles offshore. When we got back to the dock we filleted our fish. I cooked Mahi Mahi a few different ways. I baked half of it with mayo, capers, and cajun seasoning on top (one of my favorite ways to cook it) and the other half with lemon, garlic, and cajun seasoning. I also wrapped some pieces in bacon and pan fried it which turned out pretty good.

RIght on! Mahi bite is on 🔥🔥🔥
It was awesome there for a couple weeks!
That looked like a lot of fun fishing by the buoy. The bite was on for the Mahi Mahi.
Ya nothing big but lots of action!
Great job! Bought a baby trigger fish jig at POP after a similar trip to HH and mahi bellies were busting with baby trigger fish. Probably the reason they were not biting opelu like we thought they would that day. Have not had a chance to try yet but looking forward to it some day.
Thats cool! I havn't tried that either. But I see them in the stomachs all the time
mahi madness
Like a well oiled machine . If you could take us opelu fishing some day. Mahalo
Same 🤑🤙💯🔥
I'll try to get that sometime
Looks crowded at HH that day.
Very crowded out there
