- I forgot how much work goes into painting water... But I love it :) This took about 15 hours over 2 days to make, plus lots of breaks to stretch my back after hunching over those tiny details. Thinking about getting into more water pieces again - just have to find the time!
Oil with gel medium on 6"x6" paint panel primed with acrylic.

I’d pay like 200-500 for it. It’s beautiful and the supplies used can’t be cheap.
i love how timeless this looks-like it has a look that could be from somewhere in the 19th century, but it also feels modern.

I think it's amazing to! The hardest thing about oil painting for me is the smell. The first time I tried it, I was literally gasping for air!

Twisted Foot Kinda does. When you think of water this is what you think of. Hop over to the ocean and lakes and they can be all sorts of colors like green, black, and really dark blue. Not exactly what you imagine water to be.
I love how you’re exposing younger generations to classic painting styles, hopefully we’ll get out of this horrid relativist era of just splattering red paint on a white canvas and calling it art because you have to interpret the meaning. This is real art!

It must've taken them years and years of work to get to this point. I'm an artist myself and I've been taking art seriously for seven years. But even after seven years of hard work to improve, I've still got a shit ton of a way to go, and I always will. There's nothing left but improvement and there's always room for it XD

i dont think this "comes naturally" for anyone. this is likely caused by years and years of practice and studies and the painting itself probably took hours/days

Everyone keeps saying they wish they were this talented. And yes, she's _very_ talented. But only because she *practices.* It's not like she just woke up knowing how to do this, it takes time and effort. If you really wanted to become that "talented," you could. And if you're already working on your art, I have faith in you! Keep going.
