Its really bizarre to me the product is called a "Stock" when anyone who knows about guns know that it isn't a stock. a Stock is the piece you put against your shoulder to steady your aim, this is more or less a haptic weight that better simulates a pistol for immersion sake. super cool though and for Game like Radius or alyx where immersion is what you're there for than its a super cool Idea!
Pistol Whip will be perfect for this, especially as them being weighty it'll add to the cardio lol Time to be crushingly disappointed that they're U.S only or some shit. So much VR stuff, from games to accessories are just locked to the U.S and it's BS. EDIT Yup, not available here FFS. Well great vid, hope they hit one day, did try to use your affiliate link and even searching for them manually in thew U.K they just flat out don't exist.
Alot of these peripherals that start emulating force feedback like these stocks actually decrease actual competitive game performance, but increase immersion and tactile satisfaction like 150%. I think it's a worthy tradeoff. I even got an actual bow peripheral cald the shadow shot that really makes shooting VR bows feel like the real thing In certain games, but it makes it almost impossible to really achieve good/competatice scores in games like holopoint or tower defense games bc of how physically demanding it is to actually pull back and release a bow over and over again even when it's only a 15-20lb draw weight.
@MartydudeVR yea look up the Deadeye VR Shadow shot. I've tried it with a few games and some games, the offset of the bow is pretty bad and almost unusable, but it's really good for" In-death unchained, Holopoint, and All in One Sports VR. It's not really great in any game you have to pretend to reach back and grab an arrow from a quiver before shooting. You need games that auto load an arrow when you grab the bow string. (Or at least have the setting to have that feature). Because you just essentially grab the trigger and the actual bow string at the same time, then release both to shoot. Having to grab an arrow in vr before grabbing the string complicates the whole process and makes it clunky bc u gott try to grab the arrow then still hold down your grab button while also trying to find and grab the actual bow string, and it's just a mess lol
Great honest review!
Glad you liked it!
Great lil video. The distance that trigger has to go before breaking a shot on a gun is called the "travel". The gunstock trigger has more "travel".
Damn it's really cool!!! 😮

that blowback feedback looks awesome. but i got them bobo grips so i don't think my joints would fit without having to take em on and off 😅😅

W video I’d like to see a AR style one with haptic feedback not that sounds more my speed
