  • This episode sees former SAS soldier, bestselling author, and diagnosed “good” psychopath Andy McNab join @TheRealDrKev and Bruce as they dissect the unique mindset of Special Forces operatives, discuss what it takes to work undercover in highly volatile and suicidally dangerous war zones...and how being a psychopath can definitely help! Kev and Bruce also delve deeper into Andy’s psychopathic tendencies and hear how a trip to the pub one afternoon almost resulted in “a level of physical violence you never knew existed”; how Andy once met himself chatting up a couple of girls at a literary festival (and was delighted to observe himself doing rather well!); and how, in recent years, his ability to empathise with others has received a boost from a rather unusual source...emojis! This and much, much more on Episode 6 of #PsychoSchizoEspresso.

Great podcast. I’ve read most of Andy’s books, my favourite being Immediate Action. I’ve listened to Bruce and his fellow cronies religiously for 30 years and picked up a guitar 27 years ago because of Maiden. I’ll be sure to look up more of Kevin’s work but in the mean time I’ve ordered, because of this video, The Good Psychopaths Guide to Success…. for those troublesome moody wife/barroom brawl tips. Great video lads😉👍👍

I do not know if you guys personally read the comments, but I thought it was too big a coincidence that I happened upon this video barely two minutes after upload, so before this whole thing floods with comments, here goes my voice into the Internet void.
It's off topic but still, RUclips as a medium does offer a much more direct contact with the creators themselves. So, Bruce.
I reckon this is going to be the most direct way I will ever have to say something to you, and I want to say thank you. Of course I know how many times you must have heard that your music changed someone's life so I will try to make it more interesting: of course all that is true with me, nothing has ever been the same since when I was 11 my best friend told me "yo, there's godzilla in a music video from the 80s" (he was obsessed with godzilla), the video was the number of the beast, and since then I cannot describe how your work has helped me through many hard times of sorts.
Thanks to you I became bilingual, I wanted to understand your lyrics and your interviews, and your jokes to the crowd in-between songs, so I studied and practiced and now I've been making a living for years thanks to teaching. I fell in love with poetry and creativity and writing and oh my god I feel so cliche now that I'm writing it all down. But i suppose that's the kind of impact an artist has on people, yours was just one hell of an impact.
Anyway im so sorry about the rant, i just thought I'd take this chance.
Oh also one last funny thing I think you'd like, we don't really have college here in Italy but it's sort of the same "level", in order to graduate you have to write a thesis and all, mine was titled "Friedrich Nietzsche, William Blake and Heavy Metal"
    I'll let you guess why!

@@chequeavailabilitea that's fair enough, it was worth a try though wasn't it? :^) no worries tho, it ain't over yet, I'm going to personally thank Bruce one way or another:D

Awesome listening to two of my heroes, Bruce and Andy (aka Steve) in the same vid. Surreal. I feel like a little kid sitting in a pub with a bag of crisps listening in on two cool uncles having a bit craic over a pint. Loving it.
