      He's one of those rare gifted individuals in terms of his stamina. But he's the product of the NCAA program in the US which is 80% offense. They pound into you that notion of attack, attack, attack, and break down your opponents willpower.

      Jay B Spot. On. I can’t help but notice a lack of urgency in middle eastern and Russian wrestlers. They are technical, they are patient, and they are strong, but they are not urgent.

    I've watch this guy wrestle since he was in grade school .. He's has won on every level, nothing but the best.

    Damn. He Taylor really filled out. He was a 135/140lb-er as a senior in HS. Wrestling 190lbs.
    I wrestled 145 Sr year and the heaviest I got was 180. In college. (Thanks Busch light) dude prob walks around near 205-210...

      I remember when David taylor pinned Erdin recently... the turks were "oh David got lucky". So you are calling it luck again? Ya know it's funny how the more David Taylor practices....the "luckier" he gets. You can see the look on Erdin's face, he knows he got beat by a warrior; not some lucky chap. Kudos hombre! 💪

    How does anybody downvote this video? Awesome match! Taylor is a beast but the other guy was not bad either! I so love wrestling. People do not realize that the US is a wrestling factory, with teams in high schools everywhere.

    He had a tougher time in the earlier rounds... he seemed so confident in that final. Does anyone know what DT was seeded in this weight class? Pretty sure he beat some champions to get to the final. Maybe he had already beaten the best in the weight class and figured this wrestler would be easy work.

    David Morris Taylor III in 2023 is already Olympic Champ (2021), 3x World Champ (2018, 2022, 2023). I think it's great. Especially when he's beating one of best wrestlers in the world-Hassan Yazdanicharati.

    Obviously Taylor is a tremendous technical wrestler, but it seems to be as if he's also got a size/strength advantage on most of his opponents. Anyone else think so?

      Yes, he does look much bigger than Erdin. Funny thing is that Taylor moved up to 86kg all the way from 74kg, because he was having trouble beating Burroughs and Dake. Imagine how big he'd look at 74kg.

      @@caveman726 I understand what you're trying to say, but clearly size does matter. If it didn't, there would be no need for weight classes. If it's all about heart and effort, does that mean that all the Americans who didn't win Gold didn't have enough heart, or didn't train hard enough? Hard to believe that would be true given they all had the same coaches, and trained in the same room. Size, strength, and skill matter. The necessary effort, training, and heart all build off those basic building blocks.

    Since 2013 David Taylor is unbeaten internationally. He has only lost at trials and to other americans (mainly dake and burroughs). He has gotten much better over the last 2 years so I think he can beat those guys next time.

    I don’t really follow wrestling. Can someone explain how he won? Is it reaching a certain point? Being ahead by a certain amount? All I know is winning by points when time runs out and pinning.

      When you get to a 10pt lead, it is a tech fall. Taylor turned him at the end which put him ahead 12-2.

    Spor böyledir yenmekte var yenilmek te.. branşımda bende Ruslarla uğraşıyorum.. bazen onlar Bazen ben.. birazda nasip işi..ama burada vatandaşım çok zayıf usa ya göre

    Güreşte saniyenin önemi çok büyük dışardan eleştirmek kolay adam istemezmi yenmeyi amerikalıda teknik ve tecrübeli bizim uşak çok çalışması gerek azimle ertesi gün idmanlara yinede canı sağolsun oraya çıkmak çok zor
