Was that a police checkpoint when he spoke to you? You had to verify why you were there or leaving? I noticed both soldiers and police in the area which I took it to be Jewish. Just curious. Like your style of filming everything, you and surroundings!
Yes thats the entrance to the temple mount and not everyone can enter easily due to the sensitivity of the place. Personally it was my first time doing this kind of virtual walk through the old city and I wasnt really sure where I was. I just walked around randomly based on what I found interesting in the moment. Technically if you are jewish and want to go up to temple mount you need to do it with a police presence otherwise there is a very high chance you will be attacked. You are not able to go there without it. I realized it was the entrance and I wasnt planning to enter so I continued in a different direction. It was quite an interesting walk for me especially since it was really early in the morning so I could cover a lot quickly. Thanks for the support I really appreciate it.
Hi Linda There is no such thing as a quarters for black jews. The jewish quarter is an area where jews live in the old city. It could be a jew of any color.
