OH I GET IT. I understand the hater comments now. When some one is so ridiculously good at something, people find a need to nitpick and find flaws. Travis Orbin is a drum god - Nuff said.
@cahslundglass As he says in the description, check the description for "Splinters". It's pretty clearly not his new Reference Pure kit, that's in a natural maple finish like his old Truth kit.
@romeo13x If you count the triplets he is playing, it's a total of 6 notes with the bass drum followed by the snare on the 7th note. He begins the sequence with his right foot, so the final note of the 6 must land on the left foot(because he is using straightforward footing--RLRLRL). It does. On the 7th you never see the right foot come down. Unless he played some retardedly sneaky set of two triplets with his left foot at the end, I don't see how it could be the bass. I'M ONTO YOU ORBIN.
@romeo13x I was thinking that too but its hard to tell. I am looking at both of his legs and it doesn't seem to me that either landed on that down beat.
Because Traivs is a hard-hitter, they have to adjust the stand each take to keep the same audio level... now calm the fuck down. It was funny the first time someone said it, but now... -.-'
Still my favorite song by these guys. Probably would've helped a lot if this was out before I tried learning it so I could see what you were doing!
@ 1:10 those cymabl crashes were SOO tight and fast. unbelieveable. then he goes right back into the groove seamlessly
your set up and style are so unique and just awesome haha love your vids
came home from work to this? thank you so much mr orbin :D

Roll at 3:10 was so cool sounding it was awkward in the measure but i think thats why it sounded so great.
@shaftninja You have no idea the level of satisfaction that I have just achieved.
LOVE YOU.
The Set Apart sessions are fast becoming some of my favourite videos from you, great work as usual!

So solid! Damn this makes me want to go tear it up on my drums! well atleast i have my trusty pad to kill my thirst
@Funkysajmi Tear 'em up!
Oh man, thank you for trying to quell all the "YOUR CHINA MOVED" bs. Great drumming, man. This is quite a catchy tune from these guys.
@CaseyTheDrummerBoy Nevermind. I noticed you cut it a few times afterwords to move the china.
tearin it up eh?!

@gaigewilderdrums Taylor must've added it for effect.
Wow, the drums sound fucking awesome in this. What equipment do you use?
love. your. art.
I was watching some 38 Special and Alan Jackson videos...and I ended up here.
@duvaldrummer Thank you!
taylor's recordings sound so freaking good. you did this with him, right?

Chiodos + Stray From the Path = this band.
im in that weird part of youtube where the china moves by itself
Is that an invisible floor tom I hear @2:40?
Hey Travis, you should leave equipment info so we can see what drums your using every video you make :)
@duvaldrummer No doubt. The guy has 1 or two comps in a song and people shit their pants.
I take it you messed up somewhere shortly after 1:23 or you had to move the china back?
Just wondering, but why do you keep your cymbals so tight?
In Soviet Russia, china cymbal moves towards Travis Orbin!
How many different videos are there in this one?
@duvaldrummer Tell me about it. I always wonder how can these people can keep repeating themselves over, and over, and remain sane.
duct tape that china down man
I don't get how people can watch his vids and leave worrying about a damn china..
not feeling the vox but music is sick though there drummer is gonna have fun learning this guy hope he can read tabs[=
after 120 videos he still doesnt secure his china hahahahaha
uh oh

@gaigewilderdrums to me it sounds like a bass slide down.. just sayin..
that china and over head mic need to calm the fuck down
