Finneas is a genius for that. The way I interpret that is like the tide going back out to sea. Like her normal delivery for the chorus is the tide rolling up on the beach..that section in reverse? It’s like the water rolling back out..

Some of the earlier ones I think y’all will enjoy are Hostage, Lovely (one of the most beautiful songs ever), and Bellyache. Bellyache is a fun one where she takes on a character. On the deep side, Everything I Wanted made me feel truly seen in my depression for the first time. It perfectly describes that place I went when I was not at all well. Also, NDA has an amazing video that was all practical. I don’t know how insurance allowed it to happen, but it’s soooo good.
