After watching her series on the nuances of the piano, this is the selection I immediately turned to. The changes in melody, bass/treble, and volume are more easily detected by me now. I also enjoyed the photography-very relaxing with the music.

Your interpretation is similar to Rubinstein or Zimmerman, but with your natural fill-in. Specially, your brain is thinking about the sea, the mountains... the nature. Since the movie Amour, a lot of people are thinking in in the life, in the older life, or in the love, but you are my hope, because in my mind return the idea, and the first things that I thought when I was listen this beautiful piece... I was think in water, plants, rain, the universe, also think that the meaning is that! great!!

I was wondering what the miracle of this fantastic performance is: the sound of the piano, the delay... but it is Irina herself, and there is something in her playing that is not decribable, it is much more than "only" feeling- might be she comes from another planet :-), so beautiful, deep and lifefully- I never heard this Impromptu in a better Version.

Oh, those wonderful low-note trills of Schubert. He used that to such incredible effect in his last Piano Sonata D. 960 in B flat in the marvelous first movement. Great poetic playing here and nicely captured scenes outside, so beautiful, just like this masterpiece on solo piano by Schubert.
I want this played at my funeral!

You realize your skills as an artist whenever you manage to recreate the original as if it were your own work and give it the meaning the composer intended to convey. This is beyond the notes on the sheet, it is a fusion of hearts and minds across the time, in the bliss of eternity. Every musician tries to put in sound his or her experience of the transcendental, through his or her individual character. Irina really understands Schubert's frame of mind, as we still witness it from his letters, and can merge with his soul to express what he felt and saw in his inner eye. The meditative pictures and the sublime beauty of nature in them match this perfectly. But nothing moves us more than sound...

Wonderful Irina. I played this a few years back but developed a Left shoulder injury whilst practicing it, as the left hand seem very still for long periods, and also doing those left handed trills. The greatest part you do Irina is making this “difficult piece” - sound easy ! Wonderful. 👍🙏
