I was at that game living in the Bronx just a short drive cross the George Washington Bridge Terry Rodger’s son of Johnny The Jet. Looked to follow his father it’s tough to follow a legend . Still good little football player .
Terry Rogers had blazing speed. 3rd Fastest player in school history at the time, A Blistering 4.18 40. With plenty of time to surpass Keith Jones and Dana Brinson as the fastest. He might have been great, but blew out both knees. He was only a Sophomore in 1988 coming of the 87 Redshirt year after getting some playing time as a True Freshman in 1986. He was Redshirted I believe due to a torn hamstring. I think he was up to about 175 here. He was only about a 160 pounds as a freshman. No telling what might have been.
@@jesusrivera743 I'm very disappointed at the lack of season Highlight videos of the 1981-83 season found on-line? No recap videos on RUclips at all or anywhere that I know of. It's always just the same few games. Why is all that historic footage sitting in vaults someplace possibly turning to dust? Where are all those Tom Osborne Shows which were 90 minutes long back in the early 80's. Tons of great highlights that practically nobody has seen in over 40 years. The University should dust off that old footage and upload it on their own website.
@@cornfednebraskaneer LOL. They lost to every ranked team they played. Got routed 27-0 and 52-15 the next two weeks to drop out and stay out of the top 20. Yes, they were a horrible team.
Yes, although they may take awhile (if i have them or they're on youtube). I do prefer to stay away from games that are too recent though, since they are usually taken down quickly and likely jeopardize the channel.
SteelBuck 6 don’t worry, any games I request are not what I call too recent. The latest games I’ll ask about are from the 2005 season. Any other games I ask about are all before 2005-06 season

Texas A&M played in the kickoff classic twice - 1988 and 1998 - and lost both by the score of 23-14, the latter to Florida State!
The Aggies were a tough squad.
