This country must put the law abiding, tax paying CITIZENS of this country before the perpetrators of crime and uninvited foreigners. Sure, if it’s a young person committing a nonviolent crime, they can be afforded some leniency. I used to agree with you, but we’ve got much bigger problems than the police, today. If we don’t have basic law and order, we’ve got nothing. I had assumed that the general public were better people than we’ve proven to be. I don’t steal, commit violent acts or harm others because it’s wrong, not because I’m afraid of going to jail. Once the percentage of people who accept that premise falls below, say 80-85%, society is done. Those inclined to be law abiding will feel like suckers for paying for things with their hard earned money, when they can take what they want without consequence.
