However, I still managed to recognize quality and I still think of those movies fondly and that does pay in the long run. I have copies of Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Prince of Egypt and Lion King in multiple formats.

I agree with that last sentence, but Puss wasn't alone the second time he saw death (kicking the money over right after escaping Jack) or the third time (big braw over the map, saw death, which caused him to run into the woods.)

I feel like he may have gotten a little confused death didn't leave puss because he stopped being afraid he left because after mocking him for so long he showed him the respect he was due as well as showed that he finally learn to value his life after wasting eight of them. At the very end even after disarming death he admitted that he would never be able to defeat him but that he would also never stop fighting for his life. He stopped running from death he stopped trying to find easy way out like the wish but he still admitted that death was the one oponint he couldn't be at

Makes sense to why he’s a wolf out of every other animal, it’s because puss is most likely afraid of that animal the most out of all animals.
I think he uses the form as a wolf to blend in with the fairy tale animals and he knows that the wolf is portrayed as " Big,Bad" and gives fear and is a trickster like to little red riding hood and the little pigs.

Death had power over Puss because Puss "laughs in the face of death" meaning he didn't fear death, thus he never valued his life. Here in Venezuela we have "El Silbón" , in English it would be like the whisperer , it's an old legend of a man who kill is father and ate his guts , but his grandfather cursed it and kill it (what a wonderful family)
After that the death guy (pretty tall and skinny like some kind of Slenderman) wake up and walks for the Venezuela's villages and mountains searching for almost, anyone's whispering his song and well... Killing people (his whispering sounds pretty similar to death one's)
